    Garlic parmesan frys
    William D.

What a great place ,beer, ghosts, burgers, frys. We sat outside with the pup & enjoyed the following under a tree filled patio area (live music on the weekend) Fire Starter burge:r Rinded jalapeños, bacon, sauted onions, on a oil topped brioche bun are u kidding me? Effing deviously delicious and sinful, well worth the $10. Garlic, parmesan frys, as advertised, yummy..Bad Garlic breath afterwards, glad we all eat them. Also delicious. Cali frys, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, 1000 island dressing..whoa gnarly & also sinful. Great service & a funky cool place.

My sister and I and her grand daughter came to Georgetown to visit our folks, (Longtime Georgetown Residents) at Georgia Slide Cemetery where they currently reside. We decided to have lunch first so we stopped at the famous Hotel and Saloon. Since we are still a little "Gun Shy" about dining inside, and masks are optional, we opted for the patio area. What a great space! Open, shaded or sun, whatever your preference. Our server Kat was very sweet, attentive and professional! She also took most pics with this post! Sister and I started with double Bloody Mary's. These things had so much garnish...Bacon Too.... they were a meal in itself. I had the Burger Sliders..YUMM, sister the BLT and niece Beer Battered Chicken Tenders to die for! The fries were so good too. The bonus? All this for under $50.00!! What??? I swear to you go check it out folks!

    Bar area.

So much to see and decor ranges from frogs, dogs and sea creatures and yet it works. Located in the low mountain area of Colfax and a bit off HWY 80 so there are more locals then travelers and I think that's the way they like it. They keep the food simple burgers and pizza - that's it. For drinks full bar and they pour a good strong drink. For those who like that sort of drink will find this the kind of drink they like. Main drink I saw being poured was Peach schnapps, Crown and Redbull. Now for the food, we ordered the large combination pizza. It was better than expected and we only got through half of it and took the other half home for lunch the next day. By the way the the bathrooms are sparkling clean and very unique. The tile work is amazing, true art. Would tell you more but come and find out for yourself. Parkings a snap and the views here are spectacular!

May be eight or so people sitting at bar. They have three bars. Two inside (very dark) and one outside on deck overlooking Cape Horn and Americcan River. We were the onlookers peopele ordering food. We both order cheeseburger and a fry to share. The fries were crispy and hot. Burger was undercooked and bun was soggy by the time i was able to eat 1/3 of it. I can tell this is a place everyone comes for the drinks only. I wish i could give it better a better review but just such a dissapointment. I love the facelift they gave their exterior a few years back but would reallly love to see the inside scrubed clean and updated. outside seating as well. well we've been but their will be no need for a return visit.....

We were headed to a place I was familiar with and while going down Main Street saw Burning Barrel. I quickly hoped on their website and rattled off a few items and we pulled into the closest parking lot and made our way over. The restaurant was empty of guests and the young man at the counter was welcoming, asking if this was our first visit, and showed us the food and drink menu and the board of current craft beers. I chose the Longhorn (tri tip) sandwich and fries and a Lillikoi Mai Tai, and the spouse chose the Pastrami Sandwich and a beer called Dank. They do not do table service so after ordering we grabbed a seat. This is a pretty large open space with an outdoor patio, several roll up doors and misters at the outside. Shortly after sitting down a server came over with our meals. I started with a french fry, and I have to say these are the best french fries I have ever had, in my life time. I don't know if its the way they cut the fries, the way they are seasoned, what they are fried in or all of the above, but they were delicious! Our sandwiches were outstanding! Both were incredibly flavorful and filling, and even after I was full I continued eating because everything tasted SO GOOD. The drinks were excellent too, so good that we ordered a second round. The young man at the counter also made my mai tai and did an excellent job. About halfway into our meal other guests started to arrive and by the time we left there were at least 4-5 parties of guests in the restaurant. I will absolutely return, and highly recommend Burning Barrel. I was also pleased to see that they have a Rancho Cordova location, which is a little closer to my home in the Valley. Thank you Burning Barrel for the excellent food, drinks and customer service! You made our great day even better!

As for food: the fries are cooked perfectly, and the pretzel, is a good pretzel. The cheese sauce is trash. It is so bland and even grainy, there was no point consuming it. The mustard was much better. Now the important part for safety: All the napkins and utensils are inside. They bring the food to your table but you are expected to get those other things. I was here alone and did not plan ahead. I did not feel safe leaving my drink and food alone outside, so I could go inside to get a napkin. So I will probably try this place again but there are some issues.

First, we loved this place when it was the original owners. It was always a 10/10 experience. However, since the new owners took over, it really has been a disappointing experience each time; we keep going back hopeful, but I think we've hit our limit. The positives: the menu is creative and has expanded, a great outdoor seating area with fun events throughout the week, and one of the employees (younger tall guy) is super helpful and friendly. The negatives: lacking attention to detail, customer awareness and warmth, and longer than normal wait times. Our last visit, we walked in and were hardly greeted though being the only ones there. We ordered appetizers and drinks. We finished our drinks well before our food came out, 45 minutes later. It took so long we went in to check to make sure they hadn't forgotten. The table next to us was also extremely perturbed because their food took 45+ minutes, for it not being busy. One of the guests asked why the hold up on food and the response was: "well it's Thursday after being closed for 3 days and we weren't as prepped as we thought; that's what happens in restaurants. You can take it to go." I also ordered their Macho Salad, which came without any dressing. Just lettuce and a few toppings. It's disappointing to spend a decent amount of money to have pretty poor experiences. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.
