Crispy Cajun Catfish and Chips, Craft Cocktails and Wedge Salad.
    Judith D.

A delicious lunch amid the pines today at the Georgetown Distillery and Restaurant. The crispy Cajun-style catfish with homemade chips and house-made gin tartar sauce was outstanding...the best tartar sauce I've tasted. The balsamic bleu-cheese wedge salad was unbelievably delicious and more than enough for two. We complemented our meal with the distillery's Passion-fruit Vodka Sour and Bloody Mary with pickle-infused vodka. The food and spirits here are perfect, as is GM Tanya, who always treats us like royalty!

    Flight of drinks

Visited this place while driving around and exploring NoCal and glad we did. The place has a very friendly staff with good drinks and cool spirts like pickle infused vodka and pineapple infused gin. The place and ambience was very nice and had a local hometown bar feel to it. If you are in the area or driving by, this is a very cool little place to stop and grab a bite or a drink or both. Very cool place to visit with a great staff and good drinks

The hubby had stopped here several times on his motorcycle and wanted to take me for Mother's Day. The drinks were AMAZING, the staff was so friendly, and the local customers were fun to hang out with. I am only sad we had already eaten... I guess it's an excuse to go back!

Crispy chicken strip sammich with home sliced chips and a wedge salad
    Eric S.

This was a pretty neat little place. I don't drink and can't comment on the quality of drinks, but I eat. The sammich wasn't spectacular, however it was not bad. A run of the mill chicken strip sammich with Frank's on a brioche bun. They didn't mess it up. The chips are home sliced and prepared and were very good!! The wedge salad was pretty good, I'm certain it was whatever was in the dressing. But wedge salads typically don't impress me much... We sat outside and it was a very nicely covered patio. Service was good as well and friendly. If you're going for the food I'm sure there are better options. I suspect as their name indicates, they're a much better distillery than a restaurant.

Let me tell you the food and the drinks are the best in Sacramento. If you are looking for a steak, seek elsewhere. This place is a God Sent. Briant AKA. baller from the hill

Well worth the detour into the hills for this place! We've come here several times now, and the only complaint is that they've already outgrown their location in popularity. More seating is definitely needed. But, beyond that their cocktails are top notch and i personally love getting the flight each time

We came in and sat down right away took a few minutes for the staff to notice us and check on us/ bring us water. After about 15 minutes we got to order. I got the crispy chicken sandwich with the homemade potato chips (15.75). My husband got the daily special, the clam chowder bowl (14). It took a solid 45 minutes for our food to come out. The chicken was decent and the chips were good. My husband said the clam chowder was incredibly salty and lacked many actual clams. Though the restaurant had plenty of patrons, the menu is fairly small and straight forward, it seemed like everyone in the whole restaurant received food at different times than who they were sitting with. They only had 3 domestic beers. We didn't order any whiskey so we cannot judge that at all, but others around us seemed to enjoy the drinks.

Their hospitality was next-level -- warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to share their craft. You could feel the pride they have in what they do, and it shows in every detail of the experience. The signature cocktails? Outstanding. Thoughtfully crafted, perfectly balanced, and easily some of the best cocktails we've had in the area. The only downside of the visit was being limited to just one drink thanks to California law -- a true tragedy when everything on the menu looks (and tastes) that good. We left already planning our return and cannot wait to be back for another round (or two... legally, of course ). If you're anywhere near Arnold, Hinterhaus Distillery is a must-stop -- incredible spirits, phenomenal cocktails, and hospitality that sets the bar very high. Cheers!

We always leave with a few bottles. Plan accordingly, kiddos (actually anyone under 21) need to stay home, which is pretty understandable. This place has been on the rise since day one, I can't wait to see what's in store next!

The cornbread is great, make sure to order it when you sit down as it takes a few minutes to come out. My husband and I shared the shishito peppers, which were fresh, spicy, and yummy! I then had the pasta dish, which was delicious! The sauce was rich, and I loved the noodles and chunks of steak in it. My husband loved his steak plate and the sides that came with it. Great drinks too! My husband stuck with dirty martinis and red wine. I had a lemon drop (so yummy), a strawberry fields from their menu (also yummy!), and a small mini cocktail of what I believe was a lemon meringue cocktail! When my buddy and his wife came into town for his birthday, it felt like the perfect excuse to finally make the trip. Spoiler: it did not disappoint. We arrived just after opening at 2pm and were immediately struck by the building -- it's genuinely beautiful, the kind of space that sets the tone before you've even had a drink. We were greeted by Ryan, who was professional, warm, and clearly passionate about what he does. The tour itself was one of the best I've been on. Ryan packed it with information -- not just about the distillery's process, but about the history of Minden and the Gardnerville area. It was engaging, educational, and genuinely fun. I walked away with stories and facts I'm still repeating to anyone who will listen. Our tasting covered four pours: vodka, single barrel, bourbon, and the Goodnight Bourbon. The regular bourbon lived up to everything that put this distillery on my map in the first place. But the real surprise of the day? The gin. I'll be honest -- I wasn't expecting much. But this gin is unlike anything I've tasted. It has earned a permanent spot in my home bar for those occasional gin martini nights. And if you have any love for espresso martinis, do yourself a favor and pick up a bottle of their coffee liqueur. It's exceptional. After the tasting, our group headed upstairs to the bar -- which, by the way, is open to everyone, no tour required. We ordered an espresso martini, a gin martini, and a meringue-tini. Each one was distinct and impressive in its own right. The bar staff couldn't have been better -- they had a real knack for highlighting each spirit in a way that spoke directly to your taste buds. It was the perfect way to close out the afternoon. Minden Mill is the kind of place that checks every box: great craft spirits, a stunning venue, an informative and entertaining tour, and a bar that keeps the good times going. Highly recommend making the trip. And when you go -- ask for Ryan.

Shedcat was found, yep, in the shed Hannah was our waitress. It appeared to be a quiet day as when we walked in, we were the only patrons.
