This is a solid location to get a lobster roll for your next meal. Although I passed by their flagship store in Portland, this is my first time trying Luke's. I went during their National Lobster Day special, which was $20 for a 1/4 pound lobster roll and chips. I enjoyed my food as the portion was very fair for the price I paid for. I'm also curious to try their other seafood rolls. Indoors, the place was very clean and the employees were friendly. I enjoyed hearing their takes and they shared how business was still popular despite what's going on in the city. I will definitely tell others to pay a visit and try their lobster roll. read more

Cozy sit in place. Fast service. We tried the clam chowder and mini trio lobster rolls flight. A sampler plate- truffle butter, lemon butter and spicy honey butter. Quality!!! Simple storefront lobster shack in the Penn Quarter, the menu is light, yes buttered brioche buns can be light, lobster was cooked perfectly with pops of flavor. I'm not the biggest fan of lobster but coming to Luke's Lobster changed my mind completely. I LOVED their lobster roll! If I remember I got a truffle butter lobster roll which was inhaled (honestly). Small menu which typically lets me know that they specialize in one type of food and boyyy did they specialize in it. Service isn't anything too remarkable but they did have a welcoming environment! A little pricey ~20-30 for a lobster roll and a drink, so putting it at 4/5 but that's a personal opinion of mine. Looked at a lot of yelp photos before ordering from here for lunch. Wanted to treat myself and a coworker to something good and was neither dissatisfied nor "wow'd". Stopped in here during a visit to D.C. and got the 6oz lobster roll and clam chowder. 10/10...both. The lobster roll was loaded with lobster and was the perfect pairing with a hot bowl of chowder. Service was good. Ordered at the window & food was brought out pretty quickly. This is really a great spot to pop-in and eat real quick. The roll was about half the size of a full roll, but they really pack the seafood in - I was comfortably full after finishing the three rolls. The rolls are lightly seasoned, slightly chilled, and really focus on the freshness of the seafood. Luke's Trio comes with a side of chips that you select from a chip rack yourself after checking out. Small restaurant with minimal seating. When we visited, there were only a couple parties dining in/picking up orders so we were able to grab a bar seat by the windows. The lobster rolls are good and fresh seafood. There isn't too much mayo or bread which I love. Have to say service was not good. I ordered three rolls but only two were rung up so had to pay separately for the thrift which is ok. Requested all to go when I ordered and they were brought out on plates. I ordered DoorDash to my hotel and when the food got to me it was amazing. I got the crab roll and clam chowder. The roll was overflowing with crab meat and tasted so fresh. The clam chowder also was filled with clams and was delicious. One thing to remember make sure you order cutlery with your meal if ordering it from DoorDash, had clam chowder with no way to eat it, so had to drink it from the container. I opted for their Luke's Trio, which is three different 2 oz rolls: crab, lobster, and shrimp. Each was delicious in its own right, my favorite being the crab.
