Receipt with prices. Notice the total $80.92 with 20% gratuity added which includes my to-go order.

Never ever again!!! Run! Once was more than enough, there are so many great restaurants with amazing food and fair pricing in the area. This is not one of them. I would not recommend! Having never been, I made a reservation for breakfast because I was not sure how busy they would be at 10:00am. When I walked in at 9:58 there was no host at the host stand. (Entrance) I waited a few minutes and noticed that my son arrived and went outside to greet him. When we came back in, we waited and a guy walked up and said he'd seat us because the hostess was busy. (No hostess to be seen and only four tables were sat when we arrived. It was pretty empty) The waitress quickly came to the table for drink orders and was very nice and attentive the entire time. ( I now see how she was pushing the upcharges and I was thinking everything was going well. I ordered the black bean quesadillas. (I was charged $16.99 online price is $15.99) The waitress asked if I would like a side and suggested roasted vegetables. I said that sounded good, my son ordered the stuffed biscuit and she asked if he would like a side and suggested eggs and he said yes. The food came it was all good, not great just good. The roasted vegetables were not what I was thinking as a side with a quesadilla. It was a small ramekin with a cauliflower, a broccoli and a few tiny carrots. The price for this tiny little serving of veggies was $6.99. The price for the side eggs was $7.99. I ordered a to-go order to take home to my husband which was the same as mine but with collard greens instead of roasted veg. I got a coffee and my son got a juice the cost for this breakfast was $107.20 She added a 20% tip on the total bill. This means that she tipped herself $4.60 to put a to-go order in a bag. Her total tip was $16.18. It is one thing if I choose to tip 20% on the total bill but it is not okay for someone else to decide this for me. I tried to call the resteraunt to see if their policy is to add a 20% gratuity to all checks and they do not answer their phone. They do have additional tip suggestions on their receipt so I assume that every purchase is charged 20% gratuity even though it also states on the receipt that they charge 20% on tables of 6 or more and checks over $80. and to-go orders will be charged 18%. So really no matter how you look at it, I was ripped off!!! I did not see this posted anywhere, but to be fair, I was not sitting there with my guard up checking to see if I was going to be ripped off today. I was there to enjoy a meal with my kid. This is the kind of stuff that makes it hard for all of the grresterauntsout there! Having been in the catering business for many years I really hate it when people don't treat their customers well and just try to get one over on people. Just for the record I usually tip 20+% simply for the wait staff. This experience makes me want to rethink that.

    Chicken and Carrot Cake Waffle

Chicken had a great taste, and so did the carrot cake waffle. Food (and service) are EXTREMELY slow. Checks for large parties will NOT be split, which is a HUGE turn off. So I will NEVER encourage a large party to attend.

I met a friend here for brunch on a Saturday. I have been wanting to try this place for some time now. We were seated almost immediately and the hostess was really nice. The dining area was packed a bit tight. The tables were close together, but it wasn't too bad. They are close though. I felt like the prices were a smidge pricey, but it's the Atlanta area. There is an automatic 20% gratuity if your party is over a certain limit or your total is over a certain limit. The food was absolutely amazing. My friend got chicken and waffles and it tasted so good. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy. I got a carrot cake waffle and stuffed sausage biscuit. Everything was good. We also had the gourmet grilled cheese sandwich and some juice. Our total for two people was $96. There is street parking if you can find it and a pay lot down the street.

The food is sooo delicious!! My friend's son recommended this Brunch. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday. They cook all food fresh. I had the peach French toast and it was on point! The customer service was superb! We ate all of our food. It was fulfilling. The ere was enough space to sit our party of 5. Our server took great care of us. The staff came out to sing happy birthday to her and she had a choice of a cornbread or chocolate shot as a free gift. The was a beautiful experience.

I came in for breakfast on a Sunday. This was the first time I'd eaten here because I've come in solely for drinks. The food was amazing. We ordered the crab dip as an appetizer and opted for the "build your own biscuit " for entrees. There were two biscuits, so the portions were big. The food came out fairly quick and it was delicious. The server was okay. The restaurant played a great selection of R&B music. The high top chairs were comfortable. Overall, I'd absolutely visit again.

    Fried catfish and grits

Sadly this brunch spot could easily be 5 stars. This was my third time in this establishment and has been met with a similar experience each time. Food is extremely good I ordered chicken and waffles and it was amazing per usual. My girl ordered catfish and grits which were also great. The downside was us having reservations and even after being sat we still ended up waiting for about 30 minutes just for someone to come to us and ask what we wanted to drink. There was a huge party directly beside us and even tables that were sat after us received their food as we were waiting for drinks. This is the only thing keeping me from ever dining in again. The ambiance was alright, if you can think of grass wall Atlanta brunch spots it gave the same vibe. If you're looking for a brunch place in Lawrenceville I would recommend ordering for pick up or going inside only when they aren't busy.

    Oxtail and grits
    Kiora H.

I went with a few girls on Saturday with high expectations honestly. We decided to start off with the crab dip and that was the best thing we ate. Super flavorful and the pita chips were well seasoned and that's where the seasoning stopped lol. Most of my table ordered the oxtail and grits and one of my friends ordered the chicken and waffles with a regular waffle. The oxtail and grits lacked salt and the gravy was more like a soup. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't order again. My friend said her waffle was good but the chicken also lacked salt as well. We also ordered drinks and it took extremely long to get drinks and I just had flavored mimosas. The place isn't that big and it wasn't packed at all so it didn't make sense why our drinks took forever. Overall I wouldn't make a trip up here again. Oh also automatic 20% gratuity

Loved that we were served immediately. Ambiance was nice, our server was kind and checked in enough. The shrimp and grits were seasoned so well and creamy grits were made with love. The fish and grits didn't meet my expectations but I enjoyed how crispy the fish was with every bite. What stood out to me were the wings. Fried to perfection, honey drizzled on top and side of hot sauce. What more could I ask for in flavorful fried wings. I will be going back again to try the stuffed biscuit and gravy and peach cobbler French toast. Sounds incredible.

I decided to grab breakfast after hearing about how amazing this place was, and boy did they not disappoint. Orlando greeted us and was our server. He was kind, helpful, knowledgeable and took great care of us! Highly recommend.

    Fried chicken to go!
    Jenee M.

It was really good. Will try again! Fried chicken was good. My daughter had a strawberry smoothie. I had a mock mimosa, to die for!

    Steamed veggies

Decided to go here with a friend on a Friday because we saw they had patio seating. We got there around 1pm and upon arrival we were told the patio was closed for that day. The restaurant is pretty but I will say the music seemed a bit too loud. I could barely hear my friend. It wasn't super busy (there were about 3 tables filled). Our server wasn't horrible nor exceptional good. She probably checked on us 2 times & we had to find someone to get her to give us the check. My friend had the grilled cheese and loved it. I had catfish and fries. The catfish was great, I feel like the fries were undercooked. I was excited to try the cold pressed juices they had but the server told me they didn't make any that day so I got a strawberry lemonade. It tasted very sweet , not much like lemonade. Overall the experience was decent. It probably wouldn't be my first pick for breakfast or brunch.

    Biscuits and gravy

The food is delicious and the portions are large, I am guaranteed to have leftovers!!!! We have gone on multiple occasions and each time was a great experience. I love taking family when they are in town visiting. Looking forward to our next visit.

Listen! I ate and left no crumbs...literally!…read more I was looking for a breakfast spot and this place popped up. It's one of those places that you don't know exist unless you know it's there. It's located on the corner of Webb Ginn Rd and Grayson Hwy and is connected to a Shell gas station. When I walked in, it reminded me of someone's kitchen, which I really loved. Very warm and inviting. There were pictures on the wall of different celebrities. I'm a big OutKast fan so I definitely enjoyed them paying homage to OutKast and of course my Falcons. So the restaurant is New York City food infused with southern comfort which is so intriguing to me. They have a very nice and expansive menu from seafood, burgers, and breakfast items. They even have vegan options as well. The kind lady that took my order did say that everything on the menu is sold all day. I asked her how long had they been open and she said last June made a year. I ordered the shrimp and grits and the Oreo cookie crunch cheesecake but to my horror, the kind lady said something about they did not have dessert. Now I'm not sure if they had ran out or just wasn't serving dessert at that time but it was just after 11am when I got there, so it was lunch time hours. Needless to say, I was disappointed but the food definitely made up for me. The shrimp and grits were AMAZING! The sauce was what really did it. The biscuit had like a honey topping and was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion size was perfect! I'm thinking really hard y'all but honestly, I have to say that, that was the BEST shrimp and grits I've ever had. I'm looking forward to going back and getting that Oreo cheesecake and I really want to try the hoagie.

My guys is already planning what he will be ordering next -lol Friendly service and great prices. Check them out, you will not be disappointed, the place is small, more so for take out and they have a decent size menu.

Me and my partner have been coming here about 2 months of Sundays in a row! You would think somewhere else would do it, but no! This is it! Location: is in Lawrenceville. If you are in Gwinnett, it's very easy to get to and ample parking. Service: everyone is lovely. It's very family oriented and the wait times are not bad. We typically come before the church crowd, or shortly after but even when we came during, we waited about 10 mins to be seated. Staff: Always lovely, always remember what you've ordered the first time - no complaints. Food: THE BOMB. I'm being dramatic, but this has gots to be the best French toast I've ever had outside of my mother's and my own! The chicken fiesta omelet??? To die for. The omelet and the salsa. Hands down the best in Georgia! Pricing is fair. I mean everything is lovely. I will always chose them for Sunday breakfast.

The World's Best BLT in a Lonely Gas Station Corner…read more Tucked into the dim corner of a run-down gas station off Highway 14 is The Griddle Stop, a place so unassuming you'd drive past it a hundred times without a second thought. Dusty windows, flickering neon, and a gas pump that hasn't worked since the Clinton administration. But behind a creaky door and a scratched-up counter sits the holy grail of sandwiches: the world's best BLT. Served on thick, toasted sourdough that crackles just right under your bite, the bacon comes in unapologetically fat slabs -- smoky, crisp, and curled like it has a story to tell. The lettuce? Iceberg, shredded fresh and cold like it was pulled straight from a mountain stream. The tomatoes are impossibly red, juicy, and somehow always in season, kissed with just enough salt to make your lips tingle. And the mayo -- homemade, garlicky, and spread edge to edge -- binds the whole miracle together. There's no music playing, no Instagram signage, and the cook, a retired Marine named Earl, only grunts when you compliment his food. But when that sandwich hits your table (a wobbly Formica top near the vending machine), the world slows down. You forget you're alone. You forget the gas station smell. You forget everything but the next bite. Five stars. No frills. No fuss. Just the kind of meal that makes you question every fancy sandwich you've ever overpaid for. Earl doesn't serve happiness, but he'll sure as hell give you the sandwich that feels like it.
