Came here after church with the family. Family of six - arrived exactly at 11am and to pay $8.99 person verses $6.99. There were not many options as we though - after reading the yelp menu. The salad bar was bare: lettuce, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, mushrooms, & beets. Most items were drenched in butter. Family enjoyed the catfish & cheese grits (that's why the two stars). Yesterday I had Mousaka for dinner, tonight fried catfish. Both meals were good & I had plenty to eat, attentive waitstaff. The food was decent but the service was definitely questionable. This was my first time at a 24/7 diner. Wasn't sure what to expect. The interior is like a retro-feel like from Saved by The Bell. Haha. The menu is quite extensive: salads, sandwiches, burgers, breakfast foods, steak... and more. Lotsss to choose from. I came about 2 am with a friend. Got seated and ordered. The lady who took our order was accommodating and patient with the changes we were making to our meals. I got the meal with 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, Belgian waffle (exchanged from the pancakes that usually come with), and homemade fries. Everything on my plate was really good. Typical tasting breakfast food. I loved the homemade fries. The bacon could've been crispier. About 5 minutes after we received our food, the lady brings our check. I thought that was really odd timing. I had to check whether it was 24/7. She came by a while later and asked if we can check out because she needs to go home. She was polite about it, but it was so rushed. In cases like this, maybe have someone save their tip for when they return ? We felt so rushed and awkward. read more

Always drove by this location and never really heard anything about it so we decided to give it a try today. Restaurant was completely empty so the service was very good. The food was nothing spectacular. Everything was either over salted, dry, or bland. Adding some cheese to your eggs is $1.19 which I found kind of surprising. Nothing fancy but the food and service are both great, we are treated like family. The wife and I have tried a number of different things off of the extensive menu and have yet to be disappointed. They also have so many deserts that choosing is more than difficult. Everything that can be scratch made seems to be right down to the lumpy mashed, not whipped fakers, potatoes! Would Post 0 stars, but obviously not allowed. Ordered 65 dollars worth of food and got back to the hotel and there was a long black hair in it. Immediately called and said we didn't want the food and wanted a refund and they said we had to call back in the morning. We called in the morning and was placed on hold because "they were busy" and then I was passed around from person to person about my refund and my ticket instead of just one person helping me. So I was asked the same questions over and over , ( what's on your ticket, what time were you here, what was wrong with the order.etc) Lady on the phone gave me the the run around about the person from the night before not leaving notes. I told her while I understood, I failed to see how that was my problem and she needed to contact her employee about that. They obviously only wanted to refund one of the 5 things I bought which was ridiculous considering who wanted to eat any of it after a long hair was sticking out of it. It definitely ruined everyone's appetite and everyone went to sleep hungry. They refused to refund me over the phone even though it was an online purchase, which is fine. Whatever, I know some capabilities are limited. I still have to go into the restaurant for my refund (for just a portion of the items that I was unable to eat. Even though all of it was just about inedible at that point) The entire issue really comes down to customer service and the lack of accommodation. Accidents happen. I get it. Just have better customer service and realize that no one wants to eat the food you prepared once something unhygienic happens to one part of an order and you should refund all of it, especially since it's just going to go uneaten. I have spent many years frequenting this place and I've always found it a good late-night spot for free internet and a cup of coffee. Beats the Denny's or waffle-house options, but it is nothing special and in my most recent visits think it has me less inclined to repeat. They have a huge MENU with so many selections that it makes you curious as to HOW they can keep it fresh for so many dishes with only one store. Greek style dinner with breakfast, dinner dishes and the cakes behind the glass refrigerator. The gyro meat is just okay and the pita not so good, but again at 2am this is not a bad option. Only my most recent visits have proved to be pretty disappointing with an Omelette that looked okay and tasted awful and coffee which was disgusting even when they assured me it was made fresh. The staff is nice, but I don't really see how I can see myself returning anytime soon. read more

They messed up an Omelette... The eggs were flatter than the back side of an anorexic woman. They made no attempt to add butter, cream, or whip it enough to give it some body. It's was very sad and probably as good if you have never cooked before in your life and we're ordered go make an omelet. The biscuits were like those from a can and not from scratch as the server suggested when asked. It was dry, not hard but cold and lifeless. The gravy was gleaming white, it tasted like something you got in grade school or probably jail. Very artificial, nice thickness, lacked a rich flavor but had a very generic taste. It seemed like a instant mix gravy. For breakfast foods, haven't tried the pancakes but I'd probably rather go to a chain where they have a level of quality control standards. My husband and I are regulars here so we love this diner. Our go to are the hot wings which are served with 2 small containers of blue cheese, carrots and celery. The wings are good sized, not too small and not too big. I would recommend any of the omelettes for breakfast. My favorite is the chicken fajita omelette with potatoes, salsa and sour cream. My husband prefers either the chicken Philly with fries and a small container of Cole slaw. Drinks are huge and will never be empty. If one server misses you another one comes to the rescue. The service is always amazing here. I have never had a bad experience here so we will always come back. read more

Classic greasy spoon with a big menu. The appeal is the fact they are open 24 hours. Its good for a late alternative to Dennys or the Waffle House. For what it is, its not bad. In the past (5+years ago) I had only had the breakfast and was not necessarily a huge fan. It was never in my top 5 places I'd choose to eat. I ordered lunch one day at work and was pleasantly impressed. The spaghetti and meat sauce was very flavorful...I know right...how hard is it to screw up spaghetti...well all sauces are not created equal. It's definitely a dish I will be ordering again when the craving hits and I'm too lazy to cook something simple. A couple days later I ordered dinner for the family and my out of town guests were also very impressed. I ordered delivery and everything was correct and came hot! When I tell you it was one of the best experiences we've had for breakfast... Today, Georgia Diner was run like a well oiled machine. Service by Amanda was impeccable. She refilled, cleared, suggested, helped...Amanda was a great waitress. When my food needed to be redone, one of the owners Navv, came out with the recook. She didn't even tell us at the time that she was the owner. What we could tell, without Navv even saying a word, was she was personally coming to check to make sure we were ok with the recook and to make sure we were just generally ok. Point being she didn't leave it up to the waitress to see if we were good she came to personally ensure her customers were happy. Service like this is rare and hard to find. I wanted to share a definite win for this restaurant. The food was authentic and home cooked and ridiculously delicious. Seasoned to perfection. These sisters know how to cook, and lead! Typical diner food absolutely nothing special but nothing horrible to say as well. The menu was jumbled and confusing given they had weird combinations for breakfast. I got an omelet which was okay, tasteless and overloaded with cheese. They had Gyro Omeletes and that sounds gross. Service was different to say the least. The servers were unprofessional and sounded like they had zero training on American dining service skills but it is a diner after all so can't expect the best service in the world. Came out to breakfast with an old friend of mine while visiting Atlanta, and this is where he suggested we go. Upon entering the establishment, I was pleased by the over whelming aroma of coffee, it made me grin like an idiot. We were sat at a comfortable table before the cake display and promptly asked what we'd like to drink.. COFFEE! was the resounding choice. That was delivered before we could blink and we both decided to order something equally delicious: He ordered the Thrilling 3 based solely on the name and I got myself the Farmer's Omlette. Both items came out quickly and perfectly made to order. Truth be told, the only thing we actually had to ask for was a refill on the coffee and a glass of water. The food was delicious, the coffee was amazing and the conversation was even better. We were not rushed, we were not hindered in any way. I had family visiting from out of town and wanted to take them out for breakfast. Our first choice was closed that day for renovations. So this was our second choice. We ordered coffee and when it came it was served in dirty mugs. Our food was served cold, butter wouldn't melt on waffles. The pancakes were hard. I will never go back there!!! read more

82 B HEALTH SCORE AS OF 7/8/17 Tonight would be my third time eating at Georgia Diner and I felt it finally deserved my review. Guess the third time is the charm... There were three things I noticed that make this review: 1. PRO: This place is opened 24/7. Literally, no matter the day, your mood, the time, YOU EAT CON: I tried calling in tonight to place an order for pickup... its after midnight... The lady advised they no longer take orders over the phone for pickup and only accept orders via UberEATS and some other app I've never heard of. Since UberEATS only takes orders from restaurants within a certain amount of miles from your location, this option is very inconvenient. Also, Georgia Diner's full menu is not displayed on UberEATS. The selection is very limited (you can only order breakfast). Hopefully they'll update the menu soon. 2. PRO: If you make it into the diner, they have a pretty good selection of dishes. CON: The food here is very bland. It tastes as though there's no effort put into seasoning the food at all. There's nothing unique about any of their dishes. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. My first time visiting I had a few items from the breakfast menu. My second time, I had the Country Fried Steak, and tonight I had the Chicken Parmigiana Pasta. Honestly, all three tasted the same... Ok ok. Maybe not exactly the same.. They ARE three completely different meals, but still, all three VERY BLAND. If you're hungry and the regular fast food joint isn't what you're in the mood for, I guess this place suffices. Actually, the regular fast food joint's burgers probably does number's on this place burgers 5x's over. Just honestly speaking. 3. PRO: Service is pretty quick here. All three visits, I've never had to wait longer than 15 minutes for my meal. CON: All three visits, the waitress was very rude. I had a different waitress each time. It seems the people who work here are very annoyed with their jobs and don't care to be there. They have NO problem with letting you know that through their attitudes, how they speak to you, and how unwilling they are to truly listen to what you are asking of them or to help you. To me, customer service goes a long way.. If customer service here was better, they may have gotten another star from me.... maybe half... Not sure yet, but definitely more than what I gave. Overall this place is a 2 1/2 for me but Yelp won't let me half star so I'll give it the third star. If their health score is raised and customer service betters at the least, they may get another visit from me. MAY... but I think tonight is my last night visiting until then. read more

Just left this joint; I arrived around 1050am so I could take advantage of the breakfast special which cuts off at 11A and was not served this passed Tuesday because they thought it was a holiday. Election Day is not a holiday in Georgia. I normally sit in the veranda porch so I can enjoy the big tv. I even got up and told a sever to let my normal servers know that I was here. At about 1040 no one had come back to even offer me a glass of water. Needless to say I was vey disappointed so I got up and left. No one is ever at the front to say hello or goodbye.
