Espresso martini that was pretty weak

This is a fun bar to visit if you are in the area and want to experience some live music. However, don't come here looking for tasty cocktails or decent bar food. It was also really hard to get the bartender's attention even though we were sitting at the bar. Also note that the bar tags an extra 10% coverage charge during the night when the performance is on. As we had just attended a dueling piano brunch in NYC a week prior to being here, we were disappointed with the quality. It was pretty great for Georgetown standards (given it is a college town after all), but it was no match for the professionals in Manhattan.

The Georgetown piano bar is a wonderful spot to go to with friends. You can choose from a large selection of lists, broken up by decade and submit a request for a few dollars. This a great place to sing a long at the top of your lungs and enjoy the ambiance. My friends and I enjoyed a classic DMV favorite, an orange crush! Service was friendly and fast, with two different bars. I would 100% come back!

Small little bar located off of M street. I came by here with a friend to grab a quick bite on a Sunday. We arrived during opening so no one was on the piano and the place was pretty empty. Bar service was timely and efficient. Drinks specials were as expected. The food we ordered was okay, enough to have to snack on but the quality was average at best. Overall, I think it picks up and has a better environment at night, but the food was below average and the setting did not stand out given the other options in Georgetown.

Mr Ken is the most hospitable manager I have ever met. Such a lively place with lots of good positive vibes. Feels like Home.

I think they take reservations but we were able to grab a bar spot. Are drinks pricey? What do you think? It's a cocktail bar in DC. The drinks we tried were pretty tasty, even the mezcal one which I thought was a refreshing take. The wall shows some of the drinks on the menu and the ingredients/glass it comes in which I thought was a nice touch. Bartenders were friendly but not too chatty as they were super busy but you never waited long for a drink. The bourbon drink with the whipped honey was our favorite but the gin drink that was pink was also fantastic. For food I did try the buffalo chicken dip, pretty large and tasty (not too spicy) and loved the super crisp celery and the fritos. Clean, trendy bathrooms, nice vibes throughout the whole spot for pictures, great for a night cap or pre-dinner drink.

It tasted like a rainbow--just bright and with a really delicious after taste. I should have stopped at the rose but after my trying my friend's, i had to have one! We initially came for happy hour, but moved to the cocktail menu. The hh was a bit limited, but the drinks were priced overall pretty reasonably for the area. My one complaint is the wine glasses were so teeny. Overall though, I would recommend this bar. Bonus: cheese balls when you sit down! I believe there is also a limited food menu (think nachos) for the after work or late night crowd.

The food and drink here are both excellent and absolutely worth coming for. They serve up great, high-quality cocktails, and I also ordered the cheeseburger, which was really juicy and beautifully cooked. The space itself is famous for having political caricature artwork all over the restaurant, and they even give you fun caricature coasters that you can take home with you as a souvenir. Because it's a popular underground spot, it can definitely get incredibly busy and cramped in there. I've been multiple times, and almost every single time it is tough to find a spot to sit. However, I did come once during an off-peak time, right in the middle of the week around 1:00 PM for lunch--and it wasn't to busy, so we were easily able to just sit right at the bar.  I would definitely recommend checking this place out! While the tight crowds can make it a bit tough on a busy week day or weekend night, it is completely worth experiencing at least once for the great drinks, good food, and unique atmosphere.

For planning purposes, you are within walking distance to Freedom Plaza, Lafayette Park, and a direct path to the Washington Monument. The food here is very good, but what you're paying for is the rich history of the establishment and great customer service. Our server, Peter, was very knowledgeable of the restaurant history and menu, friendly, and engaged us in organic conversation. The management team was also very friendly and engaging. Some of the best customer service you can experience in DC. The recipes and menu options are simple, but the execution is what makes this place an easy return for diners. They are known for their seafood here, oysters in particular, with a solid selection of staples. The biggest value is perhaps lunch as there are a few options around $20 that are filling and delicious; beating similar pricing for lunch at other places, but at a lesser value. The interior is characteristic of 20th century American midwest saloon. A lot of Victorian decor with mahogany wood throughout. Much of the character of the restaurant is built on this idea. The restaurant group has done a good job of preserving what seems to be original interior and exterior design from the previous occupant, the B. F. Keith's Theater. There's a downstairs which has space for private dining, and there are multiple bars indoors, an atrium, and lounge all which the latter are operated by Old Ebbitt Grill. Overall, a very good experience for good good and a history lesson.

The food was incredible...I genuinely loved every single bite. Just be prepared: the Sichuan spice is no joke! If you aren't expecting it, it'll definitely sneak up on you (in the best way). Inside had small tables and a kinda casual cocktail bar vibe Beef Noodles - the highlight and actually very good! The noodles are long and handmade and chewy. They hold onto the sauce very well! The sauce has a slight kick and is very savory. The beef is soft and also flavorful! I feel the price for the portion is kinda expensive though 8/10 Chili wontons - skin is silky and soft, sauce is savory with a small kick as well! Even though the sauces look similar to beef noodle they taste very different. The fillings had good flavor and overall were good but were a bit tougher and dryer than I would prefer. 6/10 Crab fried rice - crab is slightly overcooked but naturally sweet. It has a light curry taste throughout and was pretty good but didn't really stand out 5.5/10 Mapo tofu - slight kick and nice savory taste in the sauce! However I think they cut the tofu pieces way too large or the tofu they chose had way too much tofu flavor that overpowers the sauce. I'd prefer a very light silky tofu but this was a soft tofu. 6/10 Vpod - at first it just tasted like orange juice but then the other flavors peek through on the after taste and when I mixed it more. Even though it was good, it still felt very basic 5/10 Philadelphia Scotsman - it's pretty ginger forward. Technically the level of ginger spice is fine but strong but then the rest of the drink got completely overpowered and so this just wasn't that great 2.5/10
