i used exp realty to list and rent out one of my one bedroom apt in astoria and glad i did as i was able to rent it to a new tenant in less then a week. honest service with fees and rental process and they actually took real pics compared to some places that use bogus models or photoshop. the real estate dude ask me if i had any restrictions and i said no but i prefer to get a tenant who pays rent once a month (we both laughed ).no restrictions, just a background and credit check and one month security. if you are renting , buying , selling , etc, i would recommended exp realty read more

When preparing to move to Astoria last year, George's was near the top of the list on here for "Best Real Estate Agents in Astoria," so I decided to contact him with specs of what I was looking for. This ended up being a GREAT decision. George is very professional and courteous, and he genuinely wants to get you the best apartment and rental rate he possibly can. The first apartment he showed me met my specifications exactly (and he provided round-trip transportation from his office), and as soon as I knew I wanted it he immediately set things in motion. Later that day I was approved and I signed the lease the next morning. The entire process felt very smooth and fast. The NYC rental market is a tough beast to navigate, and George was more than willing to answer all my questions about rent, fees, upkeep, tenants' rights, early lease breaking, and any other minor concerns I had as a first-time renter. I walked away not only with a great apartment, but a much better understanding of how the market works. But it doesn't end there. When it came time to renew my lease, my landlord raised the rent by quite a bit. After informing George of this, he helped me negotiate the new rate down to a much more reasonable number! Finding an apartment in NYC is a really stressful process, however our experience with George was phenomenal, smooth, stress free and pretty quick. We started our search online, we called multiple agents, we saw several apartments but non of them we actually liked, when we finally met George we fell in love with the first apartment he showed us, everything we wanted and asked, the apartment had. He is really professional yet friendly, he cares about his customers and does everything to make the process as painless as possible. George was extremely helpful & accommodating through our renting process. This was the quickest/easiest/most efficient process that I've experienced renting in NYC. After viewing an apartment that we liked, George mentioned there was a similar apartment on the floor up with 2 BATHROOMS. This was/still is unheard of to us for a NYC apartment. When I first moved to NYC over a year ago, it was my first time working with brokers. After going through several of them, I was left with a horrible distaste of NYC brokers. Some tried charging exorbitant broker's fees and acted like they were doing me the biggest favor by offering a "discount" and others were completely unprofessional, lazy, and incompetent. In fact, the broker I ended up getting an apartment through constantly made mistakes, losing the keys, walking into the wrong apartment, saying I'm scared to pay the broker's fee BEFORE I had even signed the lease because it was "too inconvenient" for him to go to the management company in Manattan, etc. I felt lucky to have even gotten an apartment. Working with George was a completely different story. He made my last-minute search for an apartment during the holiday season on crutches with a fractured ankle totally stress-free and pleasant! How is it possible that I only needed to see one apartment? It was perfect and in the exact block I wanted to live in! The only caveat was that the previous tenant was not the cleanest person. The fridge was gross and the countertops had stains. I didn't have to make a big stink about this; all I did was tell George my concerns and he got everything taken care of. He sent pictures of the fridge and mess to the landlord. The landlord agreed to have the apartment cleaned before my move and install a brand new fridge for me. But George truly went above and beyond to make the whole process easy for me. We had to go to Great Neck to sign my lease, and he drove me there AND drove me to work so I could get back as early as possible. He is a pleasant guy to talk to, totally honest, and personable. He follows through and is responsive, even waiting past midnight for me to send him my application materials so that the landlord would be able to look at it first thing in the morning. I hate the idea of paying a broker's fee, but with George, I feel like I actually got my money's worth. I have no regrets working with him, and I can't recommend him highly enough. If I need a broker again in my next apartment search, I will call him up again. read more
