Great food, fast friendly service, not a fancy setting. Nice booths. Good sized portions. Many gluten-free options. Freshly made specials.

Wow, just wow. Maybe we were just hungry, but this place was terrific!…read more My daughter is vegan and gluten free, but they had a bowl that she really loved! I had a delicious grilled cheese sandwich, not greasy, that is served with a nice-sized bowl of greens and your choice of dressing. Plus you get a side, chosen from among the day's list - I enjoyed the lemon slaw. Not very lemony, but definitely not bogged down with mayo so I dumped it into my salad! Good freshly made food at decent prices. Totally recommend!

Our food was fantastic! I hadn't had lamb out much in the last year and they did it up super delicious in the pita! Yes! It was so flavorful and juicy. Yum! My husband had the same and agreed. My daughter had the steak wrap and said it was fantastic too. We all had the spicy slaw and thought it was superb. Now, what we didn't like was that as first time guests, we couldn't figure out what to do for a minute or so, as there's nothing immediately pointing you to the 'on wall' menu, which is toward the back of the place, past the cashier. Three of us standing there to look at the menu was blocking others from going out back to the patio to eat (plates and drinks in their hands). It wasn't crowded for a Saturday afternoon but it was still noisy. We cleaned up after ourselves, though we still tipped. I hadn't noticed the bin for dirty dishes on the side counter when I got us silverware and straws. Next time I won't tip. It's quite self serve. Order and pickup from the same counter. I would recommend they work on a customer foot path 'flow.' They could hire a hostess or greeter, or perhaps provide better signage on where to go and what to do, similar to 'Five Guys' restaurants.

Lakeside Famous Roast Beef Pizza & Seafood opened up recently in a former Dunkin Donuts shop (a new…read moreDunkin Donuts is directly across the street). I stopped here recently for dinner takeout on a busy Saturday evening. This order at the counter eatery offers roast beef sandwiches, pizza (by the slice or whole pie), calzones, pasta dinners, hot & cold subs, wraps/pitas, fried seafood (clams, scallops, shrimp, haddock) dinners & rolls, king lobster rolls, salads, New England clam chowder, steak tips, kabobs, chicken fingers & wings, fried appetizers, bagged Frito Lay chips, & Coke products from the cooler. The prices here are reasonable, subs/sandwiches $3.99-$7.00, pasta with bread $4.95-$8.75, dinner plates $7.50-$9.75, and seafood dinners $9.95-$17.95. Coupon specials are also offered on the menu. The food is made to order in the open kitchen area behind the counter. The roast beef is sliced to order. The pan pizzas are baked in the belt oven. There's self serve table seating in the bright dining area. I ordered the Fish & Chips Dinner ($9.95) and a Junior Roast Beef Sandwich ($3.99) for takeout, given a receipt with number, which is called out when the order is ready. My order number was called out in about 10 minutes after ordering and I was given a small bag with my Jr Roast Beef Sandwich and "have a good night." I quickly told the person who gave me my sandwich I also ordered Fish & Chips, which needed another minute to be ready and still being packed. I grabbed some condiments on the counter, but I did have to ask for tartar sauce. The fish & chips dinner was a good portion of battered haddock (2 pieces), shoestring fries, onion rings, and cole slaw. The food was very hot and the batter coating around the haddock came off. The shoestring fries were the very typical French fries, which were deep fried golden and unsalted (thank you!) The battered onion rings were deep fried golden and crisp, coating was coming off. The tartar sauce was very thick with plenty of pickle relish in a mayo mix. The cup of cole slaw was very good and refreshing, crisp chopped cabbage in a creamy and zesty dressing. The Jr Roast Beef Sandwich was okay, which had a good amount of small thin slices rare (very red) roast beef with horseradish (my choice) on a soft toasted bun. I prefer my roast beef medium well. The food I had tasted pretty good and the fish & chips was not too greasy. I would probably return here for lunch or dinner if I'm driving through Laconia. 3.40/5.00 DELIVERY is available.

My wife and I stopped here on the way home from a long trip, to pickup two sandwichs to bring home and eat. I had a medium vegie pocket and my wife had a medium #9 pocket. No drinks or chips. The total was $24.40. Really!? My vegie pocket was totally falling apart. You could not pick it up to eat--I used a fork. My wife said that the meat in her pocket was very tough. We have not eaten at a D'Angelo's in about six years. After last evenings experience, I can be sure that we will never return. This is exactly what happens when private equity takes over a business--it turns to crap. In years past, this chain was one of our favorite for great pocket sandwiches. Not any more. We have three young kids with us and we let them order their own food because it's good practice for them. We had never been to this restaurant before so we needed a minute to figure out our orders. D'Angelo has a phenomenal employee named Shayna (Shay). She was very patient with our kids as they worked their way through their orders. Shay also kept complimenting and encouraging her fellow employees. She would say what a good job the cooks in the back were doing. When there were no customers in line, she'd come out to the dining area and wipe tables and pick up trash. Shay made our first ever visit to this restaurant a very enjoyable one that we will tell others about. She is a great face for the business and is so kind to customers and employees alike. If Shay isn't a manager, she should be. Thank you for an awesome experience. I almost forgot to mention that the food was delicious as well. The order was prepared perfectly and our kids loved it.

We were there for the promise of a fantastic breakfast. The menu is manageable, lots of choices~all pitstop themed~ but not so many that it was a chore to choose. My Son ordered 2eggs over easy, the potatoes (not the deep fried version), bacon, ham, sausage and 2 pancakes. This breakfast seemed to include a toast option, for those who are keeping score. The food was spectacular. Very well done, simply, and with no frills save for a killer playlist that included Bittersweet Symphony. You don't often find yourself sitting at a counter, eating breakfast with special toast and hear The Verve. Worth a mention. The service was crisp, thorough and we did get a lovely smile and thank you as we checked out. But at the end of it all, the food is, or should be the star. And it was.

This unassuming restaurant does, however, punch above its weight when it comes to hospitality and reasonably-priced, enjoyable-enough Mexican-American food. They accommodated our enormous group of around 30 adults and children on short notice, and with grace. Food came out relatively quickly, though not surprisingly, given the size of our group, staggered in waves. Thin tortilla chips and a thin, almost tomato-sauce-like salsa were complimentary at the start of the meal. They weren't our cup of tea, but we appreciated this increasingly rare courtesy, and our subsequent side orders of guacamole were excellent. My Camarones al Mojo de Ajo ($21.95) were appropriately garlicky, the small, well-textured shrimp sautéed with plenty of onions and the tiny bits of garlic you typically get from a jar. Although the portion size wasn't quite as generous as those of my convives, the shrimp were imbued with flavor and overall enjoyable. The dish came with orange-tinged rice (a little hard and dry) and a salad of iceberg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, onions, and cilantro, with a bit more of that excellent guacamole tucked underneath. Some of our friends enjoyed enormous servings of chicken and steak fajitas. Others were less impressed by their burritos, which came drizzled with a Velveeta-like cheese sauce. Unfortunately, steak tacos came with flour tortillas -- not our preference -- but they were generously filled with flavorful (if slightly dry) steak. Cocktails were large and reportedly light on alcohol + sugary. Despite the rather dreary strip mall that El Tequila is tucked into, the inside is festive and cheerful, painted with colorful murals. A bar and large screen TVs line one side, making it an easy place to dine alone should you wish to do so. Would we eat here if the restaurant were in NYC? Probably not. But for a family- and group-friendly, casual restaurant in a NH town, population 7,000, we were more than pleased.
