I can keep myself busy if you ask me :) There are some benches to sit around/have a picnic but overall not very big. The park is gated so it's fairly secure and there is plenty of parking. There is an adjoining open area if you want to get your dogs and let them play around (note: this area is not a true dog park as there is no place to throw doggy poop other than going back into Ethridge park and throwing it in there). Since we only had time to play about half the course, we found ourselves spending more minutes navigating than throwing. I can't imagine how tough it must be in the summer when everything is fully leafed out -- it's probably like searching for a needle in a haystack. Still, it's a solid course in a great park, and with better markings it could easily be a five‑star experience.

While there were a ton of people, there was plenty of parking and I appreciated that there was an officer there to keep the flow of cars moving along. There's now a dog park which is super convenient for us on days that we don't feel like driving the additional 10 minutes to Brookhaven Park. The only downside is the parking... on a busy Sunday midday on a temperate winters' day all of the fields, tennis courts, playground, etc. were in full use. We had to park in the neighborhood and do a short walk, but at least there was a sidewalk. The nearby street that connects Dresden to Buford Highway had clearly posted No Parking signs. The dog park is a short walk from the parking lot. The paths around the park were all recently paved. There are divided sections for large and small dogs (30 lbs and under). While it isn't nearly as big as Brookhaven, and doesn't have grass (it's mostly concrete, soft mulch, and pine straw), it's still enough room for dogs to run and play. There's a little tunnel/obstacle, a few metal benches to sit on, and a really nice sun shade that will be perfect for summer or rain, and a drinking fountain. Now it's time to get more dogs there! The concession stand was also open today.

Five minutes of getting there and into our walk, this dude comes chasing us down on his mower, scared the hell out of us, thought he was going to run us over, jumps off the mower and comes over and yells at me, "You didn't pick up your dogs poop!" Ok for one, my dog hadn't even had time to poop, we had just got there. And even if I hadn't I didn't appreciate the theatrics. I come there with my dog and disabled husband to walk in peace, it's good therapy for my husband who has dementia but this was uncalled for! If they want to really obsess over something, how about all the poop on the walkway and the used condoms I have to constantly step over!
