Every time he's been out, he's been helpful with his knowledge, offers recommendations, he's friendly. I'm not sure what average prices are for the things I've requested, (I mean how much is it to take out a cast iron fireplace?), but I'm happy with the work he's provided me with. They arrived…read moreat 11am with a hose that looked like it had been dragged in oil and dirt on the ground. no brush- just an open hose which went into a vacuum blowing air out the other side. Four vents and they wanted to charge another $100 to "sanitize" it- when all along they reeked of cigarette smoke. They declined cleaning bathroom fan cover and stated they were not trained to do fan. When it came time for payment they changed the name to "Indoor Air Quality"- and when I wrote the wording in a reverse order on the check, they said that's okay and left. No address no phone number on the receipt which simply was titled "Air Duct Cleaning Services". They were here for 15 minutes. And trying to access the "Angie Review" site under their original text message proclaiming the company's name "Colorado Chimney Sweep " had been blocked to my access. BBB gave them an "F". Scam artists at best!

Recently, I reached out multiple times to ask whether the work was under warranty, as the firebox is now deteriorating and looks almost exactly the same as it did before the repair. ($300) I have before-and-after photos from the original service, and in hindsight it appears the firebox was essentially painted black to improve its appearance rather than properly repaired. After fewer than 10 uses of the fireplace over two years, the coating has failed and the firebox is back to its original condition. What's most frustrating is the lack of communication. My calls are now either ignored or immediately disconnected, leading me to believe I've been blocked rather than helped. I don't know the name of the technician who performed the work, but the company as a whole has been extremely unresponsive and unwilling to stand behind their services. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for chimney services.

I was shocked when I went outside to load up for the first real week of subzero January days this year.
