They have a small lounge area, but the seating is comfortable and there is a tiny fireplace, nice to have on a cold rainy day, I was almost disappointed they finished with the car so quickly! They said that was partly because it was in such good shape that there wasn't a lot to investigate, so very good news. The other thing I noticed was that I was treated with respect and given a rundown of the results. This has not always been my experience as an older female at other places. Picked it up that evening and drive the ten blocks home and it was leaking as bad as it was when I dropped it off. I'm not sure they even checked the work they did. So I drop it back off the next morning and say it's still leaking. They look at it and say it is the water pump (like I told them in the first place) and charged me another 475$ Now if you know about cars these two parts are in the same area requiring them to remove all the same things. I went to Austin's muffler shop and got a quote on my exhaust of 256 dollars.. Honest-1 quote. 510 dollars. They were nice enough to find out that my alternator was shot while I was there. They did charge me 30 bucks for that. The quote I was given to replace it was 437 dollars. I was able to make one phone call to another shop while I was at Honest-1 to a shop I used to go to in North St Paul called Jake's auto. He quoted me 286 bucks over the phone and that's what he charged me when I them replace it. Bottom line. Do your research when your in need of repairs. All shops charge different prices. I'm sure Honest-1 is a good shop but I just couldn't afford to have them do the work.

The staff on the phone were helpful to give me a rough quote of a re-manufacturer starter motor repair + towing the day before. I was notified that my serpentine belt also needed to be replaced - which it really did. Lots of cracks. I was given two prices: one price if I paid in cash or check. The other was a surcharge if I choose to pay in a card. It was same day repair - they towed it at 9am. They called at 10am to give a final quote / needed repair. By 1pm, I was told it was ready for pickup! Their lot is small so my car was waiting for me out on the road. Semi-high traffic area. Overall, I would use these guys again for auto repairs.
