Gentle Dental in Perris California , staff and dentist I chose was a huge mistake. All they care about is money and adding unnecessary dental care. Yet, not the total care you needed at the time. Dentist said let's pull all your upper teeth! What! Are you serious!!They're perfectly fine but one needing dental care. I suppose that would be more money for them! Plus they didn't put through the necessary care I needed that my insurance would definitely cover. The billing person didn't put through from beginning to end the Care I truly needed for this one issue. Even though my insurance company told me they would cover it. They are the worst in dental care. They don't listen to their patients. Nothing was gone over what they were going to do before they summited to my insurance by the billing person. They added things that I was not aware of. I had to call my insurance and find out what they tried to put through. Yet didn't add the right information for the reason I need dental care . You can't get through to the office, when you finally do, they immediately but you on hold for 20 minutes or more. The girl that answers the phone is extremely dismissive, rude and never follows through on what she promises. She doesn't care about the patients that need immediate answers. She promised to call back and update me, same day, she never followed through, so I called back days later, only for her to dismiss me once again, She told me she was going discuss with the doctor, my concerns and she never did. Worst dental care experience I've ever had at this office with Dentist Elizabeth McGregor. I came to this office for a routine check-up and only had 3 cavity fillings done. I wasn't in any pain before my visit. Later that night, after the numbing wore off, I felt pain near the fillings. I figured it was normal and would subside but a few days later, it turned into a painful canker sore or abscess, making it hard to eat. I tried treating it by rinsing with warm salt water on my own. The next day, I woke up with throat swelling, pain when swallowing, and nerve pain down my neck. After a week of worsening pain, I finally called the dentist office for a follow up. The receptionist explained that the fillings might be uneven and the dentist would just need to file it down, which apparently is common. My appointment was at 10am and I sat in the chair til almost 10:40am. When the dentist finally arrived, she quickly checked my mouth, and said she didn't see anything. She insisted that the pain was normal since I had an extraction last week (which I didn't know about) and basically said I should just floss more. I kept explaining my different symptoms, the pain as well as coughing up bloody rubber-like mucous that morning, but she still dismissed me in 3 minutes. I went back to the front desk and asked for a printout of the work done and the name of the dentist. THERE WAS NO EXTRACTION on the list, only fillings. Lily, who i believe does billing, confirmed that there was no record of any extraction. After some back and forth, the dentist (Elizabeth) insisted that there was in fact an extraction and had it added to my insurance bill even though there were no images for the extraction. The dentist didn't even once mention the possibility of the fillings being uneven, and even though Lily typed it in my patient notes for my appointment, the dentist claimed to know nothing about that. I left and went straight to an urgent care where they confirmed that I did in fact have an infection and swelling, and prescribed me antibiotics, pain medicine and did a throat swab for testing. Needless to say I won't be getting anymore work done at this office, and I really hope something is done about the poor medical care happening here. First time they didn't wanna go into their lunch time so I rescheduled and then they it happened again. Like they want me to miss work three times just cause they don't want to go into their lunch time? Mind you I was there early and on time. The amount of dust on the hoses and ground was appalling. I went in for a toothache, which turned out I was in need of a root canal and a crown.I was told to pick up my prescription at my pharmacy, which never happened. I called the after-hours phone number because I was in so much pain. No one returned my call until after the 4th of July. I filed a complaint with my insurance and the health department. read more

I don't recommend this office! I came in and needed a root canal and crown. After the endodontist did the root canal Dr McGregor ground down my tooth to prep for temporary crown. When I left I was in allot of pain as the numbing wore off it increased. The next day, I called and left message that I needed to come in and have it checked. NO RESPONSE.! Called again after the weekend and again after a couple days. Still no response after leaving 3 voicemails I showed up at the office to be seen before another weekend and was seen during her lunch.(I can guess she was annoyed) when she saw me she explained there was extra cement that needed to be removed, as she flossed my tooth into the gum so hard I cried! I haven't cried in dentist chair since I was a kid. "It's not my intention to cause you pain" was her response. IT FELT INTENTIONAL! I waited until after my crown was placed before writing because I didn't want any more issues. I won't be going back or recommending them either! read more

Gentle Dental off Perris I called today trying to reschedule my appointment and this lady named Lilly answered the phone and off the start she was nice and all but once I mentioned that I will be rescheduling she gave me attitude and started mocking me. Which I find completely out of pocket. I could have been inappropriate towards her or even walked in causing a scene but I'm better than all that so I'm leaving this review to let the others know about this Lilly and to hopefully reach her employer cause this type of attitude is not acceptable. My mom came in to see Dr. McGregor on 25 January when she has insurance she know that she needed two crowns replaced and a deep cleaning. They gave her some kind of excuse that she needed to pay. The insurance was not gonna cover it she called the insurance and insurance said that they would cover it then Insurance called the office to try to speak to someone And all they do is put them on hold. Don't give them any information very unprofessional I called and I spoke to someone in the office by the name of Dominga she was very nice and polite. It seemed like she knew who I was as soon as I started talk to her and tell her about my mom she put me on hold. I think she probably wanted to get her story straight before she spoke to me and I told her if we couldn't get this straight that I would drive over there and speak to them this dentist takes advantage of older people. My mom is 77 years old and this is terrible that they take advantage of someone very unprofessional I highly recommend for you not to go here they're not to be trusted and I'm sure everyone in the office just works there and does whatever the boss says because that's the way it goes so this dentist is very unprofessional. read more

The worst experience for my mother..she went in to get upper dentures only (almost 8k dollars) and nearly four months later she still doesn't have a set she's happy with. She still feels pain after the bone graft (done by Elizabeth McGregor) while wearing the dentures. The first set didn't fit well (front teeth were absurdly large), and after complaining they wanted to charge my mom for it in order to get new set. My mom refused and now the second set is still causing her pain. Dr. McGregor is the only dentist, doesn't have anyone else assisting her which is why she is always running late. We don't recommend this dentist. She lacks empathy and seems to use cheap products. Medicare should not accept this doctor (office). read more

I have had a life long fear of going to the dentist; however, I am thrilled to say that I no longer feel that way. I am so thankful for Dr. McGregor. When I moved in the area I was excited that there was a dentist to close to home. Long story short convenience is not always good. Look elsewhere if you want great service and to be treated with respect. They only care about money not the patient. They'll tell you one price and bill you another. I kept getting bills in the mail after I paid in full. I contacted my insurance company and found out I didn't owe anything. I've changed my family over to a new dental group and they're amazing. I don't recommend this office. Terrible service! I was referred to the endodontist by my primary dental office. My insurance company referred me to gentle dental in perris. They sent them the referral and this was enough for gentle dental at first. Then they canceled my appointment twice. They stated the referral needed tooth number and what type of specialist I was to see, but this wasn't enough and they also wanted a referral from primary dental office! They also kept stating they weren't getting the referral from my insurance company, even though the insurance company had it in their system they sent it 3 times. I was finally able to make an appt and got a text to confirm appt days prior. The day of the appt I was told I couldn't be seen because "you didn't answer your phone to confirm the appt so I took you off the schedule" needless to say I was upset at this point. I had been waiting for a month back and forth with them and meanwhile I was still in so much pain. As soon as i left the office I contacted my insurance company and they called gentle dental and the excuse they gave for why they couldn't see me was because the endodontist on the referral no longer was working for them! I took my 5 year old to this dental office and they said she would get a baby root canal and crown, well not only did they did they not complete the root canal, but they didn't put a crown on the tooth, which has caused an abscess, now my daughter has to have the tooth pulled out, but first they have to treat the infection!! Looking for a new dentist is hard, but I have found a great one. The staff and dentist at Gentle Dental were exceptional. I was able to get an appointment right away and didn't have to wait and wait to be seen. They made the process quick and painless. One thing I was happy with was the way they took the X-rays. It was very quick and the instruments they used are pain free. My daughter had to get cavities filled and instead of having to make another appointment they went ahead and fixed her cavities right then even though we just came in for a cleaning and check up! read more

Do not give this dentist your business!!! My 83 year old dad had to have a root canal done on the left side of his mouth two weeks ago. They sent him home with antibiotics. 4 days later he started to get a rash on his face and thought maybe he was allergic. They told him to stop taking them. They did not suggest he come in to have it looked at. The next day we had to take him to the emergency room. He had a raging infection in his face. They kept him in the hospital for two days and sent him home with IV antibiotics foe a week with nurses at the house for a week. The cellulitis infection in his face was so bad the doctors had to consult with the infectious diseases specialist to figure out how to treat it. When I called the dentist office to tell them what happened there was no concern for my dad at all. I asked her if they could help with the bill because my parents now have medical bills to worry about, she got extremely rude, said they talked to my dad daily and asked him to come in ( complete lie), and hung up on me. They have a 'corporate policy' that doesn't allow them to schedule 3 siblings for dental visits. I was looking for a dentist for my family. They even hung me up when I was trying to make an appt. Our family has gone here for many years (+5) but 3 weeks ago, we took my little brother (12) to get his cavities filled. For the following days my brother had extraordinary pain so much so that we rush him to emergency room. Turns out the teeth he had work done got infected. They give him antibiotics, etc. We go back to gental dental and they examine him. They CONFIRM that it was their fault and they have to redo the procedure. Here you are thinking, 'oh, since they messed up they are going to take responsibility and do it for free. NO. They are charging us 380 out of pocket for a mistake they made. Their decision was firm, so we decided to go somewhere else instead since we're gonna pay the money regardless. Think twice before coming here. read more
