Great meal to have on a hot day at the Wharf! Service was quick and there were good options for toppings and ingredients and portions were big! We ordered BYO poke bowls and were able to customize to our liking- highlights were the salmon and chili cucumbers! There are some seating in the shop with lots of windows. Nice place for a quick bite.

The cherry blossom taiyaki is a really cool concept and a great tasting ice cream. I struggled to eat it, as the warm cone quickly melted the ice cream, so I probably wish the taiyaki wasn't as hot. But it tasted great and another fun cherry blossom item for the season.

Excellent, unassuming spot on the Wharf. The price is fairly equivalent to the general price range of the area but the food quality and amount happily surprised me. The sheer aesthetic of it, backed by the fantastic taste, made it well worth the trip.

Who does not love soft serve in a taiyaki cone!? Personally I love fruity pebbles so I love that they have the option to add toppings. I typically get the most boring flavor so I think this was vanilla, but I've also tried their Matcha and their Ube and I highly recommend. You can do a single flavor or a swirl in a cup or a cone. If you're just ordering ice cream, you can use the kiosk and you don't have to wait in line and then you can watch them. You know swirl it up. I always take the ice cream and then go for a walk so I'm not sure if they have seating but since they sell food, I'm sure they do. Fat fish is a great place on the wharf and I feel like not enough people know that they serve ice cream so now you know! 10 out of 10!

This place was decent for flavor! The Bang bang shrimp bowl I enjoyed and it was very filling but just alot of rice. For the spring rolls and gyoza they didnt give any sauce but other than that , they were delicious! The bento box was decent but the salad sauce did not taste good. I thought the taiyaki in thr bento box was so cute! Its filled with sweet potato and I love sweet potato but I was not a fan of it like this. Its just a preference though because it was not terrible. We were visiting town and had our food doordashed and thankfully we got everything we ordered.

The poke here is very good. I'd definitely come back again. The service is ok. I'm not a fan of electronic ordering. It takes the personal touch out of the dining experience. The shop is small and seating is limited inside so be mindful of that. Overall, the food is great though.

Overall, this place has delicious ice cream, but the entree dishes are mid. I came for a visit with my partner and ordered one Miso Salmon Bento Box, one Poke Bowl, and one ice cream. The Poke Bowl had very little fish... It seems like only one small scoop of fish was added, and overall the bowl was not worth the amount we paid for it. The flavor of it was fine though. The Miso Salmon Bento was much more worth the price. The salmon was undercooked, so I asked if it was possible to cook it for a little longer, and the employees were very accommodating and re-heated the same piece of salmon! I really appreciate that they were able to re-heat the salmon rather than just getting a new one and thus producing more food waste. This was a big "plus" to the restaurant in my eyes. The ice cream was very delicious, as was the fish cone it came in! On our visit, the ice cream flavors available were sakura and ube, so we opted for a swirl with both flavors. I highly recommend the fish cone ice cream here! Overall, I would consider returning for the dessert, but I likely will not get another entree dish here in the future. One additional note is that there is no bathroom in the restaurant, but there are some public bathrooms along the Wharf.

@fatfishrolls for all of your fast-casual bento box, poke bowl, and sushi roll needs! my personal fav is the maui tuna loaded with rice, seaweed salad, chili cucumber, maui onion chips for crunch, and maui tuna poke (tuna, green onion, pickled onion, maui sauce), and sesame seeds #EatMoreFatFish #FatFishAmbassador

One of the cheaper spots to eat on the wharf. Order at a kiosk and wait for sushi or a bento box. They make everything right in front of you and have a few tables inside; however, there's tons of outdoor tables and benches on the wharf. The inside is super cute, with plants and fake flowers decorating the glass.

I was excited to come here as my friend gave me a good review, but my experience wasn't what I expected. The place has some indoor and patio seating. You order the meal either online or at the kiosk, so it is pretty efficient if you know what you want. You also have many options to customize your order. After you pay, you have to get your drink at the counter by yourself (there were no instructions about it). My drink was cherry blossom and hibiscus rose tea, which was subtly sweet, floral, and nice. However, the service was slow and unfriendly even though we came in when the store just opened. After waiting about 15 min, we finally got our orders, but my customization was completely ignored. I requested to change the sauce, leave the sauce on the side, and add sesame seeds and nori, but everything was forgotten as you can see in my photo. If they cannot accommodate, the options shouldn't been on the digital menu anyway. The excessive amount of dressing on rice (not toppings) made rice soggy and way too salty to eat. The pre-seasoned toppings like ginger and pickled onion were also overly sour. The seasonal bowl with beet-dyed salmon was a creative idea, but the salmon didn't have any firm, good texture anymore. Maybe I should have gotten different items, but the quality of service and food didn't meet the price.

Stopped by Fat Fish for a Poké bowl and it did not disappoint! Fresh, flavorful ingredients and perfectly balanced toppings made it a quick but satisfying meal. Great spot for a healthy, tasty lunch in DC.

Good quality sushi for a reasonable price - especially for the Wharf! It's also a more casual vibe than some other spots in the area. You order with a touch screen (or your phone) and then pick up your items from the counter. I ordered the bento ($19) which was fantastic - fresh tuna poke, 6 pieces of a sushi roll of your choice, shrimp tempura, ginger salad with edamame, and a mini taiyaki for dessert! I also tried the passion fruit orange guava drink (POG $3) which was just as amazing. Drinks are self serve but I just wish they had ice as well - if it was there I missed it.

Cherry blossom soft serve was amazing! Ube cookie was overwhelming sweet and didn't taste like ube Didn't eat anything else so cannot comment on the food. Waited 15 minutes but worth the wait.

It's a lovely thing to wander through before heading in to eat just a few feet away. The setting itself doesn't feel like Washington at all. With the charming little patio and relaxed vibe, you could imagine you're in another country, and it strikes a wonderful balance between easygoing and sophisticated. Little touches go a long way for me, and they nailed them here: silverware with the lovely illusion of polished silver and elevated stemware that added an extra bit of vibe to the whole experience. The staff were wonderfully accommodating from the start: everything was still soaked from the heavy rain the night before, but they went out of their way to set us up in a lovely shaded spot so we'd stay cool and comfortable. That same care showed up in a much bigger way later, when one of our party passed out from a health issue unrelated to the meal, and the team handled it with calm, attentiveness, and real heart. Now, the food. The brunch menu hits all the classics, chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict with fun variations featuring crab and smoked fish, all the good stuff. I settled on the lobster roll, which was incredibly good, served with Old Bay fries that came out perfectly hot and crisp, exactly the way fries should always arrive, with ketchup on the side. We also tried the tuna tartare and the buffalo oysters, which were a blast: fried oysters with a blue cheese dressing and hot sauce, served in the cutest presentation in shells on smooth lake pebbles. On the drinks side, I had a "Bloody Margaret," a gin-based riff on a Bloody Mary, and it was wonderfully spicy, just the way I like it. The cocktail list overall is playful and worth exploring. Oysters are clearly one of their fortes. They focus on Virginia oysters, so it's a single variety, but they do a lot with it across a range of preparations. There's also a fun Virginia peanut-centric theme running through the menu.

The shrimp hush puppies were just hush puppies; it was not worth the price. The Hawaiian poke looked beautiful, but was just okay. We ordered the lamb chops and curry. It took an HOUR for us to get our food. When it came my lamb chops definitely did not look like they were worth $60; they were extremely small and did not have a lot of meat on them. My best friend said her curry was fine, but it was nothing special. Our waiter was nice, but we often found ourselves trying to look for him and waiting for him to return to our table. The manager originally told us we could have our drinks free (a Shirley temple and a virgin mojito). We had to advocate for ourselves and ask for at least an appetizer off because we had waited an hour for our food. Overall, this place is nice for aesthetics but not for food quality and quantity. My best friend also asked for her food to be boxed and never received the boxed food. We waited so long to get our servers attention throughout the night, so we decided to just leave without the boxed food.

The restaurant was extremely busy, with the line out the door, so I understand it was a hectic day. However, the service was exceptionally slow. It took over 30 minutes for our order to even be entered into the system, and we waited about an hour for our food, including the appetizers. Our server, Brandon, started off okay after we were seated, but as the evening went on, he seemed distracted and less attentive to our table. With a large group that included children and a baby, we definitely needed more communication and support. The standout of the evening was the management team, especially Brandy. She was truly all hands on deck and went above and beyond to assist us. She was kind, customer-focused, and worked hard to address concerns and make sure guests felt taken care of. She honestly provided the best service we received during our visit. The food had several highlights. The char-grilled octopus was delicious and my first time trying it. The salad was top tier, and the shrimp fettuccine was probably one of the best dishes on the menu. The deviled eggs were good but could use a little more seasoning. The fish sandwich needed more sauce, and the fries and shrimp po' boy were both enjoyable, especially with extra sauce. One thing I didn't appreciate was the layout and accessibility of the restaurant. The space felt overcrowded, and the tables were packed very tightly together. As we were leaving, I had my son in his stroller and there wasn't enough room to comfortably get through. I was disappointed that our server didn't offer to help adjust the table or create a path for us to exit. I also noticed there weren't ramps that would make it easier for strollers or guests with mobility challenges to navigate the space. Improving accessibility and spacing would make a huge difference in the overall experience. Overall, the food and Brandy's exceptional customer service were the highlights of the visit. However, the long wait times, overcrowded seating, and accessibility concerns kept this from being a higher-rated experience.

We also loved the Grilled Seafood Platter, which featured a great variety of seafood that was fresh, perfectly grilled, and seasoned just right. If you're looking for high-quality seafood and a memorable dining experience in DC, this is the place to be.

7/7/26 DoorDash order…read more MOLD on the fries and cornbread muffin??? Just because people order delivery doesn't mean it's okay to serve moldy food! I thought if I ordered fried shrimp that the quality would be better than a non seafood restaurant... Boy was I wrong! The shrimp were not deveined!!! It's like they didn't even clean them before applying the batter! I've been here on a date so I know how the lighting is dim... perfect setting to hide the wilted brown lettuce and moldy food... I just so happened to look under the cornbread muffin; SO GLAD I DID! I spent close to $40 for inedible food. Won't order from here again! The highlight was the salad dressing; that was tasty!
