Eh, it's ok. They basically are only opened a few hours for breakfast and lunch. They overcharge for a sandwich, $14 for cold cuts on a roll? Not worth it. It is fresh but you can do better, plus forget going there after 1pm on most days, it's basically shutting down for the day. read more

I am a native New Yorker who has been living in AZ, so while I am here in Long Island one of the things I really wanted was a Bacon, Egg, & Cheese on a roll....you would think this is easy to get...but go to AZ some time and order one....blech! Found Ruland on Yelp, and we gave it a shot. Perfect! Exactly what I wanted...needed!!! Add to that, the people there were great.,..Mat took great care of us. This will be our Deli of choice any time we are back in the area. Highly recommend! read more

Nice deli hidden away on ruland road! Staff is friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed the food. The parking lot is a nice size, the prices are great. Just wish they had more of a bagel selection, but hey, we were not disappointed with what we got. Definitely coming back :) read more

Normally i go to the bagel hut in farmingdale- was reading reviews on yelp and ruland rd deli have alot of positive reviews-so i wanted to give it a try. Glade i did, both sandwiches were very good and the portions of the sandwiches were excellent- the salami my wife could only eat half of it so we wrapped the other half for later( thats why in picture sandwich is covered with Saran wrap) will definitely go again when in need of lunch. WOW!! I got the Italian sandwich with burrata for lunch today. It was fantastic. The thing weighed a brick and was bigger than my head. Sandwich is around $10. Worth it because I'll get two lunches out of this bad boy. They use boars head cold cuts which I like. Highly highly recommend. I see they're open for dinner too, I would like to see how their homemade Mac and cheese is. I'll be back! read more

THE DELIVERY DRIVER IS SO RUDE!!!! the food isnt bad but their service is horrendous. i call for delivery to my job which is no more than 5 minutes away from the deli and wait over an hour each time. Advised him which door to go to and he still ended up going to the wrong door giving my food to a random person. blamed me for not providing my name and number when placing my order when he literally never asked. i called back to provide that information and was told that he already left with my order. when the hour passed, i called requesting where my food was and he says he handed it to someone and they gave him a tip. then proceeded to tell me if i didnt like what he was saying i can basically bring my whole family to the deli insinuating some type of altercation, then hung up. I had to go on a wild goose chase for my food and WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. read more

I saw one of my friend's post on Instagram that they named a special sandwich after her and I immediately knew I had to stop at this spot! Ruland Road Deli is a small spot, you may pass it if you aren't paying attention! I walked in and the staff was so sweet - asking me how my day was, what I was up to - it's the little things that matter. I ordered the sandwich and they made it quickly, and they even gave me a free pound cake after I ordered - so sweet! I had to dig right in when I got to the car and WOW. This sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. The meats were all SO fresh and tasty, the veggies were crisp, the burrata was to die for. I also got the cucumber salad as my side and let me tell you, GET IT. Sweet vinaigrette with crispy cucumber? Delicious. We walked in the deli was empty so we got helped right away. The counter person was super friendly. The sandwiches were really good! Food has also been pretty good here and the people are very kind, but the last time I got a bacon egg and cheese with my coworkers informed my decision to never order from here again. My coworker found a hair on her sandwich which prompted me to open up my sandwich where I found not 1 but 2 hairs. This is definitely a nice deli. The bread is super fresh and perfectly chewy. The cold cuts were also good. If you want your sandwich customized, make sure u tell them ahead of time & don't wait cause they'll go with the standard. It's important cause they got awesome variations :) By far though the best thing about this place is the service. Excellent customer service & welcoming folks. I would rate Ruland Road Deli three and a half stars. I had grilled chicken on an egg, onion roll with lettuce, tomatoes, and roasted red peppers. The sandwich was $8. I was very pleased with the breakfast sandwiches and Hero's I ordered today @RulandRdDeli. If your staying at one of the surrounding hotels or live nearby, I suggest you order your breakfast or lunch from here. The staff is very nice & friendly, the food was very good, the coffee was REALLY good, and the prices are reasonable compared to some deli's these days!! Great spot to grab breakfast and lunch when you're on the move (they don't have seating so it's carry-out only.) The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is always top notch. Plus, they have daily lunch specials so you don't have to settle for the same old stuff every day. My personal favorite is the "RK" breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee. Got a ham n cheese hero from here and it was quick and clean and they even gave me a little discount. Nice friendly guys working there. Plenty of parking. Open spacious clean store. Stopped by Ruland Rd deli this morning for breakfast. As always, friendly staff and quick service. I got two egg whites with cheese and turkey. I know they are known for their egg sandwiches but if you ever want to forego the bread the breakfast platter is also a 5 star breakfast! Turkey was grilled perfectly, eggs fluffy and the cheese melted. I also picked up lunch- Ruland Rd first class tuna salad on a roll-- can't wait till lunch time! read more

Stopped here today to grab lunch on my lunch hour since I had to stop at Costco. Figured I'd give it a try since I've never been and it had 4.5 stars. Not so impressed with the selection of food to choose from. Nothing looked that fresh. Wanted breakfast but was informed it ended at 11:30. That's ok, ordered a wrap. Wrap was super tiny, bland, and dry. Wouldn't ever come back here again. I'll stick with my usual Melville or newsstand deli. read more

Wow.. first time calling this place to order food to be delivered, they tell me to hold then another person come to the phone and tells me to hold after I tell them it's for delivery, they didn't even put the phone on hold so I could hear everything being said and all I hear is them bullsh*ting with each other and not even helping customers.. So much for customer service. After hearing what I hear I wouldn't trust these lazy people to cook a meal let alone make the coffee right. read more

This place got decent reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. First, tiny parking lot. Fits maybe 10 to 12 cars. I went because I wanted a good deli sandwich. When I got there I saw their hot foods and noticed Sheppard's Pie. Looked good, got a decent portion. It went downhill from there. No taste. Peas and carrots felt a little hard, like they were still a little frozen, pretty sure it was ground beef, not lamb. Plus I'm not so sure about red peppers in a Sheppard's Pie. Should have went for the sandwich. Figured I give them another try, drove by the next morning and grabbed a breakfast egg sandwich. I can appreciate when food handlers wear rubber gloves, but the guy who took my order was also running the cash register and handling money. Kind of defeats the purpose of wearing gloves. I can only hope someone else was cooking in the back. Ordered 2 eggs, bacon and Swiss cheese - no coffee. Almost $6! Really? I paid $6 for the Sheppard's Pie.
