Good News Bar is a refreshing non-alcoholic bar concept serving incredible N/A cocktails, some with added wellness benefits, think spirulina, CBD etc. The ambience gives vacation, relaxation, and communal vibes, all combining to create a real sense of ease while you sip an awesome drink and enjoy curated bites. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol, I found this bar unbelievably great, and not just because the whole menu is non-alcoholic, but because the drinks themselves are thoughtful and well executed. 5/5 stars for both taste and presentation. We tried a couple of drinks and both were exceptional. The flavors were multidimensional, with each element distinct and identifiable. The bold drinks were executed perfectly, smooth, and just an overall great experience. Honestly, we didn't want the experience to end. Inside, there's an area with board games you can grab and bring to your table for some social entertainment. There's also a retail section where you can buy non-alcoholic spirits, bitters, mixers, and more. It's a large space with a good mix of seating, booths, sofas, love seats, so it works well whether you're a small group or a larger party. One note: I didn't see dedicated parking during my visit. Street parking is available but can be tough during peak times, so if you want to skip the hassle, consider visiting during off-peak hours. If you're a fan of non-alcoholic drinks and great food, do yourself a favor and get to Good News Bar ASAP.

I had this place bookmarked for my trip to San Diego from New York after doing a search for non-alcoholic drinks. This place came up as a completely alcohol free bar and I was so excited to try it out. The bartenders were friendly, the vibe in here is so awesome. Cool things to look at on the walls, an entire shelf of non-alcoholic wines and beers, merch from the owner herself, it was a very unique and hip place. I really couldn't believe I had the bar to myself on a Tuesday night around 6. The message this place stands by is what makes it amazing to me. Check out their website, you'll see what I mean. In the mornings they have functional coffee drinks and by night they have functional cocktails. There were delicious options to choose from, some with Kava, some with CBD. I ended up going with the drink called the weekend, which was watermelon, coconut, peach, cherry sour and lemon. It was garnished with a sour patch watermelon candy and that's exactly what it tasted like. I just had one drink and closed out and my bill came to $21 and I was like eeeeeek. I love the idea of this place, being sober myself and still someone who loves a bar and the social atmosphere I think this place is amazing and needed in every city but I wouldn't stay here and hang out because of the drink prices. I understand the price for an alcoholic drink, not for a spirit free cocktail. It's just not doable, for me. Don't let that deter you, check it out, very cool experience. And again, an amazing message.

Whether you're sober, sober curious, love someone who is sober or you're looking for a unique space to work on your laptop and enjoy healthy drinks and food, this is the place! Being a sober girlie, I've heard about this place for years and was thrilled to finally try it so we had to order a few drinks. There's nothing quite like being able to look at a drink menu and know you can order anything from it because it's all sober friendly. They have a CBD infused drink part of the menu, a kava section and a mocktail drink section along with a food menu. The food looked delicious but we came here for a night cap after eating dinner nearby. We snagged 3 drinks- I need to check my notes on which ones we got but they were all so good. This is the type of place you can come here for a first date, date night worh your partner or co-work with your laptop. I saw all varieties of people who were doing their thang and it felt comfortable. The theme is inspired by Mac Miller and the decor is intentional and classic. Word on the street is that the 2 female owners had some disagreements with their investor so there's somewhat bad blood and that's always a bummer to hear people especially those in the sober community not be able to resolve their differences after they've made such an incredibly safe haven for us to enjoy. I get it though, some business partners are bad choices but y'all have made a beautiful experience here and I'm so grateful for it. Owners: Please don't shut this mocktail bar down ever but if you have to branch out, please do another in San Diego.

I'm probably the most light-weight person ever so a lot of times I miss out on ordering drinks at a bar or speakeasy. But I do love me a pretty drink but wish it wasn't just a mixture of juice and soda. That's why I really like this place. Drinks were so yummy and made with cbd and kava. I can actually feel the effect or something rather than sipping on juice service was great and the vibe of the place is really nice too. It's a nice place to come and chit chat with friends

I enjoyed the vibe here at Good News. Great place for board games and a large space for groups. I got a carrot kava drink which was pretty good, while my boyfriend got a spinoff of an old fashioned (he wasn't much of a fan of it). Regardless, I like the concept and would recommend this place if you're open to NA drinks and a good vibe.

I don't drink, but I still love the bar vibes! Nestled in Hillcrest, Good News Bar is SD's first non-alcoholic bar. Walking in, the interior was insanely gorgeous! There's moody lighting, plenty of seating (bars, tables, booths), smooth jams playing, and absolutely beautiful decor. It's Mac Miller themed (inspired by his song "Good News"), with photos and vinyls of him lining the walls. Suchhhh a vibe. We got the Submarines and Loud. Submarines was an Adaptogenic drink meaning that it had brain and body-supporting ingredients. Super refreshing, bright and light! The Loud was like a zero-proof spicy margarita. Definitely packed a punch! Everyone inside is super respectful and nice. It felt like a chill listening bar with the calmest ambiance. Definitely worth a visit!

Five stars for ambiance, decor, space and variety of nonalcoholic cocktails. They even have games scattered about so you can enjoy an activity while having your drink. It was like a hybrid of a coffee shop with a bar which was so amazing! The only reason I withheld from giving it five stars, is I feel the staff could've been more friendly and welcoming. They didn't seem too interested in giving recommendations or adding to the experience. Otherwise, I would definitely return and think there need to be more places like this.

I went to Good News with my friends on a Sunday afternoon. I've been hearing about & been meaning to try this non-alcoholic cafe & bar for so long so I was very excited to finally pay it a visit. As a fan of Mac Miller, I thought it was fun that the theme of the bar is inspired by the artist. We got lucky with finding a parking spot by the building. It conveniently located right next to the Hillcrest farmer's market. We all loved the interior design & interior of the cafe. I appreciated that there were board games available to customers on shelves by the door--definitely added to the lively atmosphere. The staff members were so friendly & helpful. Their drinks were unique & sounded so delicious, but after a difficult decision of which to order, I ordered the Oy Vey. I also had a sip of my friends' drinks, & I enjoyed all. Already plotting my next visit to try their other drinks!

First time at a non alcoholic bar and it did not disappoint. We strolled over here on a weekend after brunch at Trust. The vibe in here was super cool. Love the decor, the ambiance. They had a ton of different chairs and couches that we enjoyed testing out. Cute little merch section in the corner next to the fridge. Even board games if you want something to do. For drinks, we got lucky ass bitch, wake up, and the hibiscus tea. Everyone really enjoyed their drinks. It was pretty quiet in there for awhile. I think they'll need more advertising to get the morning crowd in. But I can see this as a nice place for those who want to go out and have a NA drink and chill in the evening .

The mocktails were super duper delicious and we preferred them over the wine flight. The inside is so cool, really sets the vibe and the people working were incredibly friendly. They have a bunch of games we enjoyed playing. Overall love this place!

Love the Mac inspired drinks and puns :) service was great and I liked my drink. Ambiance is very cool especially if you love Malcom! Not their fault but parking is insanely brutal in that specific area. Food menu too small, might as well not even have one.

We decided to check out this alcohol free bar when my sister and BIL visited as they were interested in it after seeing it on social media. I was hesitant initially but glad we went, as it was a very unique experience! - PARKING - Street parking, make sure you check the meter times! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Very open space inside, with booths, sofas, and bar seating available. It's dimly lit at night so it gives a speakeasy vibe, especially with the light music and soft conversations that are going around. They have a large projector playing random videos in the middle of the room, as well as some merch off to the side. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, and made our drinks quickly after we ordered at the bar. - DRINKS - I ended up picking a drink with adaptogens, and it made my mouth a bit tingly. It was an interesting sensory experience, but if you're not a fan of that, they also have purely alcohol free drinks. Besides cocktails, they also have a menu of wines you can select from as well. The prices are still around the same as they would be at a regular bar. - OVERALL - A cool spot for anyone who is sober or just wants to try a non alcoholic bar out.

Beautiful experience with mocktails and a gorgeous atmosphere. I would recommend that anyone try it, whether or not they drink. You will have a great time and the customer service is top-notch.

I made a reservation (just in case) because on a weekend you never know. Luckily, though, we arrived and there was plenty of available seating. My husband and I had our 10 and 5 year old with us and they easily accommodated us. It's a straightforward, but lovely menu that has a little bit for everyone. We enjoyed sharing a few plates and fresh oysters on the half shell. They do not have a kids menu, which was alright with us. Our daughter, who loves a good steak at 5 years old, enjoyed their pub steak and fries and shared a Mexican Coke with her brother. For my husband and I, we enjoyed sharing their beef tartare and to finish it off, a banana split. What we found so whimsical about Finca is their presentation. My husband and I really enjoyed exploring their menu and leaving room for a return visit soon. I couldn't recommend Finca more for anyone looking for a fun and casual dining experience with a lovely staff and unique take on traditional favorites.

I think we ordered just about everything on the left side of the menu, but the standouts were the beef tartare, the lamb osso buco, and the hamachi. This may have just become my new regular haunt. It's a fantastic neighborhood gem that deserves a place on any foodie's must-visit list. Absolutely love this place!
