Second time coming here but first time dining in. Wonderful service. Our waitress was so nice and down to earth. Luckily it wasn't very busy when we came so we were able to be seated immediately and able to order our food quickly. I made my bowl but I wasn't aware they bring your food to your table after you drop it off at the grill! I love that aspect versus having to stand there and wait for your food like other mongolian grill places I've been to. While waiting for our food to be cooked, our appetizer of potstickers came and they did not disappoint. They were quite delicious! It didn't even need the yummy sauce it came with! my cousin and I went here for lunch while on break from our church conference last Thursday. we arrived just before the rest of the crowd did and were quickly seated. I noticed that they were short staffed and seen them notifying people as they sat them. we were completely satisfied with our food and service but I seen people become very impatient and frustrated with the wait for their orders. it personally frustrated me because I felt that they could've been more understanding to their staffing situation and especially seeing that the cook area could only service what they could as fast as they could. I made sure to thank the staff for them trying the best that they could considering the circumstances and apologized for the others impatience. this is one of my all time favorite spots so I plan to return soon! read more

Genghis Grill has good food. You add what you want to your "Bowl" and they cook it up. Make sure to add the extra sauces (easy to forget) and pile the food high! With only one (1) visit to through the line, I feel like it's a little pricey for what you get. Having the option to go through the line again, would be nice. You do get to make your bowl exactly how you'd like it though, so it's hard to complain. They also have "pre-made" options, if you just want to order your bowl, without going through the line. There is literally something for everyone. My kids really enjoy watching their food cooked on the large, round cook top. read more

Miss the calamari and the variety they use to have on meats, other the that the quality of food is good and made fresh.

The pros- if you create your own bowl, you get to pick exactly what you like. That's pretty much a guaranteed win. The ingredient selection is big, so lots of options. There are pre-made selections on the menu, and those looked good as well. It's fun to see your food being cooked on the grill. The biggest pro- it's really yummy! Now, the cons- it's a little on the pricey side- the medium bowl was around $15. The raw meat is unappealing, but that's kind of expected, and that issue goes away before you eat. So it's hard to lower my already poor opinion of service. But this place has managed to "succeed". We stopped going here about over a year ago (pre-Covid) because they were raising prices and making portions smaller almost on a monthly basis. And during our last visit the service was almost non-existent. We though we're would give it another try after church today. What a mistake. Don't order the Dynamite Shrimp. They are not. Four over cooked shrimp on a skewer laying on a bed of cabbage. Don't expect to see your waitress again after she takes your order, they are congregated at the hostess stand all in their phones. If you need refills on water or lemonade; you can take your glass to the bar, but she will tell you she'll get to you in a minute (she is scrolling through her phone too). My Hubby and I go to Genghis Grill often (actually Ridiculous how much I can eat there... at least twice weekly, lol) and love it! Plus, I've downloaded their app, so it's Awesome to use points from previous visits. We went today and used a $5 Offer and was not disappointed, except the weird 3 digit# we had to give the manager... we all were weirded out by that, Geez! Anyway and as usual, Johnathan (on the grill) did a Great job and the manager on duty (forgot the name of the male manager with dark black hair & glasses) was Friendly & Nice, as always. Random rainy Tuesday evening my daughter and I decided on GG. The parking is not great and entry to the joint is awkward. We decided on build your own bowl, the bar were you construct your meal was less than clean. Definitely has a Golden Corral (buffet) vibe. Our meal was pretty tasty, would recommend a small not a medium bowl, lot of food!! The cleanliness was the worst thing about restaurant. Disposable gloves were available to use to pick out our food but the wait for our food to cook was exceptionally long. Only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. The food used to be good for the price you pay. Now it's just bland. When we went in my husband arrived before me and the waitress Theressa sat him and he said I'm going to wait for my wife. She was extremely rude to him. Then when I arrived shortly after she gave us the cold shoulder. Horrible service. There was a lot of down time and instead of cleaning off tables and prepping. The crew was just sitting around talking. When other customers were getting sat the crew would clean off the table the customer was sat at. Totally disgusting and a real let down. We got the 2 medium size meals and waters. The total came out to 40 dollars. When we finally got the check after asking for it multiple times. There was not a place for a custom tip. It was 20, 25 or 30%. That is a rip off because our server did not give adequate service. I have been in contact with a few people now and they keep asking me to leave a review or do a survey. read more

I guess they don't really want private feedback, so a very public dressing down it is. Dear Genghis Grill.... Our table was gross. It had apparently been wiped with a dry cloth, because it wasn't obviously dirty until we sat down and found sticky stuff on the table. Much of the food was burnt - burnt-to-a-blackened-crisp squid and water chestnuts are not delicious. Some of the food items in my bowl were not items I had placed in my bowl to begin with. Not bad, but not amazing. First time going to the chain, and the idea is of choosing a base and then what meats/spices/veggies/sauces you want to be grilled is cool. The food itself was all right. I did like the variety of seafood including salmon, scallops, imitation crab, shrimp, and calamari. I had a small bowl, which made getting veggies difficult. I was also a bit concerned about cross contamination, since I'm allergic to peanuts (thankfully I'm a-ok). Service was kind enough. The waitress checked on us multiple times. In case you're a noob like me, the food process: 1. Choose a bowl size (get regular) with base of rice, cabbage, or noodles. 2. You'll get a receipt and metal bowl where you go to a cafeteria-like line to get topping for your bowl: meat, spices, veggies, sauces. There are little metal cups for sauce or whatever you want to put in there. 3. Take your metal bowl of toppings to the grill, and they'll grill it for you and bring it to your table. read more

Maybe it's the pandemic but the place was absolutely empty. We were the only customers (seriously. The only ones.) so you would have thought the food and service would be up to the standard we're used to when the place is packed. Nope. Forgotten side ingredients, burned food (the cook was really busy with take out orders so back and forth to the bar) and no refills on drinks. My partner immediately tasted the burned flavor - I had to wait until I was at the middle of my bowl before it hit me. Wait staff sitting/standing around - it was not a meal we enjoyed and probably won't return for a while. Whatever you do, don't put the shrimp or calamari on your bowl. Shrimp had a serious rubber bouncy ball effect and the calamari was not only tasteless but was hard and dry. read more

Great fastish create your own food!! Love the concept of selecting exactly what you want in your rice, pasta or tortilla. For stir fry it's the best I've seen. My only concern is 2 things: how do they keep cross contamination from the raw meats into the veggies since you pick your meat 1st then your veggies bc I saw the veggie tongs touching peoples bowls of raw meat as they put it into their bowls & put the tongs back (seems like a stomachache waiting to happen) & I saw a guy double dip his used testing spoon for the sauces ekkkk.
