Just left this joint; I arrived around 1050am so I could take advantage of the breakfast special which cuts off at 11A and was not served this passed Tuesday because they thought it was a holiday. Election Day is not a holiday in Georgia. I normally sit in the veranda porch so I can enjoy the big tv. I even got up and told a sever to let my normal servers know that I was here. At about 1040 no one had come back to even offer me a glass of water. Needless to say I was vey disappointed so I got up and left. No one is ever at the front to say hello or goodbye. 82 B HEALTH SCORE AS OF 7/8/17 Tonight would be my third time eating at Georgia Diner and I felt it finally deserved my review. Guess the third time is the charm... There were three things I noticed that make this review: 1. PRO: This place is opened 24/7. Literally, no matter the day, your mood, the time, YOU EAT CON: I tried calling in tonight to place an order for pickup... its after midnight... The lady advised they no longer take orders over the phone for pickup and only accept orders via UberEATS and some other app I've never heard of. Since UberEATS only takes orders from restaurants within a certain amount of miles from your location, this option is very inconvenient. Also, Georgia Diner's full menu is not displayed on UberEATS. The selection is very limited (you can only order breakfast). Hopefully they'll update the menu soon. 2. PRO: If you make it into the diner, they have a pretty good selection of dishes. CON: The food here is very bland. It tastes as though there's no effort put into seasoning the food at all. There's nothing unique about any of their dishes. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. My first time visiting I had a few items from the breakfast menu. My second time, I had the Country Fried Steak, and tonight I had the Chicken Parmigiana Pasta. Honestly, all three tasted the same... Ok ok. Maybe not exactly the same.. They ARE three completely different meals, but still, all three VERY BLAND. If you're hungry and the regular fast food joint isn't what you're in the mood for, I guess this place suffices. Actually, the regular fast food joint's burgers probably does number's on this place burgers 5x's over. Just honestly speaking. 3. PRO: Service is pretty quick here. All three visits, I've never had to wait longer than 15 minutes for my meal. CON: All three visits, the waitress was very rude. I had a different waitress each time. It seems the people who work here are very annoyed with their jobs and don't care to be there. They have NO problem with letting you know that through their attitudes, how they speak to you, and how unwilling they are to truly listen to what you are asking of them or to help you. To me, customer service goes a long way.. If customer service here was better, they may have gotten another star from me.... maybe half... Not sure yet, but definitely more than what I gave. Overall this place is a 2 1/2 for me but Yelp won't let me half star so I'll give it the third star. If their health score is raised and customer service betters at the least, they may get another visit from me. MAY... but I think tonight is my last night visiting until then. read more

Today I ate breakfast here with my friend & I had "the Georgia Diner" which was really good! I really love the home fries here. I get them every time I come. I decided to replace the buttermilk pancakes that come with the Georgia Diner with french toast. Unfortunately , they only give you one sort of decently sized piece of french toast. I would've preferred two, but it was okay. The atmosphere of the diner is really nice and relaxing. Service was good, i would've liked to have some more napkins at the table. Really good chicken curry. I asked for more rice thinking I'd be charged for it, but when I got the bill there was no charge for it. 4 stars because waitresses don't listen(?). When I was asked for more rice, she came back with a togo box. Not a big deal but they also made mistakes with other orders. One person ordered a cheese burger, but inquired about adding bacon. The waitress said that it would be an upcharge so we declined the bacon. When we received the burger, there was bacon on it. Ultimately they didn't charge for the extra bacon, but it's just to further explain that they don't quite listen thoroughly. Overall very impressed with the chicken curry. Had a taste for Chicken & Waffles so we came here. The choices were 2 thighs or 2 chicken fingers. We chose the thighs, which were smaller than drumettes. And the waffle wasn't hot. The food here was good, but the service was horrible!! Our waitress was an older woman who was so rude. Whenever we asked for refills or anything she replied "Yeah, okay", and just walked away like we were getting on her nerves. So when my nephews food came out (ordered off the kids menu) his food was on two huge platters. Like who does that?? He is only 18months old!! I told her that the plates were too big and I began to combine all his food on one plate and again she said"Yeah, okay!" and walked away. I thought she would have assisted or at least waited and taken the huge platter! So, my soda was $2.59... so of course I asked for a refill and a to go cup.... again she had the "Yeah, okay!" Hmmm... I came here in a half stupor after the Styx concert at Wild Bills. (Yes! I went to a STYX concert and it was fabulous!) We ordered the jalapeno cheese bites, which weren't that great. Anyways, my mom and I shared the Georgia Diner breakfast meal ($6.95) which came with 2 pancakes, eggs (scrambled or fried), 1 sausage link, 2 bacon strips (which I thought were very crispy), and fries or grits (either or). It was a lot for me because I cannot eat a lot of food. The grits was bland, so I had to add salt and black pepper to it for flavoring. Overall, it tasted like plain grits. Nothing special. The pancakes!!! Oh my gosh!! The pancakes tasted like Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I think it was the cake batter. Hmm.. not sure.. but it sure tasted like one especially with the syrup on top! The syrup and butter are served on the side. The egg.. I had mine scrambled. It was like any other egg.. but the thing was.. it looked like left over scrambled eggs.. didn't look appetizing at all! But I was really hungry so it didn't bother me that much. Our waitresses (there were two in the diner) were friendly. The only reason I give this 3 stars is because of the chicken fried steak I ate was pretty good and our waitress was super quick and very nice. Our waitress Louise was one of the sweetest people I've ever come in contact with and she said some funny things. Our ketchup bottle was almost empty and she said "in my house you should not have an empty bottle of ketchup" and brought us a full one. When it was time to get our sweet tea refilled she said told us we should never had to ask for a refill and that she was sorry we had to ask for one. As far as the other folks food at my table they told me it tasted like frozen food and the cocktail sauce with nasty which was made by Kraft. The place has black and white pictures all around framed by a gold frame and they sell a bunch of random items including shirts. As far as desserts their cakes are huge as well as the slices you get when they cut you a piece. The slice almost fills a 10" plate. A person who's hungry at 3AM can't be picky. However, if they find themselves in Gwinnett near the Georgia diner, they don't have to be. This place offers good food at a good price. They're menu is quite extensive. Everything can be found here from standard breakfast food, to contemporary American food, to Italian and Greek. My advice to you is this. If you stick to food you'd find in a standard diner, it's all good. Their sandwiches are tasty, their breakfast food is great, their dinner selections are pretty good, and I imagine their Greek food is good too, but I wouldn't really recommend their spaghetti. If I had to name a single dish that stands out, it would be the french onion soup, I highly recommend it. If you're in the neighborhood and hungry, this place can't be beat. read more

Older diner. Not fancy. Seasoned staff that know the menu well and very friendly. I ordered a meal (Sampler Platter) and didn't care for one of my sides (extra Poppers). The server didn't hesitate to return it and gave me two small cookies for the hassle. Very chill atmosphere. Soon as we walked in the door we knew we wanted the Arnold Palmer (fatty) which means lemonade with sweet tea. The other option is "skinny" with unsweet tea. Came here on a lazy Saturday with Trish for brunch. Excellent service, decor, and most of all food. I ordered the eggs hash browns sausage links biscuits and gravy and toast and more eggs and more hash browns as well topped with more gravy and ketchup and Texas Pete and jam on my toast as well. I had lunch with a large group on Pleasanthill Rd last week. We ate at the Georgia Diner. These ladies were unbelievably good. We walked in with almost 30 people, were seated within 5 minutes, and amazingly, all near each other. This was almost too good to be true. The Gyro platter was outstanding - although the fries were so/so. I should know better than to eat fries anyway! My buddy had the Bacon BBQ Cheeseburger -- pretty damn good he said! (why he got a cheeseburger at a Greek place amazes me!) From start to finish - we were there about 1:10 minutes. Pretty good for a large group. When you add in the great service from the owner and one of the waitresses, it made for a great experience. read more
