This is our 'go- to' pizza place. When I call in an order I usually ask for what I want and add the adjective 'delicious' to my order. Yesterday DH ordered and guess what, our pizza was delicious even without the reminder! Quality cheese, tasty Italian sausage and great sauce on top of a well baked dough which has a very slight sweetness and a great crumb, just as it should. We try other pizzas but we keep coming back to Nino's. You should too! read more

This is my third visit to Nino's. On my first I ordered a Tuscan chicken panini which was good. Then we ordered a cheese pie but it didn't have a crispy crust nor was the cheese melted into the sauce; you could still make out the grated cheese. Their sauce was too sweet for my taste. Now this third time, I'm not sure if it's under new management but the sign has been updated. I ordered jalapeño poppers. I really wanted a chicken Stromboli but it's too big for me to finish so poppers it was. They were crispy not too spicy but again didn't like the sauce to dip. I ordered for delivery tonight and it took 2 hours for my food to be delivered, I tried calling to see if they received my order since I ordered online however each time I got a busy tone. They probably were very busy however, when the food finally did arrive, it was cold to the point I needed to reheat the food! I was disappointed. The delivery lady was nice, and they are short staffed on the website so be aware of that. I want others to see my review and understand it probably is better to do a pick up than delivery. read more

They have terrible service, this place discriminates against customers. The following thing happened to me, I was with two children and the owner scared me with terrible attention, he is a racist! I bought a pasta at pizza hut and took it to the place and bought 4 pieces of pizza and soda there and the owner told me not to eat it there and I told him it was fine but then he continued to be very undesirable and discriminating, my children got quite scared. read more

I ordered a large pizza on 7/9/23 and was told it would be ready for pickup in 15-20 minutes. I arrived 35 minutes later fearing that the pizza would probably be cold because I got delayed in leaving the house to go pick it up. I paid for the pizza and was standing there patiently waiting because I was told it would be a few minutes, which seemed odd. I asked the gentleman at the counter how much longer and he said we're gonna make it now! This is 40 minutes after I placed my order. What irritates me is that they could have informed me before I paid that the pizza isn't made yet, they're running behind, whatever. I tried other pizza places with higher ratings on grubhub in York and bleh. The pizza here at Nino's is pretty good. Still not like east pa pizza but compared to the other places in York this pizza, so far, out of Marinos and Parma, this is the best. Parma, no idea where this pizza came from. Belgium? Germany? It's not Italian. Got like cinnamon in the dough? Weird. Marinos is pretty good but not quite like NY style. It's more like cheesy bread. Very little sauce. Ninos is the best if the three. Still not like marios near lansdale but it's decent. The dough needs something. It seems to be under done? But even if I reheat it the crust doesn't get that crispy doughy balance of the NY dough. The sub is good, cheese gets a bit slimy but I mean that's minor. The wings are primo, check out the wings. Overall parma is a joke, Marinos is a 5 and Ninos is a 7. Not sure if it's because York is in the middle south but we're still PA and equidistant from Philly, Harrisburg and Baltimore, I mean come on people. We placed an order online for delivery and ETA was 25-30 minutes. Waited an hour before calling to check on status and the man wouldn't let me husband finish a sentence and yelled at him that he was not his only customer and that it would on it's way shortly. Waited another 15 minutes and then I went to pick it up. Yes the computer system mistakenly marked my order carryout, but the customer service and rudeness of the owner/manager was just not how I want to be treated. I respectfully asked for my 20% tip I added to be returned and it was after repeating the request 3 times. My husband really liked his spaghetti, but I deserve kindness. I'm Sicilian and grew up with many family members who owned pizza restaurants. Also there was 1 customer in the restaurant and your cook was pacing around with nothing to do, so we weren't your only customer but 2 is not a rush. Remember to be kind. read more

After discovering Woodfire, I never go here anymore. The white slice could draw me back in eventually, but the rest is inconsistent. Got a cheesesteak one night that was only OK. Got a couple cheese slices another night that was thoroughly meh. Still not a BAD place, but Woodfire is worth the extra 15min drive. read more

There are plenty of great pizza places around here that respect their customers and make serving high quality items a top priority. Nino's is NOT that. We have been ordering from Nino's for years & have seen the quality slowly drop. We blamed COVID. We stayed loyal. But 2 days ago we placed an $80 order! It was our last. One of the items, a California cheesesteak, which was always a favorite, ended up in the trash. Unfortunately, the 1st bite I took had a LARGE piece of hard gristle/cartilage in it. Next bite, the same. Dug through it & found more! It so grossed me out I pitched the whole thing. (restaurant was closed). I called the next day to speak with the manager or the owner. I got the owner. When I explained to him what happened, his response was to make excuses as to why there was gristle. Like that was okay. No apologies. No "thank you for being a loyal customer". No "let me send you a gift certificate". Just a lengthy diatribe filled with arrogant excuses that I guess I was supposed to say, "Well, that's okay then!" Apparently one is supposed to expect such thing when "high quality beef" is used. Moral of the story, pick a different pizza place. read more

OK, I have to review this. I did a search for "pizza" in York and this was ranked number 20. Ummm...not on my watch! A friend recommended me to this place when I raved about NY style pizza and how after Genova's, Touch of Italy, and Marcello's there's not really a lot of decent pizza arond here. I am happy to report that about 6 months ago I found this place and would vote this as the BEST pizza in York. I've only been there a few times but will continue to go back. Great fries as well. I ordered the linguine with meatballs in red sauce with chicken noodle and garlic bread. Chicken noodle was lukewarm, extremely bland and carrots were undercooked. Chicken was also green and tasted over cooked. I had to add salt and lots of pepper and it still couldn't save it. Garlic bread was meh. Linguine and meatballs was cooked ok but the sauce was REALLY watery and didn't stick to the noodles. My GF had a slice of pizza and fries. Fries were ok. Came out fresh (like literally the first thing before anything else came out) but not salted at all. The pizza I thought looked good but my GF said there wasn't enough cheese. Great quality pizza! The owner uses quality cheese and sauce. The chicken pesto panini is also great. One caution, if ordering food for pick-up or delivery, don't order fries. They're soggy by the time you get them. That's not a reflection of their timing, just that they put them in the box hot and the condensation from the heat makes them soggy. read more

Our family ordered $45 worth of food today and although the food itself was good the customer service was horrible. Ordered a chicken steak NO cheese. After we picked up the food and got home we realized they put cheese on the chicken steak. I called back in and told them about the mistake. I know it's a common one. I politely said only steak and bread NO cheese. I sent my husband back only to find out they messed up yet again. I called back in again and explained they had messed up again. After a minute the owner got on the line and was extremely rude and said so you're trying to tell me we messed twice. I responded, well yes you did. He then says we have professionals working here. He was basically accusing me of lying that the steak did not actually have cheese on it. So living close by I decided to go in there and show him. I decided to go in myself this time and honestly I wasn't very pleasant especially considering $45 and 3 trips later this is how I was treated. He was extremely rude to me and said well do you just want a refund? I said yes. His exact words were give her the damn $7 so she can get the hell out of here. I actually felt bad for the kid working at the register ,you could tell it was awkward for him. After he gave me the $7 I said to the owner are you serious, this is really how you treat your customers? He screamed at me and said take your money and get the hell out. Just had dinner there and it was awesome. Best French fries- hot and crisp. Hamboat was fresh with gooey melted cheese, fresh veggies and best bread ever. Service was excellent and friendly. I ordered chicken noodle soup and it was Campbells chicken noodle soup strait out the can! He charged me $4.25 for can soup! I also waited over 15 minutes for it. I took it back inside and said if I wanted can soup I would have went to the grocery outlet. He started laughing in my face.
