All I remember that this was one of three baseball fields in William Land Park. After all these year the baseball field hasn't changed a bit, and I still can't hit the darn ball ! I know that they do charge at certain ones, but this was my first time getting charged five dollars to attend my son's baseball game. Inside they had three beautiful fields. There's like a middle part where there was a snack stand and a few tables. It gets very crowded in that area. I feel like the fields are pretty connected together. I was in fear of getting hit by the ball like every second I was there. I am not joking ! The only seats there are literally behind the plate and the fields are pretty connected to each other. The snack bar menu looked really good. The bathrooms were clean and had enough toilet paper. The parking could be a little rough. I did have to park pretty far away. Overall, I just think it's a little crowded in the fields are really close together and getting hit by the ball is pretty possible here. Not my favorite sports complex..

This park does get really hot during the summer, I've been to an event here and it's most comfortable when it's cooler because there is no shade. In the summer, they host food trucks on the last Friday of the month, which is always a treat. The park has lots of shady areas, two playgrounds (one for bigger kids and a smaller one for toddlers), and a track for walking or running. You'll also find fields for soccer, volleyball, and baseball, plus BBQ areas you can reserve. The neighborhood is safe and very family-friendly. One of the best parts is the public swimming pool that opens during the summer. They charge $3 or $4 per person, which is very reasonable. Just a heads-up--this year, they're only accepting cash at the pool. It would be helpful if they posted a sign in the parking lot to let families know. I've seen a few frustrated parents who had to unload all the kids and gear, only to find out inside that they couldn't pay with card. Despite that hiccup, it's a wonderful park for families and we're grateful to have it nearby!

It was a brisk and very windy day,…read morebut the sun was shining and it was a mild day so it was still a great day for a picnic at the park. The kids had a great time. Tahoe Park is huge. It's between 59th and 61st St going east and west and between 8th and 11th Ave going north and south, and it is almost 18 acres big according to the City's website. There are soccer fields, a baseball diamond, a full basketball court, a smaller but adequate kids playground, 2 actually, one bigger, and one for smaller kids. In the summer time, the swimming pools will be open, so that's a great facility for hot weather fun. There is also a big gazebo with tables and seating on the side closest to where we saw kids playing soccer. We hung out closer to the picnic table area since we were grilling up some burgers and hotdogs, and there were several picnic tables to sit at and plenty of room. Although that area isn't very shaded. Our church reserved the tables, but it wasn't at the gazebo so it was a bit hotter where we were picnicking, but since it was so windy that day, it wasn't hot at all. It was the perfect day for flying kites so the kids did that for quite some time. Super fun for them to try to figure out how to get the kites to catch the wind and keep afloat. There's a set of bathrooms near the playground but I didn't use them so I don't know if they were clean or not. All in all, this is a nice park that I've just never been to, guess I keep frequenting the same ones that are familiar to me, but this is an underrated park and it's in a safe residential area, so it's a great place for a BBQ or a picnic or a party. I'm sure we'll be back.

A tiny breeze flowed through providing the merest relief from the sweltering weather. Picked up today's freebies: a buildable Tower Bridge, an ice cream bar and a Spiderman comic book. Next, got ice and water to survive the heat. Tigers were ahead 4-0 at the top of the 6th inning. That's as long as we could bear the heat It was a fun time. Hope to return for a cool day or nite game! Ticket prices, outrageous, parking fees, super outrageous. *sigh*
