The root canal specialist that comes in once a month is great. She's very kind and explains exactly what is going in. As for the staff, I would give them no stars if I could. The men in the back taking your X-rays are ok. The problem are the girls at the front desk. Not sure the name of them but the Mexican looking one with black short hair and always has makeup (not the indian looking one with pimples) has a horrible attitude and does not do well hiding it. They scheduled an appointment for my brother at 9, come the day and my brother goes in, they don't open until 10. Turns out corporate made them start opening at 10 since February. They said they called everyone with an appointment at 9 to reschedule but they happened to miss my brother? The system shows no appointments for him. So they didn't transfer his appointment over when corporate told then to change the hours. VERY messy work. Beth which I believe is the manager was kind and apologized. I would like to say my visit started off good .until I needed clearance for no infections for my future surgery! After I was seen by Dr. Anju Shah.. She cleared me of any infections. But they give me a diagnosis of $2,800 worth of treatment! That I can't do right now I feel that their strong arming me to get the work done now!! Or finance the work it.They lied to Kaiser and said I have an infection, then listed all the work I needed be done. Kaiser's form clearly states there only concern is infections for post surgery. They don't care about deep cleaning or cosmetics! I will be returning tomorrow, for them to correct the form... If not I will be filing a complaint with the Dental Board. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! Horrible customer service, I wish I would've read the reviews before coming here! It seems like Lily or Lilian as I'm reading in other reviews is so rude and condescending. I've had so many questions for her and when I finally can get a hold of her she won't let me speak, she speaks over you practically talking down to you. I spent so much money at this office getting my root canal done and the temp crown fell off the next day. They didn't want to help me put a new temp until I warned the staff for writing a bad review than they fit me in. Stay away from this place! First of all their customer service is awful,the girl who works up front will ignore you while you stand there waiting to be helped while she jokes around with one of the dental assistants. Then they'll mess up on the billing and hit you with a surprise charge,so be sure you keep track of your payment history and how much you owe them if you are making payments for braces. Keep those insurance statements also if insurance is covering some of the amount. read more

My family and I have been coming here for years. We haven't had issues until recently. There's 3 people who work at the front desk Lilly, Jonathan and another hispanic lady who have been very rude to my husband and I since they started having issues with our insurance co, even though they accept our insurance. The dr is ok and has always maintained a professional attitude with us. It's the other 3 I'm having the issue with. The 3 give us attitude whenever we go to our appointments making it clear they don't want us coming back anymore. I'm left with no other choice but to look for another dentist because I don't want mine nor my families health at risk over some disgruntled staff members. Very unprofessional!! My family and I have been to this dentist for the past 3 years since we moved to the area. Every time we go we are told our records and names can't be found in their system. Literally, at every appointment we've ever had we've had to fill out the required paperwork. It's 100% unprofessional of them to lose records so easily, especially for repeat customers. Their specialist is only in once a month so it's hard to get an appointment because of lack of availability. My last visit was for a tooth filling which was the last straw. The dentist wasn't careful at all, accidentally numbed my tongue as well and left the filling loose. I will NOT be going back. read more

Poor, poor customer service. The lady at the front always asks if my insurance has had any changes, but beware, they change theirs often and don't tell you. This is the second time, shame on me for believing it was a fluke the first time. So now I keep getting bills for out of network and they keep re running them with Delta, changing the service date and dentists. Everytime I call I get told that I'm not responsible as it's their error but they won't put it in writing and the billings person is never there. The dentist is good but the office is a little shady. I had been struggling with a filling that was really bothering me for over a year. I couldn't chew anything on that side of my mouth. I continually complained to the "other dentist" and she said it was normal to have sensitivity and there was nothing that could be done. One day it just fell out! The office graciously squeezed me in as an emergency. Dr. McGregor fixed it perfectly!! The very next day I could actually chew on that side and have had no problems since!! Awesome office. I Can't say anything but amazing things about Dr Mcgregor which she is the new current dr for this office... When I came to Gentle Dental Perris for the first time they had a prior dr and I was not happy with her!! So when they called me for an appt my six'ed month check up I told them I wasn't going back, but they mentioned a NEW dr so I decided to give it a second try! It was the best decision that I made I was so pleased and exceeded! The prior Dr had diagnosed an extraction on tooth # 20 she said it was not restorable and recommended a 3 unit bridge or an implant! Both procedures are very expensive! Dr MCGREGOR was able to restore the tooth and place a crown. I am very happy and satisfied with her and the staff. Very friendly and helpful. read more

I have been coming to Gentle Dental for years. I have brought all my family here and I have always thought "Highly" of this business until today. I don't understand why the front office has a rotation of people constantly. . Up until last year they had great staff. Now they have 2 very unprofessional girls working the phones and front desk area. In particular one named Lily. She has been one of the rudest most unpleasant people I've had the displeasure of talking to or even trying to reason with. Not only did she give me attitude and scolded me as if I were a child but she made it a point to be a jerk. I had a few questions and they couldn't answer them or even give me an explanation as to what it was . But when it comes to charging you for services that's when their tone changes . Warning! They aggressively recommended that I get my cavities refilled (mind you nothing was wrong with the filled cavities I had. Other than the fact that they were silver. Which wasn't a problem for me cause it was my back teeth and very small.) They were so rough when filling my cavities that I was traumatized to go back to the dentist. Couple years later after not being able to bare the pain, I finally couldn't handle it anymore and I went back to the dentist. This time I went to a more professional and educated dentist. Turns out, they left water pockets in my cavities which later led to bigger problems. My teeth are now fixed and pain free thanks to my new dentist. This alone Just shows paying more really does matter. You guys, I know sometimes it's not an option because back then it wasn't an option for me either but I'd rather find a better solution then have no teeth. This place is not a place for living humans. I wouldn't even take my dog here. read more

Pros: In the years that we have seen Dr. McGregor, she has never made recommendations for unnecessary work. The technicians have always been kind and effective, and we have had good experiences with the pediatric dentist. We stuck with this practice despite our frustrations with office staff because we trust Dr. McGregor won't recommend unnecessary work. We like the pediatric dentist and the dental assistants. Cons: Office staff is HORRIBLE! Office frequently reschedules appointments last minute; When I explained that I would need to sit in the chair and restrain my daughter for her dental exam with the pediatric dentist, the receptionist told me that would not be necessary, they would just strap her to a board. (The pediatric dentist had me restrain both of my children in the chair for their exams, and stated they did not need further treatments. When my anxious screaming daughters are in the lobby, the receptionists require me to fill out the same paperwork they already have on file for my 6 family members (that I have been filling out multiple times for them), and they require me to fill out this same paperwork listing names, addresses, telephone numbers, and work addresses despite no change in information. The pediatric dentist seems reasonable (he got the girls seen without the paperwork), but the receptionists lack basic logic The lobby has often been playing tv shows which are completely inappropriate for young children to be watching. Dr. McGregor won't do any oral exams without xrays, so my daughters have been prepped for the dentist checking their teeth, and she won't, so I have to reschedule with pediatric dentist who will examine them without xrays The last straw is that the receptionist acted like I was an idiot for trying to get dental care now that I am pregnant. They told me I needed a doctor's note, and the dr. won't do any exam or cleaning without xrays (They do these every six months.) Apparently they are not up to date with the American Dental Association recommendations for dental care in pregnancy. In my previous 36 months of pregnancy (4 kids), I have never had problems with getting seen by a dentist until now. read more

This place is horrible, The dentist is not able to pull an regular molar out. I had to make my appointment for 3 weeks later when another doctor was there. The dentist is scared to death to prescribe meds. My cheek was the size of a golf ball and she gave me a very low dose antibiotic. She would not prescribe my even 3 pain killers but did give me a shot to numb the pain. When I call back later to try and get another shot as I was in severe pain, the very rude receptionist told me that that was a one time courtesy. I sure paid for the courtesy. I had to delay my tooth getting pulled even longer as the antibiotic need not get rid of the infection. Now they have me on a another antibiotic. So I have been in SEVERE pain for 3 weeks. I have even had to call into work because of this dentists incompetence. read more

There staff is excellent, friendly, and willing to work with who ever crosses through the door. I will recommend anyone, now with NEW doctor this is the best dentist. Very rude workers, they do not help at all if anything they try to take the most they can, specially "the manager" Lillian, I was going for my braces (still have them) I am pregnant and wasn't working, and was not able to go in, i was told by them i could call orthobank and stop payments so I did, and now turns out I owe a lot more without even being seen or getting work done, it's frustrating and I am very stressed over this situation. I try to do other payment arrangements with Lillian and simply it's a "NO" all my questions are answered rudely and they don't try to help, I asked if I could talk to my ortho then and again she said I had to tell her exactly what for but at this point I don't even want to deal with her anymore, I've tried to talk to someone else and it's a no from her. I don't know what to do anymore, as I'm almost giving birth and I will want to keep getting my treatment just wish I could go somewhere else and do some sort of payment arrangement and the only help I get from her is "take them out, and still pay the balance." read more

I want to thank Jason from my insurance plan @ Dental Heath Services. I was in tremendous pain with my wisdom tooth. I was told that I had to wait 6 weeks before I could get it removed. After speaking with Jason he got me an emergency override and my Dentist Office @ Gentle Dental got me an appointment the very next day!
