There's a few restrooms available. Always keep in mind in a public park that maybe things won't work properly and it's always a good idea to carry hand sanitizer. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot surrounding this park. I do have to say I've seen the city trucks around so they are definitely tending to the park. The vibe is incredibly family-friendly--blankets, lawn chairs, chalk art, all of it. There's usually a solid mix of food trucks during the spring and summer months, and even when it's busy, it never feels overcrowded. We come here regularly, and that's a big part of why. No chaos, no drama--just good food, space to breathe, and enough room for kids to burn off 94% of their sugar high before bedtime. Strong strategy, honestly. On top of that, they also host movie nights in the park, which are basically the perfect way to end a warm evening. We recently used the Duarte field area for track and field practice with my daughter's school, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. The grass is fairly even, which makes a big difference when kids are running drills, and there's a nice amount of shade around the field. Parking was also easy, which is always a bonus when you're arriving with a group after school. We went on a Monday right after school, and it was pretty quiet when we first arrived. By the time we were leaving around 5:00 PM, the baseball fields around the park were definitely filling up with teams starting their practices, so it's clearly a popular spot for youth sports. One of the things I really like about this area of the park is that there's a running path that loops around the whole park, so it's a great place to run or walk while practices are going on. And because you're right next to the Sacramento Zoo, every once in a while you can actually hear the animals. It's a pretty fun and unexpected little background soundtrack while you're out there. Helpful tip: If you want a quieter experience, earlier in the afternoon is best. By late afternoon the baseball fields start filling up with team practices. Between the open field space, shade, easy parking, and the path around the park, it's a really great place for practices or just getting outside for a run. And the occasional zoo sounds definitely make it memorable.

Watching my son play on this well-maintained field in a massive, one-of-a-kind park is just one of the many reasons why I love Sacramento. There are a number of fields in this complex, so I suppose this review goes for most of them. They all have dugouts and backstops and clearly marked fields with a combination of dirt and grass. I won't say they are the best maintained, but they do the job when it comes to youth sports. Another plus is that most of the area is well-shaded by massive old trees during the summer months. So as a fan, you can enjoy your little person as they enjoy the game and do so from the comfort of bleachers in a nice shaded area.

It has a ton of soccer fields, open fields, baseball fields and space for the family to enjoy the day. Bring a snack, there are no vendors. The restrooms are usually locked but they have porta potty's. During the days or weekend you might see the corn person (amazing) and during soccer games they something have the snack at open! Parking is $5 during games. Free if you don't park in the game area (a small walk) There is plenty of shade! Bring a chair and canopy if you'll be here for a while. It is right next to the river bottoms so if you're here for an event, walk over to take a look! Located next to grocery stores and restaurants. It's a good park for the community athletes to have.

We opted for the $35 wristband, which was well worth it, he got to go on several different rides and hit the big slide multiple times.They had plenty of carnival games, vendors and food trucks. When it came time to grab a bite, my son picked Bubble Hive food truck. He got a waffle cone with vanilla ice cream and chocolate that was so big that we all ended up sharing it. Since it was Mother's Day, the beer garden and live music were a nice touch. They were serving mimosas, so my husband and I both grabbed one, since I was in the mood for something refreshing instead of beer. It was starting to get pretty hot out, so we only stayed for a couple of hours, but it was a fun outing and my son had a great time.

The family-friendly atmosphere really stands out, and the card shop is a huge bonus that the kids absolutely love. It makes the facility feel like more than just a training center -- it feels like a community. We also appreciate that the coaches and owners are locals with strong connections and resources in the area. They truly care about helping kids grow on and off the field. Of course I can teach my daughter the fundamentals of baseball/ softball. But I haven't played sports since high school. Tunnel vision was extremely helpful and the instruction was what my daughter needed. I sometimes am to overbearing and expect more from my daughter. So to have an instructor that is patient with my daughter was important. My daughter never picked up a batt in her life and this was the first time. She did extremely well. I was impressed at quality of instruction Marcus had given to my daughter. It showed by what I witnessed of Marcus and the excitement my daughter had well after we left. Smiles and asking me questions about the game. Tunnel Vision and Marcus, sparked a passion for the sport that I hope will take my daughter beyond college. Thank you Andy and Marcus.
