He did an assessment with the issue to ensure it was the appropriate place to resolve. He confirmed that the suspension rods needed to be replaced. I purchased them ahead of time knowing it was a common problem with the unit. He was able to quickly swap them out, calibrate, and I was able to do my test run. CONS: - When Matt the service repairman came to my house I showed him the washer and explained that the washer wasn't draining the water. He immediately said, you need to replace the water pump, and then quoted me $350. I was a bit shocked because he didn't even open the washing machine in the back to see if it was really the pump that was the issue. The error code on the machine said there was a clog, and I asked him how did he know it wasn't a clogging issue and not the pump? Also $350 seemed very expensive given the price of the washing machine is $800, and so it just didn't make sense that I would pay $350 to replace a water pump. I told him we didn't need the water pump but still paid him $69 just for coming to see the washer even though he only saw the washer for less than 3 minutes and didn't even open the back of the machine to make sure that the water pump was actually at fault. Afterwards, I went to an appliance repair store and found out that a water pump only costs $50 and you could just replace it yourself if you watch some YouTube videos.
