Grill fire is located right on the first floor of the hotel in arundel mills. Very convenient location especially during Covid and bad winter weather. We were greeted by the hostess who was handling phones, reservations and pick up orders. I was looking for the rest of her arms because I was confused how she made it look so easy. She was very pleasant and patient because I changed my order a few times and her demeanor did not change. We were told our food would be ready in 15 minutes and believe it or not, it actually was. We almost decided to eat our food in the restaurant as it was glass in between each table. Covid measures well taken in my opinion . The food was just ok if I'm being honest. My brunch box had burnt bacon which isn't terrible just not my preference. The eggs were buttery and the potatoes were pretty good. The wings were lacking something and had a bit of an aftertaste. Grill Fire in Hanover, Maryland is a "must go" for Happy Hour! My friends and I stopped in yesterday, 29 Dec around 4 p.m. When we got there it already had a sizeable crowd. Tim the bartender is "the man". He premixes the happy hour drink specials, and they are on point. Unlike other bars where the premixed specials usually taste like Kool-Aid and like they were not made with alcohol. Well at Grill Fire you know they contain alcohol-they are great! The happy hour mixed drinks were strawberry margarita, and black cherry sour. I had the sour and my friends had the margarita. Tim is the mixologist! Wine and beer were also on the happy hour menu. As for happy hour food options: full-size smash burger, chicken tinga tacos, teriyaki, ginger Brussels sprouts, chicken tenders, and chicken spring rolls. GMG never disappoints. Definitely a family style restaurant, but 5 stars on food, drinks, service, ambiance. I decided to swing by here while I waited for my car to charge calls for dessert and wine. Service- Sadie (I hope I spelled that right) was great! She had a fun personality and made a really good recommendation on the bread pudding as a special menu item. She was attentive and overall very sweet. Food - While I only came here this time for dessert, I have been here for dinner and for brunch before. Every single time, everything was amazing. They give some delicious sliced bread with a sweet butter to eat with. We ordered their crab dip and it comes with side chips sprinkled with old bay . I'm not very familiar with the regular menu, so this review will come down to the valentines one. I got a salad and delicious sliced of beets, arugula and pecans. You can add beef, chicken, salmon eo shrimps to eat with it for an additional amount. I met a friend for happy hour here this past Friday. Since I arrived fairly early in the evening, I had no problem getting 2 seats at the bar. The waiter initially was super attentive, but once the bar starting filling up, I felt I had to flag him down for refills and ultimately the check. Otherwise, Grillfire is a nice bar/restaurant that shares some common areas with another bar/restaurant and hotel. The nice decor in the shared lobby extends into Grillfire. They also have lovely bathrooms, which is always a plus! I ordered the house rosé from the happy hour menu and was quite pleased with it, so much so, I ordered 3 total (at $5, that's a steal!). The happy hour food offerings were good, but pretty limited. Nothing green on that menu. I ended up ordering sliced steak from the happy hour menu and a side of sweet potato fries. Both items were delicious and I gobbled them up happily. Overall, very decent experience and I'll most definitely visit this establishment again. read more

However, this place changed my mindset. Their food is delicious and very good quality. We all ordered either the filet and or NY strip. We ordered the steaks from medium well to rare. All steaks were cooked to perfection. We ordered sides such as broccoli, baked potato and sweet potato fries. Be sure to get the fully loaded baked potato with crab. The potato had a hint of old bay seasoning with crab on top. Very delicious. We also ordered flight of beers and wine which were also very good. At the end of your order, they bring out a huge batch of cotton candy which is a fsweet treat to end the meal. On top of that, customer service was excellent. Not sure if they were, but they were very good. Lol. My husband got the ribs. I didn't have any, but he said they were good and tender. The portion size was huge. I got the ribeye sandwich. The steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it (medium rare), and it was tender and easy to bite through. The broccoli that came with it had just the right amount of bite without being too mushy or too hard. I also ordered a side of the truffle Mac and cheese. I think it was probably one of my most favorite things I had that night. My one year old really enjoyed it as well. I got the carrot cake to go, and it was so good! On this visit I had the steak tacos and they were surprisingly awesome. It was probably the best cooked steak I've ever had in tacos, and they use corn tortillas instead of the flour ones which makes a big difference. The old fashioned that I had was decent, but not the greatest. It was strong but not necessarily built well. My homie had the chicken and waffles and the waffles came out cold and on a paper-lined tray that ended up soaking up all of the syrup and tearing; so she was eating paper lawwrd . Luckily the waitress took the waffles back and they replaced the waffles and gave her a syrup-resistant plate . My cousin had two long islands that he said were good. Our waitress was pretty attentive and cool and even hooked up my homie with extra cotton-candy lol (yeah they bring standard-issues cotton candy with your check). I had big hopes for this place.... I truly did. While I understand it was Mother's Day, the busiest restaurant time of the year, I can't even blame the bad bar service on that because by 630pm the restaurant wasn't even that busy. The problem was there was only 1 bartender manning the entire scattered seated large bar all by himself. It took forever to get his attention, then to order drink, to get the drinks, then water, and even the bill. That guy was deep in the weeds! Located in the lower lobby of The Hotel Anne Arundel Preserve one could easily disappear in the madness of the hotel lobby check in and no one would even notice! (Not that I would ever do such a thing!) Perhaps we caught them on a bad day and they were recovering from a Mother's Day rush or something because I've heard good things.
