Well, yesterday was National Pizza Day, and my wife and I can never seem to celebrate those kind of days on the actual day, so we waited a day and decided to give this place a try one day later. We were immediately greeted upon arrival (after figuring out which of the two doors of the restaurant to go through for dining in), and upon sitting down, we were waited on promptly and taken care of frequently throughout our meal. For our first time here, we tried a plain cheese pizza and some garlic bread. Both were excellent, and the pizza worked very well with their side of ranch dressing. The amazing thing to us was that we left here absolutely stuffed for less money than it cost us to have a lackluster lunch at Burger King, so you really absolutely get your money's worth here. I could definitely see this becoming a new regular spot for us, considering there are many other things on the menu that I'd definitely like to try in the future. read more

I ordered a small stromboli, with pepperoni, salami and broccolli, and I asked also for an extra sauce. The pepperoni and salami each were an additional $2.25, and there were a total of 5 slices each inside... Total it came to 20 bucks... I know inflation is high right now, but this I consider rip off. read more

The Philly cheesesteak was solid. Not the greatest but no complaints. Service was fast and refills kept coming. Decor was typical for pizzeria but the music selection could be improved. Happy with this place and would stop by again if I'm in the area. read more

Ugh we spent $45 for a cheeseburger sub, 2 curly fries and a sausage sandwich. WTF! Yeah it's not lobster. The fries were good but the cheeseburger sub was just cheap frozen patties. Yes it's our fault for not looking at a menu prior to ordering but OMG what a scam. I tried to feed the other 1/2 of my sub to a starving cat at the lake but he wasn't interested in eating plastic burgers either. This place used to be good. Now it's a place to avoid. read more

One of my go to local pizza shops in my area. I frequent all the pizza shops and this is my favorite to get pizza and my daugthers favorite to get a spaghetti dinner, which is big enough for her to have for 3 meals. Fresh made bread for the subs is great. All their fried apps are made perfect. Now on the weekends they do get busy so expect to wait but it's worth the wait. Another thing that has kept me coming back is that they give back to the locals. During Covid they offered for any school children to come in and get a free slice of pizza or small pasta dish while the schools were closed. That has stayed with me because I too was at home at the time as my place of work was shut down for 4 months and I never had to worry about my daughter getting a hot lunch at that time. read more

Came in for a business lunch, all items were great, and despite being a pizza/Italian place even our gluten free friend was able to find something they were happy with. Service was quick and server was nice, it wasn't too busy for a Wednesday afternoon. I'll have to come back for the Stromboli next time. I had a salad which was large and fresh. Had ordered an Italian sub for my father and it was never given to me for him. I had called back and arranged that they give him the sub and give him a refund. I am very unhappy that when he arrived they were very upset that he was there asking for his sub. They had no idea that an order was sent out incorrectly or that he was to be given a refund. All of this to get some mediocre pizza and some subs, Better just going somewhere else! read more

I ordered fresh basil and fresh mozzarella to be added for an extra 5.00. Whoever made the pizza put the basil on before the oven and when I picked it up, the basil looked black pieces of charred basil and there was definitely not fresh mozerella added except maybe a few tiny bits of white, hardly even noticeable. I was extremely disappointed as I have always been satisfied with Genova's in the past. No longer a customer. read more

I've lived in Spring Grove for several years now and I was never brave enough to eat at this restaurant but when my daughter came to visit she decided to order delivery from this place. When we grabbed the pizza from the delivery driver it felt like the pizza wore a ton. It was the THICKEST crust I had ever seen. The pizza lacked flavor and it had minimal sauce on it. Even after we requested extra sauce. If you want to take a trip down memory lane and remember what school pizza in the 80's tasted like, this is your place. Cold. Tasteless. Dry. Thick. Btw... make sure you get a few glasses/bottles of water while eating this pizza. You'll need it to wash down the dryness that they call pizza. 0 stars. Highly disappointed. I won't lie the food is delicious. But I called the other day placed the order and then for reasons that are my own which is totally my choice I called back 30 seconds later and canceled my order. Whoever answered the phone asked me what my number was I couldn't recall them giving me a number which I told her but I told her what I ordered she got mad that I couldn't remember the number and then hung up on me. As much as I love the food there their customer service sucks!!! Nothing justifies hanging up on a customer so I will never be going back!!! read more

Their pizza is incomparable! I'm a cheese lover, and they never disappoint, especially if I request extra. Their Stromboli is also excellent. My stomach is a bottomless pit when I'm hungry, and I can still only eat half of their Stromboli in one sitting. This Italian restaurant is AMAZING. Their food is absolutely exquisite, and the prices are so cheap. My go-to order is the Fettuccine Alfredo, which is only about $12, which comes with a salad and a whole loaf of bread (your choice between regular and garlic). Speaking of the bread, I wish I had the recipe because the garlic bread is unlike anything I've ever had. The serving sizes are huge, one order here will last me three days, so you definitely get your money's worth. This is a cute and totally under rated restaurant. Enjoyed our meal here. I ordered veal piccata and asked them to add capers to the dish, which they cheerfully did. My husband ordered seafood primavera. They offer very generous portions for a good price. My order was delicious but needed salt. My husband's order also needed salt and seasoning in general, but was also dry and needed oil. We will be back, but I sincerely want the owners to know not to be afraid of seasonings--it's a chef's signature. read more

I ordered a caprese panini and asked for no roasted peppers on it. Naturally, there were roasted peppers on it... The super-thin slice of mozzarella on the sandwich wasn't even melted. The service I received from Genova's was absolutely disgusting! I placed an order through doordash that ended up being made incorrectly due to some sort of setting error between Genova and Doordash. I called the restaurant to find out why my sub was made incorrectly. I ordered a BLT Sub with extra bacon on a plain sub roll. My sub arrived with no lettuce no tomato no mayo JUST BACON. When I called to complain to Genova they legitimately argued with myself and my mother stating we made the mistake not them and that there was nothing they could do for us. They repeatedly told us we were the ones that made the order. Not once did they apologize for the inconvenience, the mistake, NOTHING! they just continued to argue! I have worked in customer service for 14 years and have never argued with a customer like Genova did with me! Disgust is the only word that comes to my mind when I think of the service I received from this restaurant!! read more

Got seated right away and drinks were there in less than 5 mins...Food was very good and appetizing...Salad was fresh with lots of veggies on it...They had large portions, enough to take home for dinner the next night. This second location of Genova's opened when I was in the third grade and my family has frequented it ever since. In the past several years they expanded to add a seperate counter for takeout. They are the only pizza place in town, but thank goodness they are delicious. The bread they use for subs or serve sliced with dinners is made fresh right there, and might be the best Italian bread I have ever had. Their salad bar still has all the same items it had when the place opened, no trendy stuff here. Chocolate pudding, little cubes of ham. They always have yummy soup, my favorite is the wedding. The chopped chicken stromboli is as good out of the fridge, cold, as it is piping hot and melty. They serve all of the sandwiches with Martin's chips, the greasiest, saltiest, most amazing chips around. They are also extremely inexpensive, including a large variety of cheap beer. read more

I have had many good meals at both the Spring Grove and West York locations. Last night was the first time I was not pleased; the food was great as always, but the service was horrible. Our waiter, Jonathan, appeared at our table only to take the order and bring the food. After we were done eating we waited and waited for him to return and offer a container for the leftovers as is usual, and bring the check. Finally we flagged down the hostess to get a box and a check. When he saw the credit card, he was quick to take process that. Whatever was keeping him in the kitchen all evening, I hope it was worth it, because he got no tip. I'm usually a generous tipper so this is highly unusual. read more

Best pizza, especially their white pizza. Their rolls are delicious as well and I believe they're made in-house. Genova's is our go-to for Friday night pizza night. We've tried other items and ehh, good but not amazing, so we stick to our white pizza with spinach and tomatoes. It's truly the best! read more
