Walked in and felt like a cozy space with the wooden tables and chairs, the fishing gear decor. Service was great! Server was attentive and ready to offer suggestions. The food is as good as I remember from a different city's Luke's Lobster, which means there's very high quality control! Still love the crab roll the best, but the shrimp and lobster were excellent! I love that there's not much sauce and the fillings truly highlight the flavor of the food (shrimp, crab, lobster). Thank you for a great meal!

I've searched all over and this is the best lobster roll money can buy! Quick & friendly service. The bread is so fresh and the butter so silky. This life changing spice blend is the kind've thing dreams are made of.

Luke's serves up a solid lobster roll. If you like lobster rolls, you'll like this one. It has a good amount of lobster meat, served chilled, with butter. I would prefer if the lobster was warm and if the bun was toasted more. Service was basic but very fast. The place has fun New England-style decor.

Must try! We got a cup of lobster bisque($11). The base was a tad salty but the huge lobster claw meat was appreciated. The lobster roll ($28) came with chips and a drink. It came cold but you can get it warm and cooked in butter. (the cashier didn't ask :() I will be back to try the clam chowder and the shrimp and crab roll flight. Everyone was kind and there's outdoor seating.

Pricy but delish lobster roll. You can choose 4, 6, or 8 oz of meat. I found the 6 oz to be perfect. It's prepared just as it is in Maine, with split toasted brioche bun. Every bite has delicious chunks of claw meat. The NE clam chowder was delish also. It's not a daily meal but worth it as a treat. Next best thing to being in Maine.

Quality!!! Simple storefront lobster shack in the Penn Quarter, the menu is light, yes buttered brioche buns can be light, lobster was cooked perfectly with pops of flavor. We ordered the lobster roll flight with a couple sides of poppy slaw. The hot honey butter was hands down the best option, great kick of heat. Second up the truffle butter with fresh dill. The slaw is light and too dressed up. Quality wins at Lukes.

I'm not the biggest fan of lobster but coming to Luke's Lobster changed my mind completely. I LOVED their lobster roll! If I remember I got a truffle butter lobster roll which was inhaled (honestly). Small menu which typically lets me know that they specialize in one type of food and boyyy did they specialize in it. Service isn't anything too remarkable but they did have a welcoming environment! A little pricey ~20-30 for a lobster roll and a drink, so putting it at 4/5 but that's a personal opinion of mine. Seating is a little limited at this location but coming an hour before closing wasn't super crowded!

After doing a ton of walking in DC, we decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat and I'm so glad we did. I haven't had a lobster roll this good in ages! I know this place is a chain, but you can see why since they're doing it right when it comes to their delicious crustacean sandwiches. There was no line when we arrived so ordering was quick & painless. They even do online orders. I went with a seasonal specialty item: Truffle Butter Lobster Roll. It was served on a crispy buttered roll with chilled lobster & a white truffle butter sauce. I'm salivating thinking about it because it was so incredibly delicious if you're a fan of truffle. The lobster was succulent and fresh, but that truffle butter was IT! Sitting outside in the shade with a nice breeze was the perfect setting for enjoying my delicious lunch. I'll definitely be back & will probably order some to be shipped too lol.

Looked at a lot of yelp photos before ordering from here for lunch. Wanted to treat myself and a coworker to something good and was neither dissatisfied nor "wow'd". A lot of pictures on yelp seem to have a lot of big chunks of claw meat. I ordered two rolls and both did not look as expected. The 1/8 of a pickle spear is also a little sad. Not the worst but for what you pay for it could definitely be better

I know this is a chain, but it was so worth visiting!! Everything was a 10/10. I wasn't even convinced I was going to like the food here, but when in Rome, right? My expectations were greatly exceeded! I would definitely recommend trying the sampler! It was a good way to try out all the different rolls without committing! The lobster bisque soup was delicious, and so creamy! The indoor seating area was very small. I wouldn't recommend going in here to dine with a large group (larger than 4). The service is okay. Counter order, nothing spectacular.

Delicious lobster roll! The lobster roll combo was the perfect lunch. Lobster was fresh and big chunks in the buttery roll was a mouth watering delight. The local soda was a nice addition. Will definitely return!

We appreciated the gluten free soup and sandwiches options. We had three bowls of calm chowder. One bowl was great, and the other two were very salty. The crab sandwich was fantastic. Had four drinks. The bill was $80. This was a light meal.

Stopped in here during a visit to D.C. and got the 6oz lobster roll and clam chowder. 10/10...both. The lobster roll was loaded with lobster and was the perfect pairing with a hot bowl of chowder. Service was good. Ordered at the window & food was brought out pretty quickly. This is really a great spot to pop-in and eat real quick. Seating is a limited, but again, this is a great spot to eat and go. The interior is what I imagine lobster spots are like in Maine. Definitely adding this spot to my D.C. restaurant list.

Also the restaurant just has a really beautiful atmosphere to sit down and enjoy some really great hospitality. Onto the food! Oysters were smaller than I thought they'd be but SO FLAVORFUL and just the right amount of brine, and slid beautifully from the shell 10/10 The deviled eggs were given a 10/10, presentation was beautiful and the pickled relish was a well rounded addition We then finished up by sharing the cheasapeake eggs Benedict! Which featured their famous crab cake. The HOLLANDAISE?? literally danced in my mouth. The crab meat was so tender and buttery! Only difference I would've loved if the smoked paprika that was on the deviled eggs to also be featured on the Benedict! Over all it was a very lovely and sense awakening experience 9/10

It's moved around a bit over the years and the exact original location is a mystery. The restaurant story is just the start. The food of course is where it's at. Old Ebbitt is famous for it's crab cakes according to the server so you know what direction I went in. They were more like a Maryland crab cake which has a ton of meat. We were at their lunch dining so salads were also ordered and tasted amazing. Finished the mean off with a Key Lime Pie and coffee. Reservations are highly recommended given its popularity. They also asked that all attendees in your party are present so remember that to be seated. Situated near the White House, and directly across the street from The Department of Treasury, it's an ideal spot for a meal before or after site seeing. What's clear about Old Ebbitt Grill is its longstanding appeal. President McKinley was such a fan he reportedly lived there during his Congressional days. Presidents Grant, Johnson, Cleveland, and Roosevelt all stopped in, basically making it a hot spot in Washington. If it's President approved you should go also!

This past weekend, I finally returned for dinner with a couple of friends after a show at Arena Stage. The restaurant is still stunning. We sat outside to enjoy the Wharf/water views and the summer weather. The food was still great, too. We shared lots of dishes: a half dozen oysters; tempura fried squash blossoms filled with Maryland crab and cream cheese; an heirloom tomato salad with feta and fried shallots; Massaman curry with fragrant herbs, housemade roti, and the fish of the day; a beautiful halibut dish; and a candied Virginia peanut tiramisu. Everything was tasty, but the entrees really blew my mind - beautiful and delicious. We also each had a glass or two of wine, and they have a great wine list. The service was very friendly, but at some point during our early dinner (our reservation was for 5pm), they got busy and our server disappeared a bit as he got busier. Still, it was a lovely dinner overall - exactly the kind of place you want to be on a warm summer day! If you love seafood and summer vibes, Fish Shop should definitely be on your list.

The ambiance bright and cheerful -- an upscale seafood place complete with an upscale, creative nautical theme. The food was great and came out fairly quickly, though we didn't feel rushed. With all the hype, we had to try the Maryland crab "crumpet," a tiny (maybe the size of a silver dollar ‍), toasty, round cranny-toast that had a decent amount of crab on top, though at $9 *each*, we couldn't decide if it was worth it. The crab was spiced nicely, though. One of our fave dishes was recommended by the server -- the tilefish kinilaw, a ceviche-adjacent blend of chopped light white fish, red onion, cucumber, mango (I think), & chives blended in coconut broth. YUM! It was served in a dish with lettuce cups, an interesting vessel for the fish-yumminess. We also shared a beet & berry salad with crunchy, candied pecans with a yogurt dressing. Yum! The entree (we shared) was surprisingly really good - another rec from our server -- the Massaman fish curry with fresh herbs & house-made, grilled roti, an interesting naan-like bread that proved great vessel for scooping up the decadent curry gravy. YUM! We also shared a Caesar salad with garlic croutons. It was good; nothing terribly special, but good. Really great meal. Great service. Great ambiance. We'll definitely be back. There's a really nice patio dining area facing the marina. We'd like to try that when the weather isn't so ghastly hot.
