    Night cap!
    Shawn P.

Stopped into Georgette's last weekend hosting a friend visiting from out of town. Seemed like the perfect spot for a night cap after an earlier dinner. Located in the second level inside A L'Ouest, a spiral staircase in the main dining area takes you behind the curtain to a curated piano lounge inspired cocktail bar. Dimly lit, and limited seating, Georgette's is the perfect place for a night cap or a cozy lounge date. The drink program upstairs is definitively Louisiana prohibition curated with some very flavorful options. The live pianist really set the lounge vibe and I'm excited to come back to try other drinks.

Cocktails were delicious and really well prepared.. I really enjoyed the wife variety And the menu was Huge! It seemed like over 30 Cocktails. We had dinner below And was walked up to enjoy our cocktails. The view was really nice from up top in the speak easy.

Had dinner at A L'ouest....again and again it was fabulous! This time Georgette's was open - yah! Our server was fabulous and got us a booking for after our dinner. You know how pretty the restaurant is and this bar is pretty cool too. It was big and roomy as well. I tried my first absinthe drink and though it was not my favorite, I'm glad I tried. We had a champagne cockail after that and it was super yummy. The music was great and the decor was very nice. Not too dark which was a plus. We got a table but I believe they take walk-ins at the bar. We'll be back!

Made a reservation with a group of friends for Georgette and were walked upstairs through A L'ouest to get there. The decor and vibes are very sleek and there was even a live musician playing in the corner. My immediate comparison, layout-wise, is that it's very similar to Leila's upstairs dining area. They have a very extensive menu with many drinks to choose from. That being said, it didn't seem like the cocktails had any unique or interesting ingredients/twists. The drink list seemed lest experimental and more like "doing the classics but really well". I opted for the Ramos Gin Fizz which was made from gin, lemon, lime, cream, egg white, orange flower water, and soda. It's very refreshing and the foamy eggwhite topper was a very fun addition to the drink. Something to note too is that cocktail prices are definitely on the higher end. Expect to pay at least $20 and at most $30ish for some of the drinks.

    Beautiful table presentation

When I made the reservation, it was noted that there is a 1.5 hour limit on the table. Thankfully, Botanica isn't incredibly stringent about this rule as it gave us more time to eat, drink and be merry. My friend and I split the bill and I paid $87.49 with tip included. Here's what we had: Blistered shishito peppers - mild spice but flavorful New York strip yakitori - ordered two of these because they were that good! The steak was tender and the sauce rendered an umami flavor Botanika roll - tasted fine, but it ate one note. You can taste the citrusy parts but not much else. Mochi dessert - you can only get dessert if you order the pre fixe chef menu, but since our waitress didn't know this, she put the order in and gave it to us! We were incredibly grateful because it was the perfect end to a good meal For cocktails we ordered Spirited Away, Dragon of the West, Kyoko Sakura & Heads will Roll. All of the cocktails were beautifully presented and quite tasty.

I made a reservation (just in case) because on a weekend you never know. Luckily, though, we arrived and there was plenty of available seating. My husband and I had our 10 and 5 year old with us and they easily accommodated us. It's a straightforward, but lovely menu that has a little bit for everyone. We enjoyed sharing a few plates and fresh oysters on the half shell. They do not have a kids menu, which was alright with us. Our daughter, who loves a good steak at 5 years old, enjoyed their pub steak and fries and shared a Mexican Coke with her brother. For my husband and I, we enjoyed sharing their beef tartare and to finish it off, a banana split. What we found so whimsical about Finca is their presentation. My husband and I really enjoyed exploring their menu and leaving room for a return visit soon. I couldn't recommend Finca more for anyone looking for a fun and casual dining experience with a lovely staff and unique take on traditional favorites.

I think we ordered just about everything on the left side of the menu, but the standouts were the beef tartare, the lamb osso buco, and the hamachi. Honestly, there wasn't a single bad bite all night. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, with some unique Spanish selections that were a pleasant surprise. This may have just become my new regular haunt. It's a fantastic neighborhood gem that deserves a place on any foodie's must-visit list. Absolutely love this place!

Whether you're sober, sober curious, love someone who is sober or you're looking for a unique space…read moreto work on your laptop and enjoy healthy drinks and food, this is the place! Being a sober girlie, I've heard about this place for years and was thrilled to finally try it so we had to order a few drinks. There's nothing quite like being able to look at a drink menu and know you can order anything from it because it's all sober friendly. They have a CBD infused drink part of the menu, a kava section and a mocktail drink section along with a food menu. The food looked delicious but we came here for a night cap after eating dinner nearby. We snagged 3 drinks- I need to check my notes on which ones we got but they were all so good. This is the type of place you can come here for a first date, date night worh your partner or co-work with your laptop. I saw all varieties of people who were doing their thang and it felt comfortable. The theme is inspired by Mac Miller and the decor is intentional and classic. Word on the street is that the 2 female owners had some disagreements with their investor so there's somewhat bad blood and that's always a bummer to hear people especially those in the sober community not be able to resolve their differences after they've made such an incredibly safe haven for us to enjoy. I get it though, some business partners are bad choices but y'all have made a beautiful experience here and I'm so grateful for it. Owners: Please don't shut this mocktail bar down ever but if you have to branch out, please do another in San Diego.

This place came up as a completely alcohol free bar and I was so excited to try it out. The bartenders were friendly, the vibe in here is so awesome. Cool things to look at on the walls, an entire shelf of non-alcoholic wines and beers, merch from the owner herself, it was a very unique and hip place. I really couldn't believe I had the bar to myself on a Tuesday night around 6. The message this place stands by is what makes it amazing to me. Check out their website, you'll see what I mean. In the mornings they have functional coffee drinks and by night they have functional cocktails. There were delicious options to choose from, some with Kava, some with CBD. I ended up doing with the drink called the weekend, which was watermelon, coconut, peach, cherry sour and lemon. It was garnished with a sour patch watermelon candy and that's exactly what it tasted like. I just had one drink and closed out and my bill came to $21 and I was like eeeeeek. I love the idea of this place, being sober myself and still someone who loves a bar and the social atmosphere I think this place is amazing and needed in every city but I wouldn't stay here and hang out because of the drink prices. I understand this for an alcoholic drink, not for a spirit free cocktail. It's just doable, for me. Don't let that deter you, check it out, very cool experience. And again, an amazing message.
