All I gotta say is if you know your pizza, love traditional Chicago thin & well browned pies/with the perfect amount of toppings, then you will love this place. I love the pizza at Geno Nottolini's. It is the best that I have had in Elgin. They have a great deal - it is like $18 for a giant 2 topping 20" pizza, 2 liter and delivery. Their veggies are substantial and delicious. The crust is thick, but not to thick. The sauce has just the right amount of spice. Customer service these days has become so terrible but from the start of the call to the delivery of our food, the whole experience was great. The one taking our order informed us of a special price and made our meal cheaper for a larger amount of food. They were quick with the delivery, the food was bomb, and the delivery driver was kind and polite. The total price was amazingly cheap for such quality food. I wish all restaurants were like this. Food is decent and prices are competitive. There are certainly worse places to eat, but out of the 4 times I've ordered there, they have messed up my order twice. Got pizza with all meats. delivery came earlier than estimated on GrubHub and it was very good. Crust is crisp and perfectly cooked, sauce was good (not too sweet and not bland) toppings were generous and of good quality. overall good though I haven't tried any of their other dishes. read more

6 PM Sunday evening. Went in for my take-out order. Immediately heard several young man in the kitchen area yelling at each other and swearing. Nice! I gave the girl at the counter my name for a pick up order. She called out a pick up number to the people in the kitchen who were still yelling (including one who claimed he was a manager) and they didn't even acknowledge the counter girl or myself the customer! She had to call out the number again and tell them there was a pick up waiting. One of them finally grabbed the bag and tossed it on the counter. When I got home they got the order wrong. We ordered one sausage and one beef sandwich on white bread. Both were on garlic bread. My beef sandwich had NO beef on the last 2 inches of the bun. I've never seen that before. Also my onion rings were cold. I'm all for supporting a small business. But they must make an effort to want to keep my business. It seems like this place has gone downhill. And the owner doesn't seem to It's not what it used to be. I won't be going back there anytime soon. Update. 12-1-15 Tried this place again. Garbage. My sausage tasted like garbage and that's where it went. My Wife's chicken sandwich was so so. More Spanish people there now. They can't seem to get a basic sandwich right. Pizza is o.k. They messed up my order not only once, but twice. When I called to complain about the repeated error, they told me that the item I ordered was not on the menu (not !) and that I was wrong and they would not deliver the correct item. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right" ? When they delivered, the item that was ordered was clearly stated there on the menu stapled to the bag on my order. I ordered pizza and wings for delivery. The food arrived hot and fresh. The wings were OK, just your average wings. I ordered a pizza with Italian beef ,green olives, black olives, and fresh mushrooms. It was cooked perfect with the cheese nice and brown. Was feeling a little lazy on the cooking end today so we decided to order some delivery. The guy on the phone was nice and said our food would be here in around an hour which sounded like a long wait but it was better than cooking! Our food made it at 25 minutes, the guy was polite and also helped to hold the door open so i could get the food in. We got stuffed shells (added mushrooms) and mostacholi, both were very hot still. They packed the food so nicely with cardboard on the bottom and in between each dish, forks, knives, napkins and parmesan cheese. I've ordered food from here many times and truthfully what keeps me coming back is the low prices on pizza and pasta. The taste is good especially for the price and I think on Wednesday they had a buy 1 pasta get 1 free even for delivery which is a great deal. I've had a few sandwiches the Italian beef with peppers and tomatoes was excellent burger was average. Overall this is a good place definitely if you have to feed a family on a budget I do recommend it. read more

We used to order from Geno's at least once a week. The pizza is good and rest of their food good also. Service sucked. They always and i mean every delivery order they forgot something from the meatball to sauces. I put up with this for a while seeing they are close to my house until the last time I called back with my normal complaint, I forgotten sauce, they told me I would have to pay another delivery charge. I couldn't believe my ears. A once a week customer treated this way. So my wife and I went to back to researching other places to order from. We found Rosati's in Streamwood. Used to work here, and man I miss it at times. The food is so good. All the ingredients made from scratch from a good old recipe. Friendly staff, and good vibe. Now don't expect this to be a top of the line restaurant or you will be sorely disappointed. It's a shabby little pizza joint with quality food. Called the next day asked for manager-same employee claimed they were busy at 10AM then after probably looking at the clock and seeing what a stupid excuse that was got the mgr. who claimed he was so busy (of which i was calling from my car parked a couple spots down from the store and i was the only car except 2 others that were in front of another store) that he would have to call me back....and guess what? This is my neighborhood pizza place. The last time I was there it was bad service. I decided to give them another try tonight. And boy was I disappointed. The man behind the counter did not know what a pizza burger was and it was on their menu. He asked the other employees and showing them the menu. Nobody could not figure it out. Five employees, all lost and confused. I said it would be easier if I just ordered a sausage sandwich. That's what I did. The sandwich was $5.99. The red sauce was an additional $.50. The cheese was an additional dollar. It cost me $8.10 for a sausage sandwich that was no longer than 7 inches. What a rip off. Now I know why I haven't been there in a while.
