when it comes down to it Georges is probably one of the most well known and well liked restaurant in Pascoag. It is open late, the staff is friendly, and the meat lovers pizza is hands down the BEST I personally have ever had. the only issue that i find is the timing. it takes quite a while to get the food, but it is never cold, old, or bad in any way. just expect another 10-20 mins on the time they give you. other than that, i would recommend this place to anyone that asks. read more

When you're stuck in the town of Pascoag, food options are limited. Since there is no other choice, go to George's. I can't call the food good... actually its crap (sorry, Pascoag townies). If I didn't work in this area, I wouldn't eat it if not for desperation. I've had enough on the menu to know that they must carry an endless supply of grease. They're one of those restaurants where you know you're going to feel sick after. Occasionally, I order a salad to stay alive. The salads are very basic; iceberg, tomatoes, onions. Their house vinaigrette is a little too acidic for my taste. My tongue always feels like its been cut raw after. The service isn't much better. The place looks like it's run by a bunch of kids. They can be very rude and standoffish. And don't ever go by their time expectancy. I always end up waiting at least another 10-15 minutes extra for pick up and delivery is even worse. You'll starve before it gets there. Long story short, George's is like someone's slutty sister. Eat there only if you're desperate and ready to hate yourself after. read more

Im not usually one to complain but i felt this needed to be shared! We ordered from there two nights ago, they quoted us 1 hour for delivery. It ended up beIng about 1 hour and 40 minutes. When the delivery driver arrived, they forgot half of our order and the food we did get was cold! The food that was forgotten was for our kids, which by the time it came it was past their bedtime and we couldn't eat all together. The driver called George's to let them know half of our order was missing and they said they are sending their other driver out right away and would be about 10 mins. 20 minutes passed, so I called to check on the rest of the order and they told me the driver was just leaving and he showed up after 30 minutes instead of 10 and ended up being the same driver. I told them how frustrated I was about the situation and she spoke with her manager and were giving me a $48 credit for next time. I asked how they keep track of credits and they just asked for my name and address and posted it on a board. So fast forward to tonight, TWO days after the bad experience, I called to use our credit. They couldnt find any record of it, however the girl on the phone says although she wasn't the one I dealt with, she remembered the situation and just had to run it by her boss but it should be ok. She took my order and then I received a phone call 10 minutes later saying that her boss said he only agreed to a 50% credit, which was completely incorrect and NOT what I was told. George's needs to get their stuff together. The food is not great, but the service is even worse!! I will never give that place another dime! read more

I have nothing bad to say about the food. The pizza is amazing and the drinks are strong. Not to mention a good beer selection. The bartenders are also very personable. You will have to wait for your food but when it comes out you will enjoy it. read more

Good food for great prices!! I used to go to George's all the time. Today I had dinner here for the first time in 4 years. I ordered my usual Eggplant grinder with no cheese and my parents ordered two small pizzas to share. The pizza was very good. Nothing crazy amazing. Just good, normal pizza. Unfortunately, there were a few issues we had with our visit. Our table was very sticky, dirty, and there were pieces of food even stuck in our menus. Our waitress spilled some water on our table as she served us our drinks, but she was very apologetic and super nice so we didn't think much of it. What bothered my parents the most was how long it took for our food to come out. We were waiting for quite some time when the pizzas finally came out...but I had to wait another 10-15 minutes for my grinder. We couldn't understand why there was a hold up...but I nailed it down to 2 factors: 1) The calls for takeout were CRAZY. Our waitress and the other staff were constantly on the phones taking orders and I watched at least 10 people come in to pick up their takeout orders in the time we were at the restaurant. The staff handled the pressure extremely well considering our food came out a little later than we would've liked. 2) Unfortunately, I could clearly taste that my eggplant was frozen and instantly concluded that they must've had to thaw it out for a while in order to put in my grinder. I'm assuming the thawing had something to do with the delay in getting our food. The eggplant pieces looked like they were cut eons ago and the consistency was pretty tough, to say the least. There were also random, dark brown mystery-bits of clumped up food from the deep frier mixed in with the eggplant that looked very unpleasant. With that said, the roasted peppers on the grinder were the best I think I've ever eaten and the overall grinder was FAR less greasy than it used to be 4 years ago. Had our food gotten to our table in a timely manner and had everything been a bit cleaner overall, I would've given this restaurant 4 stars easily. read more

The food is decent but you should pre-dose with pepto, it'll come back to you. Takes a while to get your order so you may want to call it in even if you plan in eating at the restaurant. It's not what you would call a classy joint,more like some place with local umm, "Characters" hanging out occasionally inebriated. If you plan on bringing your family, stay away from the bar side. You'll be doing them a favor. Also, don't look to closely in the corners, sometimes you're better off not knowing. read more

my wife and I would pop in on Friday nights.We would have a couple drafts and order the same fish n chips and a small mushroom /onion pizza to go.well the pizza came out first and I could smell green pepper from the box.Thank god I opened it it was green pepper which im allergic to.the bartender took it back to have them make a NEW one.Nope they pulled what peppers they could get off and put my toppings on with a little more chees to hide what they had done.Reheated in oven then served it to us .I noticed kitchen staff popping their heads out from the kitchen to see who made the complaint.you cant get the pepper flavor out of a pizza.they tried to pull one over on us.That was the last time we went.Its been a few months now , read more
