Once I arrived I checked in with the kind office staff and waited approximately 5 minutes to be seen even though I had arrived quite early. During my appointment the dental hygienist was very gentle and communicated well with me to ease my nerves. My dentist was also able to clearly explain why I have jaw problems which was never the case at any of my previous 6+ dentists. Lack of transparency and follow-up on payment information -- I've requested copies of the payment forms I signed eight times (once in person, multiple times by email, phone, and voicemail). Despite this, I've still not received any documentation or clear communication around fees--for orthodontic and dental work. 2. Delayed and dismissive handling of records -- After my initial visit with Dr. To, I waited nearly two weeks for answers to my follow up questions, and then decided to request my dental records so I could transition to a new provider. When I followed up today, I was asked to "be patient and wait a few weeks." This felt dismissive, especially given I am in pain and actively seeking timely care. I needed a crown on a broken tooth urgently, so I went to the new dentist assuming the pricing would be similar to the previous dentist. To my surprise the cost was 33% higher and then when I went to pay, they added a 3% fee to use my credit card without notification. I asked for a porcelain on metal crown, and they first told me they don't do those. After pushing the issue, they then said THEY don't prefer those. Huh, aren't I the customer? After the crown prep I went to pay and that is when I discovered a $250 lab fee that every other dentist includes in the crown price (actual lab cost is ~$75). Irritated with that I pulled out a credit card to pay as I have done for years, and I'm told that there is a 3% fee to use my card. Who carries a check book or $1000 in cash??? It seems like they are more worried about filling their pockets instead of taking care of customers. Go down the street to Highlands Dental. More personal, explain more, and don't gouge the customer.

The deep cleaning took about an hour, but was effective and I have felt confident that a quality job is done. I could say that I would recommend this dentist office.
