I loved the dentist Dr Patel but the front staff and dental hygienist were horrible. The front desk clerk came to talk to me about my cleaning. The original quote was $890. I go to the dentist regularly and have no issues with bleeding gums or excessive tarter. They tell me they can remove the laser cleaning and get the cost down to $166but they refuse to do a normal cleaning that is covered by my insurance. They said there is bone loss and I need this deep scale cleaning. I am told this by first the front desk clerk, who I am pretty sure doesn't have a medical degree. She tells my dentist for the last 15 yrs should not have performed those regular cleanings that it is malpractice based on their findings. Again I have no infections, no bleeding gums, or abscesses no excessive tarter buildup. It was insane. I refused their upscale dental cleaning and went to a dentist who did the cleaning. They like my previous dentist did not see any issues with my gums and completed the cleaning without issue. These people are scammers. I will be watching for the dental claim to see if they charge my insurance. I will not be going back there.

During our appointment, a major hygiene failure occurred. The dental assistant put a hairnet over my son's hair, which had product in it, and then immediately attempted to work inside his mouth with those same gloves. While the assistant was polite and receptive when I corrected the cross-contamination risk, Dr. Belivand defensively interjected to challenge me. Once I stated the facts about the hair particles, she went silent, but then immediately retaliated by power-tripping over a "no phone" policy that was perfectly fine on our previous visit. When I requested a transfer to the male dentist at this location, the office chose to protect Dr. Belivand's ego over accommodating a patient. Today they called to cancel our upcoming Thursday appointment under the guise of a delayed flight and tried to push us out of the practice entirely. They would rather deny a child care and fabricate logistical excuses than hold an unprofessional doctor accountable for standard hygiene violations. I am glad they handled it this way because it saves me the trouble of ever returning to this dysfunctional office. Thank God there are several other dental offices in the Katy area that actually respect parents and prioritize basic patient care.

Dr Ho and the hygienist (I wish I remembered her name) eased my concerns and took time to explain to me that it was a very inaccurate diagnosis and why it was. Everyone here was so kind, including the front desk, and shout out to Anthony, who helped me schedule an appointment and provided me with insurance knowledge. The hygienist was very thorough, they cleaned her teeth and polish them. Even I, being her daughter, saw a difference between her teeth before the appointment and after the appointment. I am very impressed with the hygienist at this location. After getting her teeth cleaned, the dentist closed her fillings. My mom was very pleased with the work. She was so thankful that this office was not trying to sell her on things that she did not need to get done. While they did mention her need for a crown, they did not sell her on any ancillary charges or bogus treatments for her teeth. My mom hates going to the dentist. And she doesn't like the dental field because she feels that they're very pushy and the make up charges or work without very much proof. But she was so pleased with this dental office, she couldn't stop stop sharing her experience with me. she's looking forward to her next visit in six months.
