George's donuts are very good. My favorite is the glazed croissants.Despite being glazed they are not overly sweet. They are nice and light. You can eat these without feeling like you got a sugar rush. And best of all they are really inexpensive. read more

I am lucky enough to live within a stone's throw of Georges, and George's donuts are amazing. They always taste fresh, and there are no 'bad' flavors. Pretty much anything you get you can be sure will be delicious. However, my past few weekend visits have shown a sad lack of options. In fact, my husband went this past Saturday and there were 3 donuts in the case. period. and a line out the door waiting on more to be prepared. Given their popularity, they need to plan ahead and have adequate supplies available for the weekend crowd. I will continue to be a loyal weekday customer, but on weekends, I'll stick with cooking breakfast at home. read more

The donuts I was able to get were good. Don't bother going when they open since there will be nothing available yet. I was told by the counter person that most of the donuts I wanted should be available by 6:30 AM but I was there at 5:00 AM. If you are going to be open at that time at least have a selection of donuts available to buy instead only of four or five varieties. read more

Picked up 6 glazed doughnuts this past week. The doughnuts were fresh, large and tasted amazing! These are my new favorite doughnuts, they are the real thing. Another reviewer described them to a T, "Pillowy Soft" and the icing is the perfect texture not too hard and crunchy but not too wet. I am in a complex love/hate relationship with George's. This place has hands down the best tasting donuts in the Cleveland area, but also the most frustrating and inconsistent service in the world. I live about 15 minutes away, and never know what to expect when I make the drive. Sometimes I'll show up to cases full of delicious donuts and just a few folks in line, other times I'll arrive to a line out the door for a handful of leftovers, with people standing around waiting for more to come out from the back. My wife works the occasional night shift, and once stopped in at 4:30AM when they open, only to be told that they didn't have any donuts available yet and wouldn't for another 30-45 minutes. I've shown up at times ranging from 6AM to 9AM during the week, and it's a roll of the dice every time. I attempted multiple (completely unsuccessful) Saturday trips, and it doesn't seem like anything good is ever left after about 6AM. The line will still be there, apparently some people don't mind waiting around in a donut shop during the wee hours of their Saturday mornings. I have seen other comments here about how rude some of the service is, and this is absolutely true. Much like the availability of their food, service is a roll of the dice. There are some incredibly nice younger folks working the counter, and there are a handful of older ones who seem like they are angry at me for being in the store. I would be remiss not to mention how amazing their product is. Everyone around here seems to love Jack Frost, but George utterly blows them out of the water. Put a George's glazed donut next to one from Jack Frost, and nobody is picking the latter. Every type of donut they make is absolutely top notch; it's almost to our benefit that it's so incredibly difficult to obtain them! If you're willing to throw the dice and wake up at the crack of dawn for a chance at some amazing donuts, George's is the place for you. Nothing is more frustrating than getting up early to drive over there only to go home empty handed though, and that WILL happen to you if you go there on the regular. I have done the drive of shame from George's to Dunkin Donuts on 82 more times than I like to admit, and it's a huge letdown that makes you think twice before trying again. Good luck! read more

I drove from Strongsville to George's in Aurora today and phoned on the way to make sure they would still have donuts when I arrived. After a 45 minute drive I arrived to a locked door and donuts were sold out. Perhaps it would be a good idea to put a donut aside for someone who is driving that far for your donuts. Very disappointing and bad business practice. I will not return to George's or recommend and will continue to tell this story to family and friends. I am not impressed. read more

Consistently light and fluffy. Crispy and sweet in all the right places. Great selection. Get there early for sprinkles.

The donuts were world-class (I got a topped pumpkin cake donut), their coffee was good, the staff was friendly (though they were quite busy at 6 am!) and the prices were low ($1.15 for a donut, $1.45 for a large coffee). I'll be back! read more

Just wanted to update my review. I would go so far as to say these are the best donuts I've ever had. I've tried many different places since then including Royal donuts, Raze and Glaze, and these are still at the top of the list. I've called in a few times to have them reserve a few boxes for me the next day, and they've never let me down. I don't know what they do to make these so delicious, but the thought crosses my mind about getting them several times a week. I try to keep it to once a month because I'm trying to eat healthy. read more

George's doughnuts are by far the best I've ever had. All you need to do is pull into the parking lot and see the mad dash to get into line....when they are out they close so get their early or be ready to wait in line and pray with the others in line that they don't run out. If they do run out....it just not worth going anywhere else. A dozen is a very well spent $9.90. They could easily charge more. I struggle with sharing the area's best kept secret because I don't want to compete with all of you on a Saturday morning. read more

I love their donuts! I personally have never bought them myself as i never make it in time before they close. However my place of employment orders them once a month and they are so tasty! Ok fans it makes no sense but on my way to my doctor in Hudson I stop to get the doughnuts even taking some to my doctor who frowns and then the office consumes them. About the hours yeah people go there at 4:30. I once stood by the door as they flipped the sign that they were all out and I cried. My daughter thought it the funniest thing she saw in a long time. These are hands down the best donuts I've ever had! Absolutely delicious, it's worth getting up at 4am for these. You definitely have to get there early, because they often run out of donuts before their usual closing time of noon. The BEST Donuts around. I typically go on a Saturday, get there early. The glazed donuts are delicious. The jelly donuts are very good as well and full of jelly. This Saturday they were out of glazed so I came back an hour later and was lucky enough to get some. They sell out quick. At the time a fresh tray of chocolate dipped came out as well.
