Absolute best pizza around! From the fresh toppings to the handmade dough it can't get any better than this. My personal favorite is the George's Special and let me just say these ladies do not go easy on the toppings as loaded as this pizza is it is even more loaded with flavor! & of course can't forget about their subs again my favorite the meatball. It's been awhile since we were there, we sat down & after a while someone came over and took our order,5-10 minutes go by and another couple come in then in a few more minutes another couple. We still haven't received our appetizer (cheese fries) then they bring one of the others appetizers then the second couples, as I look at our waitress like WTF she comes over & tells us ours is taking a longer because they had to melt cheese. Insulted we got up & walked out with no plans of going back. Sad it used to be a good little independent pizza place. read more

Terrible pizza crust, cheap ingridients..service was fine, but the food was not good.!

The food was great. At least the pizza. We waited an hour and a half for our food. There was one cook and one waitress. It started to get crowded and people who came in after us got served first. When our food finally came, the fries had been served 20 minutes earlier. I will never come on a weekend, but their pizza is still the best ! read more

Had George's delivered this evening after reading some decent reviews. I guess a lot has changed since those reviews. The burnt flavorless pizza wasn't even the worst. The steak and cheese sub was soggy and unseasoned. Very disatisfying and I hope this review prevents others from wasting there money also. read more

First time eating Pizza in Fredricksburg and we were Highly Satisfied with the Pizza and Bacon Cheese Fries.Will DEFINITELY be back !!!!

Awful.. salad was terrible Italian dressing is just a cup of oil with spices but has no flavor. Pizza was gross. Cheese sticks were ok. The waitress did keep our glasses full which was nice. Also it seemed like the other employees kept bossing our waitress around and I went to place an order with the two employees at the front who were doing NOTHING and wouldn't even look at me. They made her come over and take my order. It was so weird. However over all, I would not recommend them. read more

Not the best and certainly not the worst. Kinda not what you want to hear on any particular level, although in certain situations that might be a compliment. I've eaten at some places that act like they don't care. Strap on your feedback Rusty and eat the slop I'm serving up. I've eaten at others and have been blown away by the pride they take in their product. While I hate to act middle of the road, it sorta calls for it here. The pizza isn't New York style and it isn't Chicago style either. It's cooked in a deep pan, so I suppose it's closer to Chicago than New York. With that, I ordered the Italian sausage and mushroom pie. While waiting I took a look around my surroundings and looks as if nothings changed in about 30 years. Paneled walls and linoleum floors. Hey I'm not knockin' the setting, I've eatin pizza out of the box on the metro before. Jealous? Not sure if it's the original owners, but I'm sure if I use my above average Google skills I might be able to find out the answer... but for now, I'll let it go. The pizza arrived to the table fresh from the oven, crisp crust and well made. After applying ample amounts of red pepper, I proceeded to stuff my face till my eyes were dilated. We ordered from here tonight and had it delivered. Thought it was going to be good because of all the positive reviews. We got a small cheese pizza and steak and cheese subs. All of it was flavorless and the portions were small for what it cost. The subs taste like unseasoned steakums and the pizza taste like burnt grease. It was so gross and such a disappointment. Will never order from here again. read more

This is a really great place. It's mom and pop, but some of the food just need more stuff on it. Also sometimes the bread is hard. Other then that if you want great pizzas or sandwiches go here. read more

I am so flabbergasted at all the negative reviews I have read. I'm not sure what those folks ate but my wife and I have ordered their mushroom and onion pizza regularly and its is the best pizza ever. I guess to each his own but I say ignore these folks and try it yourself. I'm glad I have been going here way before Yelp and the Internet. I have been eating George's Pizza since the early 80's. The Greek style crust and fresh toppings are as good as it gets. We now only go every couple of months because we don't live convenient to it. We also usually do take out so I can't speak to the service. The place was originally started by George who when he retired sold it to his waitresses. Place has not skipped a beat and is a local Fredericksburg institution. read more

This place used to have the best pizza in Fredericksburg. Now it's just another dump. Dirty, insdie and out. Very slow and, not rude, but just uncaring service. Their pizze used to be the good hot goey type. Now they are watery, cheap cheese, poor taste. What really turns me off is the overall dirtyness of the place. We won't be back here. read more

you mean was the best!!! i dont know what happened but they use to be great service was great not anymore and if i was anyone who valued there money , there time and actually want a meal to eat do not go to georges anymore ayyolute no to delivery where even if you only live 5 minaway they make you order a min of $20 and several times we got either burnt pizza and subs or soggy subs or missing items and no we did not complain so they kept getting my 35 dollars a pop atleast 1 or twice a week or every other sometimes and then they forgot a sub nd barely wanted to correct that i said well if you dont want to bring it just put the money back on my card well needless to say greedy little georges didnt want to give up that 6.50 so they sent it but helllllo it was your fault i lost in the end having to wait a whole 2 and half hours to eat well then the last time that was it when they really screwed up messed up the pizza forgot the sub again my kids were starving and the manager had the nerve to say it was my fault talked very rude and nasty to a great paying customer yeah i have been one since the day they were georges and she had the nerve to hang up on me instead of correct your mistake but i am not the loser this time baby because i have found a pizza place just as good and there getting that wopping 75 buts a week they actually want to keep the money coming and a business in this economy willing to throw that away over a measily 10 dollars on one measily day no wonder so many of them go out of business so unless your going in so you can fix if they will right there don't bother not worth waiting for and hey georges why did you start delivering in the first place??? yours truly cheap lesson read more
