Outstanding service on a huge order. Very polite customer service when we called and picked up the order. They even helped putting all 10 pizzas and 3 sets of wings in our car. Several people at our party commented on the variety and taste of the pizzas and how the taste of the barbecue wings were spectacular. I Here on a Thursday afternoon.the place was pretty busy. You could easily tell that they had a lot of regulars here. Service was relatively quick. They were friendly for the most part . They do have lunch specials. They were not posted anywhere. The soda machine was broken the day I was there. The menu does offer so pasta dinner meals today I ordered a cheese steak sub. It was stuck inside of a homemade roll. Flavor was above average. At least enough I would order it again. Based on my first experience here I would recommend this place. It pains me to write this but the food has changed under new ownership and it's not good at all. I got a chicken parm sub on my 1st visit under the new owner. It was chicken tenders stuffed into a homemade sub roll that wasn't good, little to no sauce and lots of cheese. Just because the bread is made in house doesn't mean it's going to be good. On the second visit we got wings and Pizza. The previous owner made great pizza, so no way they would mess with that recipe right? Wrong. They use cheap ass cheese and it shows. Sauce was bland and ithe crust was doughy. Tasted like pizza from a roller skating rink. I do t understand why you buy a place, that's successful and has a local following and change everything. The owner is super nice and knew who I was after my second order over the phone without me giving a name . The prices were good, especially for the size of the pie, and the pizza was amazing. We had what may go down as the worst customer service this restaurant has ever provided--and we've been coming here for YEARS. When my boyfriend and friend arrived to pick up our order, they at first claimed we never placed an order at the restaurant, then somehow managed to "find it" and then say it was "actually split into two orders"... what? That just doesn't make any sense. We'd prefer you admit you were wrong and make up for your actions (that never happened). Then, when we got home, the order was far from correct. The salad without croutons because someone is allergic to gluten? Croutons ALL OVER. The sub with all the fixings? None to be found. I can't imagine there wasn't some spit laid on it all either, even during COVID. There was a lot of attitude that the employee (Joey, I think? He was pretty unwilling to tell us his name and mumbled it under his breath -- it definitely wasn't the owner, Joe) of the shop gave when this was all happening, and it quickly turned our favorite local pizza joint into the one we avoid at all costs. We called back after the fact to talk to Joey and let him know we were dissatisfied and he, honestly, didn't care and said he was busy and couldn't do anything about it. That's no way to treat your customer! We've LOVED this place for years and I crave their salads on the reg but ... we just can't bring ourselves to give this establishment our money. Seriously--we always want two pizzas, two subs and three salads and instead of calling our old favorite place down the street, drive out of our way to Shrewsbury. read more

It's impossible to have a bad day after eating this food The BEST pizza I've had, hands down! Wayyyyy Better than any other local, or commercial chain pizza available on the market. WORTH the drive! I Always order a Large Sausage Well Done! Yummy to my Tummy! The sausage is fresh, the cheese tastes like Real cheese, and the crust is perfect! When I take a bite of the pizza, my mouth awakens! You can taste the delicate balance of crispiness and chewiness in the dough! I always make sure to get a paper plate to have a few slices on the way home! **As a BONUS, grab an extra pizza because the Pizza re-heats great in the oven. I use the broil setting in the oven on Low, and centered on a rack in the middle of the oven. Lastly, The Pizza Steak Sub is like no other I've ever had before trying GRP's version. The Bread is awesome! It soaks up the appropriate amount of juice, but stays together. The Steak is thin and stacked! They do not chop it up, they leave it sliced, which makes it wayyyy better than all the other cheesesteaks on the market! Then the sub is topped with generous amounts of Homemade pizza sauce, grilled onions that are to die for, Tons of melted cheese, and some Italian spices! Did a quick Google search for a bite to eat after a 20mile ride on the Heritage Rail Trail. The pizzeria was only 5miles away so I drove to this joint with no expectations. The inside of the pizzeria was nothing special but it was clean and it had a good amount of foot traffic so I decided to order. Food was amazing!! I ordered the Philly Chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The bread was definitely the showcase. My buddy ordered the fried shrimp sandwich and loved it as well. I eat pizza because I love good dough. I get toppings to make my dough even more delicious. It is very hard to find a well made dough. They are usually too bready for me. I respect those that like bready dough, I just do not. I have had GRP in the past, and it was okay. but, Saturday night I tried them again and the pizza was fantastic!! The stromboli is really good here but the calzone is where it's at! Absolutely delicious. Sometimes the sauce on the side is a little garlicky for me, but it's still tasty overall. I've come in a little early before to pick up and have seen them making my food to order- you can tell that it's always fresh and delicious. The pizza is also good. We also like the subs- shrimp sub is one of my favorites. I live close so I usually call in and pick up but have eaten in as well on occasion. Where we live in northern Maryland, there is just precious little in the way of good pizza. The two local establishments are "OK" in a pinch, but one is greasy and salty, while the other is kind of doughy and doesn't have that "soul" that is shared by great pizzas. So saying, my search for good pizza, of course, hit the internet and has expanded into southern Pennsylvania because, dammit, I am willing to drive for some great pizza.I read about Glen Rock Pizzeria in a couple online reviews, and it sounded like the real deal, so this afternoon I drove about 35 minutes each way to get a couple pies for the family lunch. I will say right now that it was delicious pizza and worth the drive. The pizzeria itself is tucked away in an unassuming strip of businesses in the charming town of Glen Rock, PA. The owner is a friendly fellow. When the pizza was brought home and consumed, I found the crust to be delightful. It had a nice char, and was crispy and bubbly on the crust, chewy on the inside. The sauce was primo stuff; strong garlic and just a hint of tomato sweetness. There was just enough so the pizza was not too dry nor so wet as to make the crust mushy. The cheese was rich and flavorful, as well as liberally applied. A medium pepperoni and mushroom also was delicious. In conclusion; what can I say? Glen Rock is a small town, relatively off the beaten path, although only about 15-20 minutes from I-83. The drive there takes you through some beautiful rolling farmland and countryside, dotted with charming homes and rustic barns.If you find yourself in the area, this is some genuinely very good pizza, and I would rate it some of the best in this area by far. read more
