If you're paying out of pocket, choose your nursing program carefully. If I could start over, I would take more time researching the faculty, their qualifications, their teaching styles, and how grading is handled. This program is extremely rigid, and many of the professors seem unengaged and underqualified. You'll wait weeks for grades because professors aren't the ones actually grading the assignments; the "higher-ups" are. It makes the entire process feel disconnected and, honestly, a bit fake. There is little to no opportunity for improvement because you never get meaningful feedback. You don't see what you did wrong, and you can't grow from it. Some instructors feel like they're just playing a role, and it leaves me questioning whether they're even fully credentialed. If you do decide to attend Galen, take as many general education and prerequisite courses as you can elsewhere before enrolling. Especially now, with their accreditation currently under review, it's important to protect your time, money, and future licensure.

Now, my son is starting his adventure at CSN for his two year in Computer Science with a focus on cybersecurity network engineering, and then transferring over to UNLV. The Charleston Campus is our primary location that I used to go to, and now my son goes to. He recently had to take a multiple exams to get his Microsoft certification in Office applications. All exams were provided at the Charleston College of Southern Nevada. College of Southern Nevada operates multiple campuses including Charleston, Cheyenne, Henderson, and North Las Vegas. There are several learning centers as well. CSN offers a wide range of academics and career focused programs including associate degrees, certificates, and multi pathways for transfer to four year universities. Some of their studies include business, health sciences, information technology, engineering, education, and the arts. I really enjoyed my time at CSN! My son is as well. The teachers and the community are fantastic. There are flexible learning options including online and evening classes. If you're looking to start your educational journey, I'd highly recommend CSN as a place to go to if you're local in Las Vegas!

Throughout my time here, I witnessed many positive changes that directly benefited students and enhanced our learning experience. The faculty has been incredibly supportive, advocating for students' concerns while maintaining transparency and accountability. They provided the necessary resources for those willing to take initiative in their education and seek help when needed. Dean Green, in particular, actively listened to our feedback as nursing students and implemented meaningful changes that improved the program. The instructors were dedicated to our success, guiding us through complex nursing concepts and ensuring we were well-prepared for clinical practice. Hands-on experience in both the skills lab and clinical rotations was invaluable, allowing us to apply what we learned in real-world healthcare settings. These experiences truly reinforced our critical thinking and patient care skills. Overall, my time here was a transformative journey, and I am grateful for the education, mentorship, and hands-on experiences that have prepared me to begin my career as a nurse. For students who are committed to their success, this program provides the tools and support needed to excel. I've made long-lasting relationships with faculty, and students from different terms and programs and look forward to staying in touch :)

It may be common knowledge to some but I was unaware of the parking policy. If there were posted signs, they definitely weren't posted for someone like me, visiting for the first time. First time on this campus, trying to follow the flow of traffic while trying to read names of buildings, without running anyone over. I definitely recommend visiting the website for the campus FIRST before a first time visit. There is detailed information on everything you would want to know. Definitely my bad for not taking my own advice before going. Aside from my request for flashing neon billboards at each and every turn telling me where to go, The campus is beautiful and well laid out. The staff in the area were very accommodating in helping me in the right direction to where I needed to go. May the Gods be ever in your favor.

The kids did not know, and the administration went on a witch hunt. They did not give anyone a warning and they expelled or suspended an incredible amount of good kids. The administration needs to learn about mentoring young people. It is irresponsible, frustrating, negligent, and horrifying the way they had such disregard for such a large group of students and the unprofessional manner with which they handle their affairs. My son will no longer be attending UNLV and I can only say that if your child wants a true college experience with a fraternity, do not send them there.

Also the MA training by far the most mediocre training you will ever see. Most of what you learn in independent and the instructor never responds when you need help or have question. Basically you're on your own with roughly 20 assignments and discussions. Almost my entire class had so many complaints about the instructor and how she was so mean and for no reason. The instructor puts an extreme amount of homework on the students and then says "no late work is accepted " as if people don't have lives outside of school..They purposely make people have to retake the modules so they can get paid more money. The people in the office especially financial aid rarely answers or returns calls. They take complete control of your financial aid and you won't know how much aid you were approved for and or if there's excess funds and if the max is being requested etc. Then they put so many transactions on a "breakdown" that's supposed to explain what the charges are etc but it's so much b.s on there you won't even understand and it's never clear. Please save yourself from a headache DON'T DO IT!!!
