I was referred to GEP by my optometrist for an opinion on something that didn't look quite right in my eye. I have now been twice to the Midtown location. Some quick notes: 1. Dr. Khator seems very competent. She is fast as heck (because of patient load - see below) but, I have to say, she listens, and she is very, very clear. Both visits, I felt as though I was in good hands. 2. Be prepared for a two-hour visit. Today it was more like 2 hours 45 minutes. Top tip: the assistants at the front suggested booking an afternoon appointment because in the morning the doc sees urgent (and sometimes complicated) post-operation patients. 3. I was also told that the Woodstock office may be less busy, but . . . it's Woodstock. Apologies if you live there, but that's a 40 minute drive through the Connector to me. read more

I was given an appointment in August of 2024 for a follow up visit in February 2025 at the Northside office to see Dr.Sawheney. I was called on January 27th to cancel the appointment due to the the doctor not being in the office that day. I was rescheduled in May for another visit due to the doctor being booked up. I didn't cancel the appointment they did. I was the asked if I want to see another doctor; why should I? I have had three eye surgeries for glaucoma and was told by Dr. Sawheney that I should have follow up appointments for eye pressure checks . Today I received a disturbing call from Lashawn telling me that I needed to pay my father's copay or he would not be seen. I was told that the co- pay would be $30. I informed LaShawn that my father's insurance had changed and the co- pay is $15. I also expressed to LaShawn that I did not mind paying $30, but I would like her to please call and verify the insurance. However, as you may know, rude receptionist never want to do their job, they are just there to wreck havoc and put a damper on people's day. So after she kept telling me that the system says $30. I hung up in frustration and I verified the insurance myself. I was right the co-pay was $15, when I called back to let LaShawn know this information, do you think she apologized, do you think she cared to listen to my concerns about the way she handled the 1st call? LOL NO. She just kept asking for my card number. I called her supervisor, Cassie, because I knew someone with her low IQ could not possibly be the supervisor and I was right. Her supervisor informed me that LaShawn usually goes above and beyond and this did not sound like the LaShawn she knew lol. Cassie apologized, but I feel like LaShawn would probably still display the same behavior and give the same energy to future to customers. So you have been warned Lol!!!! The guy kept saying ...so im confused on what you want to do, kept asking me to repeat myself over and over, and I did. But after about 5 times you are annoyed. So I explained that a referral request was sent over to them from my doctor, and he still was confused and kept saying I wouldn't know that information, so what is your question...how may I help you (rude tone). I was trying to explain for the 5th time that it was to make an appt because my physical referred me and he just kept saying...and what about it....So I finally said never mind. My mother had an appointment with PARUL KHATOR, and I intended with her and I'm glad I did. Parul barely said 2 words to my mother outside of barking orders, she only spoke in jargon to the nurse. She did not explain the procedure, barely listened to my mother, and didnt have any regards for my mother's personal experience. Apparently, Parul was bothered by the fact that I had the audacity to ask questions about the procedure, that she turned her back to us and told the nurse to explain. Nice, I know. Then when we left the room, she didn't even say "goodbye" or "get well soon." I told her that I was not impressed with her lack of bedside manner and she confronted me as if it's my responsibility to make sure she's professional. And she proceed to complain that she sees 50-60 patients a day, so she cant keep track of who she explained procedures to and who she hasnt. She refused to take responsibility for her cold and unwelcoming treatment. Avoid this woman at all costs! read more

I waited over 45 min and was told it would be at least another 30 - 45 min before I was even called back to see the Dr. The waiting room was full with no place to sit and lots of very unhappy patients. I spoke to office manager (after waiting 10 min to speak to her) and was just advised that there was nothing that could be done and they had "emergencies". Patients told me that this was common. I had called last week with an emergency eye problem and was referred to Urgent care and given an appointment for 5 days later. I won't be going back. Unprofessional and rude. read more

Dr. Lynskey is great, very professional, very thorough. The support staff (technicians who see you prior to the doctor's exam) are rude, rarely introduce themselves and talk down to me as if I am cognitively impaired. Front desk staff (Sonia and LeShawn) are always polite and professional, very helpful. Attempted to provide feedback 3 times! Was told office manager would contact me (twice) - never heard from her. Then when asked to provide a review on Facebook, I outlined my concerns in messenger. Karen responded and said that she would contact t me the next day - no follow up call! I came here just for a random request of an anterior of my eyes. The staff were all professional and were happy to help and were also being perfectionist on the photos they were taking too. I love people like that! This is a large facility so be sure to know who your doctor is if it's your first time because they are all different offices within the same building. I'm giving it a two star because the receptionist that answered the phone was very nice I do not recommend this place because they do not except patients with Medicaid which is weird to me because half of Atlanta Georgia has Medicaid that was unfortunate for me. My eyesight has been bad for the past year and I was told that the doctors here are good the receptionist told me I would have to pay 250 out of my own pocket for an appointment . Excellent visit glad I was able to stay with this practice moving form the Woodstock area. Dr Bassett does an excellent job and is very straight forward in her reports. Stick with people who do the right thing and are straightforward in dealing with patients. DO NOT go here if you value any type of Customer service! The Doctor will arrive late to your appointment because they over slept and cause you to pay more for parking. The staff will claim they "LOST" your email, and from my personal experience I learned it would take 2 to 1 ratio of emails to get responses (I've had to email 7+ times). When the do respond to your emails (emails about your health as well as your medical well being), they will apologize and tell you they started the email days prior, the just got "distracted" and that is why they didn't respond in a timely manor. Amazon.com understands customer service, Burger King understands customer service, but Medical "professionals" at Georgia Eye Partners get too distracted to understand customer service. They will not treat you like you're not a paying patient in the room. In the end they cared more about my pockets then my eyes. After you have paid and inquire as to why you were treated so poorly they will tell you they are sorry you had a bad experience, and they wish there was something they could do. But here is the beautiful part; they will not try to do ANYTHING. Nothing! They don't try to resolve any issues because here is the honest truth; they create the issues. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Georgia Eye Partners. They will tell you they regret you had a bad experience and try hard to take care of patients with care and professionalism. I don't think its care when a nurse argues with you and tells you the Dr. wont do what you're there for, to say in front of a patient several times as a nurse who is taking notes on the computer and a $100+ photo of your eye you don't have a contact in, to have nurses in a hall talking about conjugal visits with a pregnant nurse while 4 other employees stand around cutting up, or show up late to appointments when you yourself had to take the day off and lose a day of pay to be treated so poorly. read more

Ooh-wee. I'm a new patient with Georgia Eye Partners. So before writing a review slamming this practice- I always keep in mind that: 1. People are always late for appointments, get over it. 2. Expect a wait, you've always waited- and it's a good day if you come 15 minutes early. I usually cope with this when going to a doctor, but easliy get over it. It's more important to get the right treatment and education.. My family had to shuffle me over to get new contacts, because I have special eyes... Well, my special eyes waited 30 minutes for a 2 hr annual eye exam. The technician did the exam, and was very patient and answered a lot of questions for me. They have a computer login screen now that eliminates the annoying check-in process that you get at a lot of offices. By the time my doctor came in, a new physician to the practice, she took really good care of me- gave me a new pair of contacts to last me until my daily- disposables came in. I was really pleased, and I'm glad I'll be coming back here. For the record- Emory Crawford Long is a great location to get seen by a lot of doctors. My dermatologist is also in the same building. read more

I normally don't leave reviews, but I felt deeply offended after my visit to GA Eye Partners with Dr. Bassett at the Johns Creek Location. I have moderate dry eye and made an appointment at GA Eye Partners hoping that they would have a solution or at least a reason as to why it is happening in the first place. It's very bothersome and happens with or without contact lenses, so I knew there had to be something else causing it. During check-in, the receptionist asked if I wanted a contact prescription, and I said no because I already had one and it hadn't changed. Remember this for later. As I went through the appointment, Nicole (I liked her, she was nice and informative) took retinal images with their machine and we discussed what that meant; she then proceeded to do a vision test. I thought nothing of it because I knew I had said I didn't want a new prescription, and I thought that maybe it had something to do with my cornea/dry eye. Nicole then put fluorescent dye in both eyes to examine my eye pressure (everything was good) and then proceeded to squeeze two types of drops to dilate my pupil so that the O.D. could have a better look when she came in. When Dr. Bassett (O.D.) came in, she examined my eye and what I assumed were my Meibomian glands with different lights to check for any abnormality/blockage. All was clear. She then recommended I try new contact lenses and these new eye drops without preservatives that just got on the market (Optase: Dry Eye Intense Drops). She said she wanted to change things once at a time so that they could find out what improved/worsened my condition. Some small talk here and there. All is good. Dr. Bassett then said that I should try Total Day One dailies instead of my usual Kirkland brand (MyDay Coopervision) dailies and that she was going to give me a free, 5-day sample so that I could call Robin with updates on how I was feeling with them to see if it had any effect on my dry eye. Before I left, I asked Dr. Bassett what she thought the root cause of my dry eye was and she gave me a very general, "some people just have to live with it" kind of answer which made me sad because I didn't go there to only treat my symptoms. I wanted a root-answer as to why it was happening in the first place. As I was going to check out, another receptionist let me know that I had to pay an additional $85 for my contact prescription. I said, and I quote, "But I explicitly said I didn't want one." She was taken aback and didn't really know what to do, so she called Robin. Mind you, I had already paid $165 for the appointment in the first place. Robin told me that they would need to take back the 5-day free samples. She confirmed it with Dr. Bassett and they took them back. So, not only did I pay $165 for an expert to tell me I needed eye drops and new contact lenses (both of which I had already heard from another optometrist), and for an expert to not explore potential root causes by asking me questions about my lifestyle, eating habits, and things that could affect my tear production and tear make-up, but they didn't have the decency to give me the sample after telling me that it was something that they would provide and I should try. Samples that do not cost them a dime, mind you, and could maybe improve my quality of life. That was the lowest point. For me, it's about principle. If your client tells you they don't want an eye exam, you proceed to do it anyway, and then you charge them for it and take back the samples that you told them you were going to provide because it could treat their dry eye, which is the reason for their appointment in the first place, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? I would not recommend this place to anyone. That last piece was a showing to their character and customer service, and no one deserves to be treated like that. Now I know that all they really wanted was my money and didn't care for my well-being at all. RECOMMENDATION: Go someplace else. read more

Ignore the positive reviews and focus on the lower ratings as these perfectly reflect my experience. I spent 2+ hrs. waiting around and saw the doctors for less than 15 min. total. I was getting evaluated for Lasik Eye Surgery, they read the prescription of my eye glasses incorrectly (which is literally just hooking them up to a machine). Then when the assistant manually evaluated my eyes, she said that my prescription had more than doubled (when it's been the same for ~10 years). Then the resident came in and manually evaluated my eyes again, she came up with a very different reading from the initial evaluation but again it was not close to what I knew my eyes to actually be. When I finally spoke to Dr. Feinberg, I voiced my concerns around the inability to read the lenses in my eye glasses and the radically different eye readings (both of which I suspected to be incorrect). He did not seem concerned at all or surprised and responded by saying "well those are hand measurements, we will get your exact measurements from the machine the day of your surgery." If they couldn't use the machine to accurately read the prescription of my glasses then why would I trust them to cut open my eyes??? If you are considering getting Lasik here, I highly encourage you to evaluate your other options. I got a second opinion, which took less than 1 hr. total and they were much more professional/organized (also free of charge). The second Dr. got the prescription of my eye glasses correct immediately and when they manually evaluated my eyes, the prescription was correct and in line with where my vision has been historically. I have 100% faith in this other Dr.'s ability to perform the surgery with the utmost precision. read more

VERY, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR TIME!!! POOR COVID PROTOCOLS, BEWARE! Originally called on October 9th to schedule an appointment, first available was almost a month later for November 4th at 10am. I received 3 texts messages and 2 emails to confirm my appointment. The DAY BEFORE the appointment THEY called to postpone the appointment for reasons unknown and after a lengthy conversation with the office employee in charge of scheduling, was finally able to get a new appointment for the following week on Wednesday November 11th at 10:30 am. I arrived a little early at the office at 10:15 in order to fill out paperwork and give insurance information. First thing I noticed was the amount of people in the waiting room, about 25, masks were required but no social distancing protocols and a good number of those waiting were elderly. I sat as far away as possible on the back wall and waited, and waited and then waited some more. After being there for an hour and 20 minutes, I went to the reception desk and asked the young woman what was going on and she informed me they were running about 30 minutes behind...an hour past my appointment time! She assured me I was next, so I sat back down and waited, FOR ANOTHER 30 MINUTES! So now after waiting a total of an hour and 45 minutes+, I walked up to the desk again and told the lady I was leaving, she said that I was next to be called...I reminded her they had told me that 30 minutes ago and I didn't care I was leaving and this whole experience was utterly ridiculous! This used to be a privately held organization, now its a cattle call. People are nice but the getting through the process is horrible. 1. I currently have a balance, and have called 4 times to make the payment and waited on the call for 15 minutes each time, so I hang up. Today, I made another attempt to make the payment, instead I called my preferred location in Johns Creek, for them to forward me to the financial department. So they did and they could not get anyone to pick up the call 2. For one compete year I received someone else's medical information on email and updates via text. I called and notified them that they have HIPAA breach and need to fix it. It took a year. read more

Sixty days later, I am being charged almost $300 for a diagnostic that did not take place, the coding is incorrect. Extremely upset, I hope this issue is resolved in a timely manner, however, I am left to feel as if this company is getting over with false insurance claims. Whoever is the receptionist that schedules Dr Schoenberg's appointments is seriously dense and RUDE. I was referred to Dr Schoenberg for Lasik surgery by my eye doctor. I was having to schedule flights around the Lasik consultation and surgery because I no longer live in Georgia. To get ahead on scheduling, I called 4 months before the desired surgery to get things booked. She seemed very unorganized and confused about every step of this scheduling process, so I called multiple different times leading up to the consultation to confirm I was still scheduled for the dates she (allegedly) put on the calendar. Every time I called, this woman would get frustrated with me and tell me everything was set. Lo and behold - I call a few weeks out and she tells me that he doesn't even operate on the day I was "scheduled" for the surgery. I bought flights and booked other appointments around these dates, and I also cancelled new contact lense shipments in hopes of having the surgery done by the time I would need more and this woman singlehandedly ruined all of this. I will be looking for another surgeon all together solely because I refuse to have to interact with this woman ever again. For a doctor with a seemingly good reputation, please get a new receptionist because she puts this office(s) to shame. read more

I went to Georgia Eye Partners in August 2023 to have a cataract removed. During the refraction exam, the equipment was not functioning properly but instead of moving me to another room with different equipment, the tech stumbled through the exam with the broken machine. It made the process difficult for me and I had little confidence in the results of that exam. After I consulted with the doctor, they recommended a newer lens option for the surgery that would almost triple my cost. A staff member called me to answer my questions about that lens and encouraged me to choose that option. At first she was very pleasant, responsive and answered the phone when I called with questions. I ultimately decided against the more expensive lens and after conveying that decision to the staff member her disappointment was clear. I then asked about the scheduling of my surgery since my paperwork said it was in five days and she said she would have someone call me but no one did. I called her again, got no answer and left a message. I called multiple times to speak to the surgical coordinator. Over a ten day period, no one returned any call and I also received no response to an email. I finally called and told the receptionist to cancel the surgery and explained why. She said the office manager would be notified but no one ever reached out. Healthcare can be challenging these days and I believe I am more patient than most with glitches and slow response times. At no point was I disrespectful or unpleasant to any staff member. I changed to another practice where I had the surgery and I couldn't be happier with the results and the service that I received. If you think you are not getting the service you need, get referrals and try a different practice. read more

Parking is horrible at this place, but that is not my main issue with them, everytime we come here, they are behind, we had a 1 pm appointment we got here 30 mins early, 15 mins later they come get my son for literally 2 mins, and they send us out again while they set up the room for an exam, and we are still waiting, there is a lack of urgency here, and they spend so much time gossiping verse get patient through, very frustrating!! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Feinberg at the Emory Midtown location for over three years. My last appointment, May 12, was poorly handled in terms of the exam - the assistant rushed so quickly through the "Is it better with 1 or 2" I didn't have time to even look to see which was better. Then right after she dilated my eyes, she exclaimed, "Oh, I didn't need to do that today!" after seeing that stated on her computer screen for this appointment. After checking out, I returned home to order my new glasses, but there was information I needed that was not on the prescription form I was given. One phone call that afternoon, Thursday, May 12 - no response by Tuesday. So I filled out the request form on the website - no response by Thursday. So I phoned again Friday, May 20. As I write on May 23rd...11 days and 7 business days - NOTHING from the people responsible for my eye care. No longer. See other reviews about the poor customer service and lack of response from Georgia Eye Partners. Very poor and I'm done with them. read more

I offer the following as a warning to anyone considering the services of GA Eye Partners. I have no interest in further discussions with their representatives on any matter whatsoever. Several months ago, I was experiencing headaches, and thought my glasses prescription might need updating. As it had been over a year since my last routine eye exam (which should be completely covered by my insurance), and since I had moved away from my previous doctor, I made an appointment with GA Eye Partners. While I mentioned the headaches, I only did so to be honest with my doctor. I never asked for any treatment or procedure beyond a routine examination. The individual who began the test explained that he was not one of the partner physicians (I believe he said he was a resident, but I cannot recall precisely). He was courteous and professional, but stepped away for lunch immediately after administering dilating medication. In doing so, he handed me off to another staff member who seemed to me to be considerably less confident and knowledgeable. Shortly thereafter, the initial physician returned, completed the examination, and offered me a new glasses prescription which he admitted was such a minor change that I might not notice. Notice that I never met a partner physician, and my personal care was completely entrusted to junior staff members. Weeks after leaving, I received a bill for $122.37. Several hours combing through my insurance policy indicated they had billed my examination as a "medical procedure", despite routine eye exams and dilation both being listed as completely covered. Many phone calls to my insurance company and their billing office revealed that they had taken my report of headaches as justification to reclassify the visit, despite never informing me of such and never performing any procedure beyond the routine. My insurance company assured me they would review the claim and discuss it with the company. This eventually resulted in a new bill being sent to me for $250.00. They had agreed to postpone the due date while the dispute was settled, so this was not a late fee. I eventually had to seek the services of a third party health advocate provided by my benefits. While this finally resulted in the fee being reduced back to $122.37, the advocate informed me that GA Eye Partners delayed resolving the situation by at least a week while a member of their billing staff was unavailable, and doctors notes from the examination had not yet been located. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown to me, the advocate and my insurance company have ultimately refused to countermand the claim that I sought medical attention, and I have been forced to pay an astronomical sum for what should have been a routine examination completely covered by my insurance. Suffice it to say my family and I will never seek the services of GA Eye Partners again. read more

They are very unprofessional, and do not follow through with what they say they are going to do, such as call you back. They made me an appointment for a procedure, gave me the appointment card, and then when I called the office, they told me that I do not have an appointment! Had a 10 AM appointment as a referral from my primary doctor to check for any eye-related cause of my persistent headaches. Arrived at 9:45 to a typical front waiting room, friendly enough front desk staff, and the expected babbling TV. I filled out the new patient forms, and began to wait. And wait. And ... wait. Apparently one of the two doctors had been unexpectedly called away to surgery, and the other was just settling into the new practice. I was finally called back to the exam room at 11:15, where a technician did the pre-doctor interview, basic eye exam, and eye dilation eye drops. The technician was pleasant enough, but did not even acknowledge the obscenely long wait. They then deposited me in the back hallway for my eyes to finish dilating, "for about 15 minutes,". 45 minutes later, I was put into another examination room to wait for the doctor. I finally saw Dr. Khator at around 1:00. She was very thorough in her questioning, and showed genuine concern for me. She noticed some abnormalities that previous opthamologists had noted many years ago and carefully explained her concerns and my options. After waiting three hours, it was good to finally get my questions addressed. When checking out, the desk staff was very apologetic and assured me that this was not normally how the office operated. I'm willing to take them at their word... and re-assess after my next appointment in a few months. So, despite the horrendous wait, Dr. Khator was very good, and I was satisfied with the care I received. If my next experience is efficient, this rating might bump up to a 4-star one. read more

I am a business owner who demands high quality customer service for our customers and when I use the services of others, I measure everything against the standard we have set. My primary Doctor at GEP is Dr James Stewart, who is top notch and will take the time to make sure you understand everything and communicates in terms everyone can understand. My eye surgeries were performed by Dr. Parul Khator, who is excellent, friendly, efficient and in very high demand. Appointments may take a month or more for surgery, unless its an emergency. My experiences are at the Johns Creek and the Johnson Ferry Rd. locations and all the staff, from reception to medical assistants are highly competent. I would recommend these doctors and Georgia Eye Partners to any one looking for excellent eye care. read more

I tried GA Eye partners when I was told I had an eye condition during a routine eye exam. I am lucky I also went to Emory to get a second opinion. The service at Emory was hands down 10 times better. Better response time, excellent surgeon, etc. I ended up having surgery at Emory and all went well. However, my story doesn't end here (wish it did). After the surgery, I had to get special contacts and turns out the optometrist I went to is affiliated with GA eye partners (didn't know until I got the contacts). I am not reviewing the optometrist as it seems they were just intermediaries following orders. However, the logistics of fitting the contacts, which were managed by GA Eye Partners, were aweful. I would go get the lenses fitted, for which I had to change my entire schedule to meet their very specialized and peculiar fitter. Then, it would take about 30 days to get the lenses. At one point one of the lenses was missing from the vial. I felt like I became a regular at this place and I could tell they were tired of me coming back. Well, that's what they asked me to do! Over the past 3 months I kept going back there and dealing with this. That would have been ok if I ended up with a success story.. however, my story doesn't end there either. When I finally had the third round of lenses, which took 3 months to get, I found they still don't work well. Then, I was told by the optical sorry but the warranty on the lenses expired and that's all they can do. I'm now stuck with lenses I can't use. Great. I tried calling GA eye partners and left a message but I already knew they had terrible service. Oh well, better luck next time I guess. Next time I will ask if the optical I go to is affiliated with GA Eye Partners and will avoid them. Very disappointed all around with my experience with them. read more

This office and the doctors here are incredible. Everybody is always very friendly. My cornea transplant was very easy and the after care really helped me. My wife had her lasik from the same doctor. I highly recommend them for any of your needs. read more

Wait times are insane and once they have you in the back you wait another hour to hour and a half for procedure to start that takes 45mins to an hour. Completely unacceptable that staff does not relay this to patients when the appointment is made. Expect higher than normal parking fees as well. Do not make an appointment here unless you have all the time in the world to sit here. read more

The doctor's expertise was overshadowed by poor operating procedures. In 40 years of wearing contacts, I have never had such a bad experience at a doctor's office. The contacts I ordered in August of 2019 did not arrive until February of 2020 after numerous calls. Next, a billing error pulled from my 2020 benefits for the 2019 contacts, thus not allowing me to order contacts in 2020. Finally, I was billed $450 a year later... a first, since the lenses are medically necessary. You cannot reach the provider (located in John's Creek) regarding billing issues and they will not return calls. Terrible experience and a completely unnecessary waste of time and money. read more

I showed up for my annual check today at the Decatur office (3rd or 4th year in a row) and was told they no longer accept my vision insurance. Ummm, hello? Could this have been mentioned to me PRIOR to my showing up at the check-in desk? Bye Bye GA Eye partners. Your doctor's are great but your front office experience needs work. I went to Georgia Eye Partners to have cataract surgery, and it was done in August 2020. One day later, my vision suddenly blurred. Back to the doctor, who sent me to yet another doctor who told me I had suffered a macular "pucker", which steroid drops did not correct. So my only solution is another operation to "fix" the macula. The first operation was done in a manner not covered by Medicare, and Georgia Eye Partners refuses to do cataract surgery in a way that is covered--so it cost me $1500. When I complained that my vision was worse now, the response was to ask when did I want to schedule to have the other eye done. I will not be back, and would caution anyone considering cataract surgery to (a) think twice and (b) look elsewhere. read more
