We were in town for an evening wedding and stopped in to pick up lunch to eat at our hotel. Obviously, we didn't want a big lunch because we knew we'd have a ton of food at the wedding's cocktail hour and dinner. So, our goal was to split a sandwich. Walking into Gemini we saw a big store with a long counter full of foods -hot trays of prepared foods like pastas, meat and poultry, cold trays of salads and sides, and a menu board that will take you a full ten minutes to digest. We split a ham and Provolone on rye, a bag of Hal's New York Kettle Chips, and a can of Sparkling Ice for $17. The sandwich was magnificent, I assure you that half a Ge,ini sandwich is as filling as most full sandwiches. Their full menu is crazy huge with breakfast plates, omelets, sandwiches, burritos, French Toast, Pancakes and more. As I look at their menu, I also see Paninis, wraps, hot and cold sandwiches, fajitas, kebobs, quesadillas, burritos, burgers, soups, salads, protein bowls, and those steam table main dishes. In reality, Gemini is closer to a diner than it is to a deli. Just be aware that there is no seating or "dine-in options" here. Every order is a "to go" order. We really had a great experience here. Pro Tip Their hours are limited to breakfast and lunch -6:00 to 3:00 M-F, 7:00- 2:00 Saturday, closed Sunday. They have a big parking lot with plenty of parking. read more

So it seems that their viral Caesar salad crouton sandwich is guna increase that 3 star rating. My friend and I went today and enjoyed a nice lunch in their patio section(no indoor seating). Not really sure why they have a 3 rating because in addition to the good food, the family running the deli are very welcoming. We got of course the Caesar salad crouton and the breakfast quesadilla. I was skeptical at first. Was the it going to be too hard like a crouton, would the bread be too soggy. It was perfect. I appreciate the fact that they use the chopped parm rather than the shredded, gives it a better bite! The quesadilla was well balanced between the cheese egg and bacon and they pack it nicely that if you were taking it to go, it wouldnt get soggy. A fair price point as well. I have come out of my way twice to come to this deli (a 45 minute commute), both times I checked online and they said they were open. Both times I've come on a Saturday, once at 11 am and once at 1:30 pm. Doors locked, no signage indicating closed and they don't update the hours open. Was hesitant to try this place because of the reviews, but figured I'd give it a shot because I wanted to support their vegan menu. When we arrived it seemed like there were some fresh items out of display, but all the pasta/egg/tuna/green salads looked half eaten and old first thing in the morning. I don't think they should be serving day old salads. We decided to order from the vegan grilled menu and got the vegan eggs wrap, vegan quesadilla, and vegan bagel with veg cream cheese. They were all really average tasting and were small portions. The bagel definitely didn't taste fresh. I would've given 3 stars, but they forgot to give us our salsa/guacamole that come with our quesadilla so we had to go back. The worker gave me attitude and said that's an extra charge. I explained to her it was supposed to come with the order and the owner apologized and gave it to me. The guacamole was completely brown. I understand avocados turn brown after awhile, but it was the morning and it shouldn't be turning brown that quickly. This means these guacamole packets were days old once again. Note that this place is definitely for pick-up, there are a few outdoor tables, but for one reason or another there always tends to be something that disturbs us when we try to eat there...Weird air flow making it extra windy, tons of bees in August-sept, eTc...but you can definitely give it a shot, maybe you'll have better luck! The pre-made salads are good, and I'm a huge fan of the meatball parm. I'd recommend trying to go early in the lunch hour to avoid the line, but even at peak time they move pretty quickly. It's one of the many good delis in the area. I have gone there many times over the years I worked by it. There is a little outdoor eating area too. There is a salad station and a hot lunch/deli station. If it is busy, which it often is, you might have to wait on a line to order. The line is defined loosely. You will probably ask a few people of they ordered. They have some premade wraps and salads if you are in a hurry. You can grab a panini too. Gemini is a fairly polished operation completely focused on take-out. This is a godsend for the vastly underserved area of office workers just South. I like that the front facade is an openable area to let everyone and sunshine in on a nice day. The steam table section on the right has roasted pork, meatballs, roasted chicken, chicken kebab skewers and a clear broth clam chowder. I've eaten these a dozen times and highly recommend them. Kicks the heck out of the company cafeteria. Around 1pm, the parking lot will have 3 cars backing in and out, quite an obstacle course. I used Gemini for catering and they will keep a credit card on file if you wish to do so. Our catering guy showed up 20 minutes late, even with multiple confirmation calls prior. He also DID NOT HAVE A LIGHTER to light the sterno and was an all around mess and accompany items were wrong. Fail. Many compliments on the food though. You'll spend half of your lunch break waiting for your food to be prepared and then the other half waiting on line to pay. Slowest service with a long line and one cashier who is simultaneously taking phone orders. Should have gone to Melville deli where the prices are cheaper and have more people working behind the counter. Working right in the area there are so many great places to choose from but myself and coworkers chose Gemini to order our breakfast from. The first time we ordered, the food came super fast. Food was average but it was hot. So because the first experience was pretty much positive, we ordered again. Because the delivery time wasn't too bad we ordered a third time- the delivery, which was only two egg sandwiches and a coffee, took an hour and 10 mins! Giving them a benefit of the doubt, maybe just a busy Monday morning, we decided to give it one last shot, this morning. The order was eggs on a wrap, an egg sandwich, an omelette and a coffee. The food took an hour and a half to get here! The food was ice cold, the coffee was cold and spilled everywhere, bread was soggy and wet. It's ridiculous. When I called asking if the order was on it's way, there was no courteous apology or anything. The food still didn't arrive for 25 mins after the call. The deli has lost us as a customer and we do catered breakfasts that we could have used them for. We'll just stick with Suburban Eats or Deliworx as this hasn't ever happened there.
