I had been a huge fan of Geo's, but sadly, no more. The food and service has steadily declined to my last -and I mean that- order last night of a cheese steak with meat of such poor quality (rubbery, full of grissel) that I could not eat it. On top of that, it was a delivery order that included a soda, but they sent a canned iced tea. When I called to follow up, I was told that they didn't have my selection, and if I wanted the "only 55 cents less difference" in price, I would need to call the delivery service! Different Cheesesteak #1163. My 2 takeaways from Geo's are; 1. Geo is handsome. 2. This cheesesteak needs an Identity. All very good components (of the cheesesteak) but they don't work well together. The mushrooms look and taste great but they are laying on top of the cheesesteak. Good amount of melted cooper sharp cheese that ended up on the bottom of the cheesesteak. Good amount of good meat. But, it's a thicker slice that's clumped in the middle and slightly cumbersome to eat. With all of that said, this cheesesteak is very close to being great!! read more

Although out of the way for me, on a recommendation from my coworkers I decided to give Geo's Steaks a shot. The seeded roll was delicious 5/5 great quality bread and it hit the mark. As stated from other reviews meat isn't chopped up completely leaving slightly longer pieces, not a big deal but I prefer mine a little more chopped, the long hots were amazing and added a great touch. The reason I'm giving this 3 stars is more for a blandness for the meat taste. I could definitely taste pepper, but the meat just lacked overall flavor / seasonings. It wasn't a messy steak so I'll give a 3 out of 5. The fries however were absolutely amazing! 5/5 for them! Will I go back? Prob not it's out of the way for me and I have better places closer. I ordered cheese fries but got regular fries. I ordered and paid for extra meat and cheese on a cooper sharp cheesesteak and I didn't get anything extra, and a cheesesteak with long hots peppers. I paid $47.86 for food that was no better than Wawa. The meat was of cheap steakum quality and the rolls were rubbery and too chewy like they've been microwaved. The service was fast and the young man at the counter was polite and friendly, but I'll never go back. read more

Small local place in Philly. Found it by accident, and I was glad that I did. Burgers were great! Friendly service as well.

I gave Geo's Steaks in Aldan a try. I created my own instead of picking off their menu. I went with chop steak, Cooper sharp, fried onions, seeded roll, salt and pepper. I wouldn't put it up there with the very top cheesesteaks (Angelo's or John's Roast Pork) but it's pretty solid and one of the best ones in the area. Steak was a bit thicker than I prefer (I know some people prefer thick or even slab) but still tender. I really don't like when the onions are piled on top like an after thought. That's what they do here. I want the onions chopped and integrated with the meat and cheese. When piled on top I find they just fall off with each bite. All-in-all, a descent sandwich. Not sure I'd travel out of my way for it, but it's in my neighborhood. If you're in the neighborhood, I'd recommend it. I'll be back! read more

A hidden gem outside of Philly. I had the cooper sharp cheesesteak. Seeded roll was fresh and on point. The steak is said to be local grass fed. I'll bet it tastes great alone but then add the cooper sharp and you are well into flavortown. You should already be in your car on the way here. Will definitely have to try more on the menu next time and order an extra because my kids ate my lunch! read more

I've been to geos 3 times now. Each time the experience has been different. Today's cheesesteak was not the best at all. Barely any cheese on there as you can see from the picture. The pepper that the steak is seasoned with is A LOT and very overpowering. I was searching for a salmon cheesesteak and found this spot. It's fairly new (less than a year old) and since I no longer live in the area I didn't know about it. Now that I know, whenever I return to the area a visit here is a must. I ordered a salmon cheesesteak with sweet peppers, fried onions, American cheese and mayo. This was a custom order from what was indicated on the menu and the substitutions were not a problem. My boys did custom cheesesteaks with cheese fries and plain fries. Been going there the last few months. Today we ordered a cheesesteak (which is always decent ) and a chicken cheese steak. The chicken was over cooked and crunchy. I asked for cooper sharp but what ever cheese they used totally destroyed the sandwich. It was some kind of cream sauce that had no cheese taste what so ever, tasted more flour and the amount they used made the sandwich uneatable.I never ever complain but the price and quality of this was horrible. read more
