I assumed the two problems were connected and was worried that whatever had caused the ice maker failure was now affecting the freezer. The technician checked both issues independently rather than assuming they had the same cause. As it turned out, they were unrelated. He repaired the ice maker and also located the source of the noise around the freezer fan area and made the necessary adjustment. Afterward, he tested both systems before wrapping everything up. One thing I particularly liked was how he separated things that genuinely needed attention from things that could simply be monitores. There wasn't a list of five recommended repairs suddenly added to the invoice.
