Steak tips with fries and salad

Another great meal of steak tips and a haddock sandwich. The waitress are always so pleasant

    Seafood Platter with Fish Chowder

10/10! Perfect service, so IDK how the food could be better than the service, but it was. Fish chowder with homemade bread, then the mountainous, decadent seafood platter (with breaded shrimp, clams, scallops, white fish (maybe oysters) with fresh tartar sauce, comfort-food-level potato salad, and coleslaw with a clever zing to complement the seafood. Scrubbed clean, pleasant home-kitchen atmosphere, and clearly where the locals go: if you have to wait out front to be seated don't sweat it. If I'm passing through again, this is DEFINITELY my stop.

    Chipped plate

I don't care how good the food is not when it is served on a plate that's chipped. This was a place that was recommended to us since it was our first time visiting the area. I don't think that I want to be back.

I have always loved coming to George's having grown up visiting my Dad's in Meredith. The diner is a staple for most locals or people I know who live in the area, and it is a quick, easy, great place to eat. It's a no BS diner with good, non-expensive food. There's even a tented area where you can sit outside now. Been coming here my whole life and will continue to! Service is good and it's a great time always.

Delish! Buffalo chicken wrap and tendies. Onion rings were the best! Friendly staff and quick bite.

Steak and Eggs! They also have awesome fried seafood at lunch!

The best diner in the Lakes Region. This was the steak and eggs with toast and homefries. We also love the fried whole belly clams and scallops for 23.99! I will add a picture of that when we get it again.

Belgian waffle with a side of hash!

Love everything about this local gem! Don't change a thing!! Service is exceptional! Food quality and quantity is right on! This is a first come, first serve place... so be patient - it's worth the wait.

We had an amazing lunch here at George's. The place is laid back and the wait staff is always friendly and fabulous. Today we had full belly fried clams with baked potato and I had chicken croquettes with butternut squash and baked potato. The croquettes were huge about 4-5" across. The chicken gravy was homemade and not a bit salty. Delicious. If you're in the area don't let this little diner (but much bigger than it looks) slip by. Meals were on the board

Great food...may be the best onion rings I have ever had. Not fancy, but delicious food, good pricing and daily specials.

We were on vacation in NH this weekend and this place was an absolute must go. I got the half stack pancakes with plain chocolate chip, whole wheat blueberry, and their special which was oatmeal granola. All were absolutely amazing. My mom got the buttermilk blueberry and gingerbread walnut- these two are our absolute favorite combos. We also got a side of their homemade wheat toast and home fries. If you go, you must get their home fries because they are arguably the best item on the menu, besides pancakes of course lol. My dad got a ham and cheese omelette, with a choice of 2 or 3 eggs (he got 3), which comes with home fries and toast. I also tried their iced lattes for the first time ever and I'm disappointed I never got it before. I got an iced latte with salted caramel flavor and whip cream which was amazing. Their menu is full of variety and they are so many substitutions and add ons you can make. Different combos of pancake batter and toppings, cheese and onions on home fries, different flavors of toast, etc. All the employees are so friendly too. Every time we've eaten here, the waiter/waitress is always so kind and friendly and attentive. Our waitress today, Lisa, was especially awesome. The food comes out in a decent amount of time too. Beware that they get VERY VERY busy once camping season starts, around Memorial Day weekend and continuing throughout the summer. You could be looking at a wait time of at least 2 hours on a weekend in the summer if you get there after 8 or 9am. They don't take calls for a waitlist, you have to be there to put your name on a list to wait. Since we went early May, we had no wait whatsoever. Please give this place your business, they deserve it and will not disappoint!!!

They have repurposed an old railroad station building that brings a unique charm to your breakfast/lunch. My wife and I both appreciated the overall vibes! We had free range of selecting a table and service was friendly and quick with zero complaints. Like I said they have plenty of common dishes you'd expect like French toast, omelettes, Benedict's and more. Alongside their menu they include weekly specials and these were the dishes that really caught my eye for their uniqueness! During our stop they had Congee (think Chinese rice porridge), Hong Kong Waffle, and lastly Shanghai Omelette. I went with the omelette that had Chinese sausage, carrots, onions with a Chinese bbq sauce and some other finishing touches with a side of rice and wonton instead of toast. Was such a unique dish but tasted phenomenal, glad I got to try it! My wife then went with their Carnitas Omelette with a few substitutions to avoid any heat but was blown away by it. She had never really thought about having carnitas for breakfast but enjoyed every bite. The hollindaise sauce on top was the perfect touch! If you find yourself in this area I highly recommend checking out this spot! I also ordered a side of bacon. For me it was 3 and a half stars. Hubs had pancakes with eggs and sausage. He said the pancakes had no flavor and I tasted them and had to agree. His eggs were fine and sausage ok. So for him it was three stars. We decided to go with 3 total stars on this one because if you're going to call yourself a breakfast place you need to nail the pancakes. Overall not bad and not great. A Must-Stop in New Hampshire!!…read more We were exploring New Hampshire from California and happened to pass by Surfside Burger Bar -- and from the moment we saw it from the outside, we knew it was going to be something special. The outdoor snow globes that u could dine in immediately drew us in, and the inside was warm, cozy, and intimate in the best way. But what truly made our experience unforgettable was Andreea. She was our waitress, bartender, and honestly the heart and soul of the place that day. She was taking care of everything -- serving, cleaning, managing the bar -- basically a one-woman show. Yet despite juggling so much, she made us feel completely welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine attentiveness added something magical to our visit. This meal became a memory we'll carry forever, and so much of that is because of Andreea and the way she brought the whole place to life. We highly, highly recommend Surfside Burger Bar to absolutely everyone -- whether you're a local or just passing through like we were. It's a must-stop, and Andrea is a huge part of what makes it so special.
