My PCM will not prescribe some of the medications that I have used for years! I had to take migraine medicine that had been expired for 4 years the last time I had a migraine. There are many other issues that would take allot of time to discuss, but I would foremost like to warn everyone that BSW's employee time is much more important than your time.

It's incredibly frustrating and completely defeats the purpose of planning ahead. Even when you do manage to make it to an appointment, be prepared to sit in their waiting room for 20+ minutes surrounded by people on their phones on speaker, with no staff attempting to create a comfortable or professional environment. The final straw for me was during my annual physical. I asked a straightforward question about HRT, and my doctor actually snapped at me, saying: "I don't do well woman appointments." Completely unprofessional and genuinely shocking to hear from someone who is supposed to be providing care. This place is disorganized, dismissive, and absolutely not worth the stress. I'll be taking my healthcare elsewhere.

All that was done was a big glop of glue was put on my laceration and I was sent on my way. No X-rays or nothing. Let's also say that the tech that did my intake needs more training on how to properly clean a laceration. He poured the medicated liquid on my finger then immediately rinsed it with water and wiped it all away. When he left the room, I was still pulling gauze out of my wound from where I packed it at work. I do this for a living, so I know he was rushing putting my health at risk. Needless to say, I woke up the next morning with continuous bleeding, infected drainage and the inability to feel anything on that finger. I was rushed the the ER where they did X-rays and they saw bone damage. Then they had to clean it completely out and get the infection out which was PAINFUL to say the least, even with a local. I needed FIVE STITCHES, 3 of which had to go through my nail. Was told I will probably not regain any feeling in my finger and will lose my nail permanently. All of which could have been avoided if the proper steps were taken. My take from this urgent care, they take the quick and easy way out to get patients out of the door, even if it means causing detrimental and permanent damage to patients.

When I asked to leave to seek proper care, they filed court paperwork to keep me there. My approved vegetarian diet (ordered day one) was not honored. Every single meal I was told "you're vegan" and that my request needed approval--then asked for my name to "check if it was ordered." This happened daily. I would sit through most of the meal time with nothing, only to be given scraps like an old PB&J, a plain vegetarian patty, or lettuce with a packet of ranch. Other patients even noticed and spoke up because of how poorly I was treated. When I asked for the correct food, staff talked about me loudly and disrespectfully within earshot, and I felt mocked. I only saw my assigned caseworker once, yet my family was told I was being seen regularly. Most concerning were safety issues--another patient's vitals were charted under my name, and I was given blood pressure medication despite already having very low blood pressure. Disorganized staff, poor communication, and basic care were lacking. Patients deserve far better than this. I would strongly caution anyone considering this facility. But at least you can rely on being billed for care that you didn't receive and food that you never got to eat. this place is nothing but a insurance scam.

I really wish this had turned out differently as there are some wonderful people in this location…read more I would like to make something very clear- this review in no way reflects on my normal GP Dr. Oommen. This review has everything to do with the experience I had with his college Dr Jacobo Pena. In all fairness, Dr Jacobo had a good bedside manner and seemed kind. It was his less than honest medical practices, office visit coding, and purposely misleading conversations that were where I have my concerns. I made my appointment for a routine physical, and as I was on a time restraint, had to see an alternative doctor- Being Dr. Pena. Check in went smooth as always, and being taken back everyone was just as pleasant as they always are. I sat in the office for about 25-30 minutes waiting for Dr. Pena to come in, hearing everyone (including Dr Pena) talk about food and lunch plans outside for possibly longer than I should have. Upon finally meeting Dr. Pena, he seemed nice enough, really like someone trying to be nice- slightly forced, but nice enough. I began our conversation with- "Before we get started- I'm just here for a routine physical, I learned my lesson from a previous experience that I don't want to repeat." I have been charged over $500 for a physical years back due to extra tests and conversations being had. BSW actually told me that he had noted the fact I only wanted a standard physical, so I assume that he understood or so I thought. Upon beginning the physical He checked some vitals and began asking me questions. This is where things went south. (Kinda early for the downturn, isn't it?) Apparently by going over my pre-existing conditions (which was unnecessary- he isn't my doctor), family history (again, not necessary My GP has all that documented) and my current health issues (again, asked just for a physical) those conversations constituted a "multiple concern" visit which you are charged for. If I would have known that, I suppose I would have had to sit there and refuse to answer his questions in order to not be charged. Who honestly would look anyone, especially a Doctor in the eye, while having a conversation, and refuse to answer a medical question- I didn't know any better. I figured, well I've already stated what I wanted at this visit, this must be all part of his normal procedure. I was very wrong. After hearing everything said by the billing department, the office manager, and a supervisor within BSW, I'm able to confidently tell anyone that would like to listen- that if you walk into that office, with this Doctor, he will absolutely be taking you for everything he can squeeze out of you. His kind demeanor is his ace, it brings your guard down so you are easier to take advantage of. He will ask you questions intentionally to be able to code you for multiple items and maximize his profit. I feel deliberately baited into answering questions in order for him to capitalize on my ignorance. After seeing the charge I had it reviewed, twice. BSW found no error even after I explained what I had said in the beginning of the appointment, and that the Doctor guided the entire conversation. I feel cheated and taken advantage of not only by Jacobo, but by BSW themselves. This is not a warning, it's a statement of facts that happened to me as I didn't know any better. This review is solely to provide the details from my personal experience and to inform anyone willing to read it about what they will most likely experience. I may have it totally wrong, but it doesn't feel that way to me. I feel I was greeted with a smile, and stabbed in the back.

I was told when I arrived I had to pay $200+ to "set up my BSW account." Too late to change, so I paid. 12 months later, after a dozen calls, they still insist I owe an extra $475 for a lab test they requested that my insurance company did not cover (everything was of course all fine). We had numerous joint calls and could never reach an agreement on who should pay. I insist it isn't my responsibility to tell them which tests they can or cannot run, yet they are still trying to collect from me. They had no business running some test that wasn't covered. I couldn't even tell you what the test was. I would not recommend anybody ever visit this place!!!
