    Corned Beef Reuben

I haven't been here in years but I came back to see if it was still good. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the 5 stars this time. The roast beef melt was dry and lacked flavor. I aldo remember the bread being better. The sweet potato tater tots were lovely. The tomato bisque sucked. Not as good as I remember overall.

The Grilled Chicken Panini came out good and hot. I get it every time I come here because there is plenty of chicken and arugula. I could never eat it all in one sitting. I always have to save some for later. Roast maintains consistency, so I know that I am getting outstanding quality every time. My order consistently comes out in about 10 minutes, and the chicken is always juicy, tender and tasty. This is the only eatery on Long Island where I order chicken because I usually don't order chicken when I go out to eat. Why order something that I can make at home? The Grilled Chicken Panini is the only exception. It is that good! The customer service is fantastic because staff is always professional and friendly. Be sure to download their app "Roast Sandwich House" to order ahead and to accumulate rewards points. I got $2 off when I first joined because artificial intelligence had already linked my phone number to the debit cards that I used to pay for previous purchases at the store. I accumulated hundreds in rewards points even before I downloaded the app! It is amazing how artificial intelligence works!

Roast Sandwich House located in Melville has a few parking spots in the front and in the back. After ordering up front with the cashier, you can pick any table and they will call your name and bring your order to you once it is ready. This location has 2 high top tables and regular tables inside. There is also a fridge with many drinks to choose from. The menu posted on the wall has soups, salads, sandwiches, paninis, wraps, and breakfast items too. I had the buffalo roasted chicken sandwich and my husband had the roast beef melt sandwich. We shared 1/2 of each. The buffalo roasted chicken had Roasted Chicken Breast, Shredded Romaine, Tomato and Gorgonzola on Toasted Ciabatta. The roast beef melt had Mozzarella, Horseradish Sauce, Garlic Butter & Crispy Onions on Everything Ciabatta with a Side of Au Jus. The ciabatta was fresh and the sandwiches tasted good. We didn't really use the au jus since the roast beef melt tasted really good by itself. The crispy onions was a nice add to the roast beef melt. For the buffalo chicken sandwich, I didn't really taste the gorgonzola. The portions were very good sizes. After you finish, you bus your own table and bring the tray and garbage to the trash can. This is a nice sandwich spot and very filling.

The Roastest with the Mostest! November 2017 was the last time I was at this Roast location. I got the delicious grilled veggie panini on that visit. It has been replaced by the very tasty and unique Crispy Eggplant Burrata Caprese. Ordered this today with an extra side of Basil Mayo. Loved it - the eggplant was fried in thin slices with a little batter, definitely crispy; add that to the whipped burrata, tomato and balsamic combo on the very fresh n tasty wheat focaccia and you've got a fantastic, big and decadent sammie. Roast Melville is a small and cosy restaurant with maybe 30 or so seats inside; 8 outside. You get the vibe of a small town diner as you walk in and place the order with the happy Manager/cashier/ server Kerri who takes care of the line of 6 hungry folks magnificently, efficiently and effortlessly. The energy is great with all seats full and scrumptious food on display all over. I saw this lovely bbq grilled chicken salad, a loaded potato soup, a chicken gyro wrap and a Philly cheesesteak sangwich. The side order of sweet potato tots was staring me down. They all made me second guess my order. This cool eatery has numerous salads, wraps( yes gluten free options available), paninis, sandwiches and three soups.( photo). It serves breakfast all day and has a pick 2 combo selection from the soups, sandwiches and salads. Roast also has a catering menu with some really good choices.( photo). I love that the owner was so kind and on the front lines donating and taking care of medical personnel during Covid 2 plus years ago. This was the original location with Hicksville and Mineola opening later. Love Roast, the great food and the wonderful feel good experience. The Roastest with the Mostest indeed!

I was in the mood for sandwiches, and decided to give this place a try. We ordered four sandwiches for variety; the order was easily placed online and the service was prompt. The roast cubano was savory and salty, with the bread being perfectly crispy. The roast buffalo chicken sandwich was saucy and flavorful, while the eggplant burrata caprese was perfectly fried and balanced with greens. The country fried chicken sandwich had a perfect blend of the saltiness of the fried chicken and the sweetness of the bacon jam. Overall the prices were fair and the food was great. No doubt will be hitting this place up again!

Menu picture for standard Tuna with all the toppings

Pictures in the online menus are deceiving. I ordered with a group and kept it simple with the Tuna and asked for toasted sourdough. I got none of the toppings and ciabatta bread. Tried to call and the woman who answered couldn't understand me. Threw out my food

BBQ grilled chicken salad (no tortilla strips) REALLY GOOD.

OKK is a woman-owned business that prides itself on locally-sourced food without hormones, GMO's or pesticides. The space is located in retail space, with plenty of parking. I walked in to the light, bright, and happy-feel-good space and was greeted by a friendly woman who took my order. I decided to go with the Vegan Smashed Avocado Toast and the Nutty Buddy Smoothie. I took a seat on one of the colorful and comfortable seats and modern rustic tables. A few moments later, my Nutty Butty Smoothie was delivered. The smoothie was tasty (Banana, Peanut Butter, Vanilla Vegas Protein, Raw Cacao and Almond Milk). I like that it was not too sweet, but felt that it was lacking a lot of peanut butter flavor. Perhaps an additional scoop was needed? The Vegan Smashed Avocado Toast arrived next. The presentation was super colorful and looked delicious. Gluten-free bread, Smashed Avocado, Sweet Potatoes, Pico de Gallo and Cilantro. This was quite good. I thought the avocado and sweet potato were delicious, and combined with the acidity of the pico de gallo was a great combination. Overall, a very healthy and tasty breakfast option. I made a reservation for two on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they had our table ready even though we arrived 30 minutes early. Our server was Evelyn, and she was so sweet and she helped us when we were trying to decide between two desserts and three appetizers. We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. The strawberries were not my favorite, I kind of wish that they were just fresh slices of strawberries, but to each their own.
