Bought a truck from them, used, one year ago. It has been in the shop for 4 months with a broken transmission. The truck had 60k miles and is a 2021. Was also told it was non smoker car but the first summer you could tell it was not. I bought a Chevy Bolt from this dealership summer of 2023. Recently the charger that came with the car stopped working. I called the dealership to get a replacement charger. They said they would need to take my car for 3 weeks to check that the car is fine. The car is fine. I've been charging it on other chargers for 2 weeks now. The service advisor refused to listen to what I was saying. He was completely rude to me. I think he was just trying to get me to get a replacement charger from another dealership so he would have less work to do. I called Fox Chevrolet and they checked my charger (not the car because there's nothing wrong with the car like I told the a****** at genesis Chevrolet) and replaced it in the same day. However, NOW is definitely not the time to NEED a car quickly, but Genesis Chevrolet went above and beyond to get that done for me. The buying process took less than 2 hours, including gathering and getting documents to the team. Vincent handled my sale, and for the lead to be generated from submitting an online interest form the night before, he secured the one Bolt EV they had in stock (no games or gimmicks), and I was out the door within an hour the following day. They had my car for two weeks and could not find a "problem" even though my car wouldn't start and the gas gauge and speedometer weren't working. They don't call and they constantly send you to voicemail. I had to call for updates multiple times before I got someone on the phone. My husband went to pick the car up the first time and our steering column was broke and they accused of of lying, saying we brought it in like that. The manager said he could fix it for us for $325. They told us we could have a rental car but never gave us one and only mentioned it the day before my car was finished. My husband went to pay and they tried charging him $500 and argued with him. We called the manager because that wasn't what we agreed on. In a nutshell, they're the most unprofessional dealership I've ever dealt with. They never fixed my initial problem and tried to swindle us out of more money. They also broke my car and blamed us for it. Save yourself the trouble and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Literally anywhere. I took my car to Genesis for a difficult to diagnose issue. They completed the work to my satisfaction in a timely manner. My only issue was the cost. Based on internet quotes it appears that I paid almost twice as much as is suggested on internet sites. When I left they indicated on top of the repair completed that there were oil leaks which no other mechanics ever mentioned. They gave me a quote of over $3,000 to fix. They said the leak was in a difficult to get to spot andthat was the reason for high cost. I declined the oil leak fix. Will have another reputable mechanic evaluate the oil leak. Then I will know for sure if the estimated cost was too high. I have a feeling they will indicate the estimated cost for the oil leak repair was out of line. I will keep you posted. read more

I went in to test drive a used car and I worked with a salesman named Dudley. The experience was pleasant enough. Was disappointed in the trade-in value so I didn't make the purchase on the spot. A little while later management was open to negotiation and I ended up making the purchase. Would have been a better experience if negotiation could have happened in person the first time I was there and if it didn't take two hours for me to leave with the car but that all seems typical of how dealerships operate. I highly recommend selling your vehicle privately and not trading it in to a dealership because it is a huge rip off. Otherwise I had a decent experience. read more

About 95% of employees do not wear their masks/wear them incorrectly and it's very disconcerting. Luckily, our agent John wore his but they do not enforce mask wearing whatsoever. Hello my name is Tracy Oliver and I just purchased a 2015 cadillac cts and upon my purchase I noticed that the vehicle needed a wheel alignment and that there was vibration coming from both sides of the tires. My salesman was Duvan Dudley and after my test drive he pointed me in the right direction to take care of these issues. First Ken that is the service manager tried to say that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle so I took him on a test drive with me and he said oh yeah there's definitely some vibration going on so what they found out was that the hubs were bent, so they replaced the hubs and resurface one rotor but the vehicle was never test driven again to see if there was still a vibration. Long story short I had to bring the vehicle back again but this time I took it to they're Genesis Cadillac dealership because the vehicle still had a vibration at speeds of 60 and 70 mph so I spoke with a manager by the name of Steve from Genesis Chevrolet and he agreed to fix what Genesis Cadillac found which was still the problem which was an wheel alignment the lower control arms were loose so Steve agreed to pay for all the repairs inuding the on star but not the heated seats and I Don't agree with it because the heated seats were an issue that was not working properly at the purchase of this vehicle so why would you pay for everything else except the heated seats I don't think it's fair that I should have to pay for the heated seats to be repaired when it was part of the issues that I noticed at the time of my purchase. I probably will not be purchasing another vehicle from them. I have been purchasing vehicles from Merollis Chevrolet before it became Genesis Chevrolet since 2004. Would never purchase a vehicle here and these are the main reasons: The place is a dump first of all. It's hard to believe this could be an authorized dealership. Looks like a run down rental in a public housing complex in the 70's especially on the inside. However that's not it's biggest problem nor is this totally unique to this dealership however this is the worst I've ever experienced. The sales people or at least the one I dealt with are a little too eager to make a sale and instead of listening to what their potential clients want their busy talking over us and telling us what they think we want. If your not going to listen to customer then your not going to have one. And now you don't. The salesperson we dealt with was also very good at talking sideways, in other words saying something that sounded like what we wanted then when I got into specifics it was actually the opposite of what he said. For lack of a better term this place feels super shady. It's clear why Moran in Clinton Twp. doesn't really have to try that hard for our business considering this is their direct Chevy competition. Genesis Chevrolet has very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. My 2019 Silverado broke down this morning on my way to work. The info on the dashboard read No Oil Pressure Shut Vehicle Down, Which had me confused because i just took it to Genesis a month and a half ago for a oil change.So I called to make an appointment and was told to bring it in. I explained to the customer service lady that i was at work and needed a loner. She stated they they did not have any loners.....My reply was (thats not my problem, I'm leasing this truck and i have to get back and forth to work, it's not my fault it broke down) Her reply was ' well what do you want me to do magically make one appear! Ummm Yes i do! So i ended up taking it to Moran Chevrolet and was able to get a loner with no problems. At this point i have 2 leased vehicles with Genesis and i WILL NOT DO ANYMORE BUSINESS WITH THEM IN THE FUTURE ONCE MY LEASE IS UP. read more

I recently had the opportunity to work with Dudley and the team at Genesis, and I can't say enough good things. Having been in sales myself, the customer service here is exceptional. My brother called the dealership after hours on a Saturday about a preowned truck. Even though the dealership was already closed for the day, Dudley called him back. The following Monday, I went to the dealership to check it out. Dudley made the entire process so easy. I put a deposit on the truck and then my brother showed up later to see it for himself. I was really impressed by the professionalism Dudley showed along with the Sales Manager and the Finance Manager. I was also impressed with Dudley's ability to seamlessly work with two customers at a time. In auto sales, that is not easy to do! The vehicle itself still had to be inspected, and there were a few things that needed to be taken care of. We went back a few days later to pick up the vehicle. I wish I didn't waste my time here. I brought my car here on Friday to get it serviced due to an alert that popped up had me concerned. Spoke to Eddie who informed me that they will need to keep my car over the weekend. I said that's fine. Monday morning I got a call stating I will need a new engine and it will cost me over $4000! Eddie informed me he could set me up with a salesperson to get new car. I said nope and picked up my car the next morning and took it to my dads mechanic. I just received a call today from the mechanic that it looked like nothing was looked at. The oil dip stick wasn't even moved! Also to add insult to injury I paid $140 for diagnostic testing. Plus after using my card here there were several fraudulent transactions attempted on my account. On a card that is only used in Emergencies! I will never buy a car, get an oil change here, or recommend this place to anyone! They were just trying to take advantage of me because they thought I was a young naive female. NEVER AGAIN! BEWARE OF SERVICE! I took my car in for service on 7/5 and did not receive a call for pick up until 7/11. I had a battery, brakes and serpentine belt replaced. I was quoted a price by Darrin in service and when I went to pick up my vehicle I was charged over $200 more than what I was told over the phone. Darrin in service apologized for not calling me with the additional charges of "labor". I find that practice to be unacceptable and dishonest. The new price Darrin in service quoted still did not add up to what I was being charged. All he could over talk me about was the $20 rebate he gave me. How insulting! I asked to speak with the manager. The manager Ken charged me the price I was quoted. Which I really appreciated and deserving of the one star. When I arrived home I inspected my vehicle and noticed that one of my wheel covers was missing (obviously not being very thorough after replacing my brakes) Not worth calling about. I will take the loss. I will NEVER take my car and will NEVER recommend this dealership for service! Especially with dishonest Darrin working in service.
