Great fastish create your own food!! Love the concept of selecting exactly what you want in your rice, pasta or tortilla. For stir fry it's the best I've seen. My only concern is 2 things: how do they keep cross contamination from the raw meats into the veggies since you pick your meat 1st then your veggies bc I saw the veggie tongs touching peoples bowls of raw meat as they put it into their bowls & put the tongs back (seems like a stomachache waiting to happen) & I saw a guy double dip his used testing spoon for the sauces ekkkk. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, and I would come weekly. Over the past year it has been declining & I have come less. Today, I came with a half of a bowl coupon that I was given at a soccer tournament. This was printed by Genghis, it has the restaurant location on it. It has NOT expired!! I was told the new owner didn't take coupons and even though this restaurant distributed it, it would not be honored. I am floored that management would be okay with such horrible customer service. After discussing this with my waiter, Taylor and the manager on duty I was given fairly poor service. Taylor did refill our waters and did bring our bill/to go boxes when asked- but was rude in his mannerisms. I get to choose where I spend my money, and which businesses I will support in my local area & it won't be Genghis!! To the manager- in the $5 you saved by not honoring my valid coupon, you will lose much more in my business!! Now I know why this restaurant is dead and almost completely empty over lunch. read more

I took my coworker here for the first time. I was a little skeptic because of the previous reviews. To my surprise everything was on point. The establishment was nice and cleaned, the table and floors clean bathroom was being cleaned. The food bar was cleaned and stocked. The cashier was nice and friendly. I gave 4 stars because the cook was not friendly and his work was sloppy. We tipped him hoping he would not mix our food with the other meals he was cooking and we'd hope he would not drop any of our ingredients.... but he failed to meet our expectations. Wish we could have taken back our tip money. But overall not bad at all. read more

The interior really needs a good cleaning and updating . Walls are dirty, floor was dirty and the chairs and tables are looking worn. Food was ok- there was a mistake on my order , but the waitress never came by to check on it, so I ate it anyway. A fresh coat of paint would really make this place sparkle. read more

This is a very great place to visit if you want Asian food. What I love about Genghis Grill is that you can choose your own toppings and sauces for your noodles. Awesome food. How could it not be? You pick out everything you ever wanted and they cook your mess for you. Cocktails are good and we had this little black girl as our waitress and she was the best ever. I have never asked for a certain server at a dining establishment, until now. If every server was half as good as her, restaurants would thrive all the time. She even ran out after us in the parking lot to give us complimentary hurricane glasses that get half off on drinks when you bring them in. Think i'll go back today as a matter of fact. read more

I was out at a client in South Tulsa and stopped by Genghis grill for a quick lunch. The service was friendly and there wasn't a wait which makes for a convenient lunch. Unfortunately going through the line to create my bowl was disturbing - everything seemed like it had been sitting out forever. Luckily I'm a vegetarian but the meat products looked pretty suspect. The veggies were ok but definitely didn't ooze of freshness. My rice bowl tasted fine - comparable to the rice dishes at Pei Wei. I'm kinda big on freshness though so I don't think I'll be back. read more

Good place and fun too. This is different than say Hu Hot or some other Mongolian places you get one bowl and that is it. This is not a all you can eat place. Also you only get one small bowl to make your sauce. Granted this is still enough food to fill you up but sometimes it's better to get multiple smaller bowls to make several different dishes. The thing that gets me is the side plates, pot stickers, springs rolls etc. Some frozen reheated pot stickers is $6 bucks when a whole meal is $9-$12. I haven't written a review in alonggggg time but tonight's experience is changing all that. Besides the build-your-bowl and nice atmosphere I wanna talk about the service. As soon as we (me & wife) enter we are confronted with which table we'd like and are escorted to table. Usually you have to stand there looking host in the eye before you're told: "right this way." Our waiter for the night was spot on, nice, respectable and acted like he wanted to be there/help you even if he really wanted to just go home. I noticed other tables getting the same treatment which really you don't see often. All I can say is it was awesome to experience good wholesome service so Angel, if you see this, I appreciate the "spider senses" tonight. Even if you happen to experience crap service at least you're in the presence of a freaking build your own bowl!! read more

This place is great! It is a build your own Mongolian BBQ. The meat and veggies were all very fresh, and the selection? AMAZING! The only down side is some people are messy and inconsiderate and make a mess and don't clean up. Please don't be one of those people. The choice of sauces is also excellent. It's then cooked fresh and brought to the table with choice of noodles or rice. What a place! read more

But I will probably never be going back, which is a shame because my food is good, but it's literally missing half of what I ordered in my bowl. They even forgot the rice. Stopped for a late lunch. Our waitress was great...very friendly and attentive! Food was great...EXCEPT...the calamari was rubber band chewy and must not have had the skin removed...the two I tried to eat had a thin, unchewable membrane. Daughter found the same with hers. Since the rings were quite large, I'm guessing it was the skin that became tough when cooked. Everything else was great, the shrimp, seasoned pork and steak was delicious! This review is not at all based on the food, as I didn't even get an opportunity to eat the food. We arrived at 7 PM on a Wednesday night. After waiting by the host tables for 15 minutes with no sign of a host/hostess, we finally tracked a host down and asked for the wait time was. We were told that they had a lot of open tables but were not seating people because they needed to wait for the kitchen to catch up, and had no idea when the kitchen would catch back up. The host would not give an estimate of when we could be seated because they didn't want to receive a bad review. Another couple in the lobby had been waiting for an hour and still had not been given an estimate as to when they would be seated. Needless to say we did not wait around - I couldn't imagine how awful the service would have been if we did. At the time we left, there was at least 5-6 tables open that would have sat most of the people waiting in the lobby. Maybe rethink your business strategy - I'm sure seated people would have been a lot happier than people standing in the lobby for an hour, waiting on being seated when tables are visibly available. read more

This place is just okay if you ask me. I think it is way overpriced for the quality of food you get. I am not big on "buffet" style places so maybe that's why I am not impressed. The key is how you layer your bowl of food! And if you get the refillable bowl, you can try different types and flavors. My favorite chain of Mongolian BBQ. The staff is friendly and attentive and the buffet is clean. I had the flavored lemonade and some spicier than normal food with the noodles. The price is reasonable and I get filled up every time that I go there. For any newbie, use the cards to season your food, till you can make the food to your individual taste. read more

This used to be my one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in Georgia but the 2 I know of closed down a few years ago. I was so excited to see this one while driving around my new city. I was disappointed. Meat quality went down, less veggie options, the sauce I chose was not great(my fault) and they give you very little rice. What was the most frustrating was me telling the cook 4 times that I wanted fried rice and an egg. My meal came out with no egg!!! When I mentioned it to the server she offered to get one but it was too late by then. I will give them another try later. Hopefully it'll be better. read more

Used to love Ghengis Grill but it just hasn't aged well. Dining area is in need of a significant update and now they don't serve alcohol because of some "licensing issue". Very few customers there tonight and while the wait staff was nice enough, it was just a very lackluster experience. Food was ok. With a little TLC and some updating maybe it could be a good choice again but don't think we will be back for a while, if it's still around. read more
