A few people are way to critical of this place this past year or so. This is a small pizza place either low staff last time I talked to someone there. If they are short staffed during rush hours or if there are not many people period, then mistakes will be made and the phone won't be heard sometimes. This pizza is great for around here and if frustrates me seeing reviews of a bad experience one time and nobody answered the phone to end in never eating there and gave a one star based on just that and it was recommended to them for good pizza most likely. read more

Great carry out pizza. Had a dinner salads and 10" deep dish pizza. I can't explain how much food this ended up being and it was really excellent. I will be back next time I am in town. I've had pizza from all over Indiana. From Paoli and French Lick, to Indy, to West Lafayette to Fort Wayne. In all those places, I've never had pizza quite like this. The price is a little high, and the wait is at least 45 minutes, but that's what happens when you order pizza that doesn't come from a nationwide chain and it is not a bad thing. The ingredients do seem as fresh as can be, and the size is similar to Bruno's, so you'll likely get more than one meal out of an 18" or larger pie. The most unique thing about this pizza in my opinion is the subtle sweetness in the sauce and even the crust. We ordered an 18", half pepperoni, half veggie pizza and it is every bit of 18". This pizza is amongst the best I've ever had. I still prefer the brick oven/wood-fired pizza at 800 Degrees in Fort Wayne, but this is a very close second. We also got an order of breadsticks with cheese. It was only another $5 or so and we got 5 decently sized breadsticks that were seasoned well. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs tonight and we're disappointed. The noodles were not spaghetti but flat fettuccine noodles that were a little watery. The Salad was fine but we were given a packet of Italian dressing instead of the homemade one. Last month we were given breadsticks instead of the wonderful bread they use to have. My husband and I were in Nappanee and we decided to try this place out. My husband had the pizza with ham & pineapple. He said the crust was crispy, the edges well charred, the toppings were fresh and the sauce was perfect. He added that it was as close to wood fired as you can get without the wood. I had the spaghetti & meatballs and it was awesome! The pasta was al dente and the marinara had a bright fresh tomato taste. The meatball was huge, tender, and full of flavor. They brought out some of their freshly made bread and it was hot and crunchy on the outside and soft as a pillow on the inside. They only downside was that I was too full to try the Limoncello mascarpone cake or the Belgium chocolate mousse cake! I think a special trip is needed for just those two things. Update: We were finally back in the area and we were thrilled to have the chance to eat here again. This time I made sure to save room for dessert. All I can say is WOW! New ownership, not impressed. Our thin crust was very thick. The "extra" sauce was barely there and not within 2" of an edge. Cheese and topping were thin and not within an inch of the sauce line. We order their pizza quite often for office meetings. Received our order today and it was cold and was all slid to one side of the box. It was not good. Called in to tell them all they could do was say "Sorry, we will try to make your next one better". Poor customer service. We will not be ordering from them again. It use to be so much better. This was the only place my family got pizza from. It was sold. The pizza is not the same. The pasta sauces aren't fresh or the same recipe. The last time I got spaghetti the sauce was so bad, I mean bad, I threw it away. It's hard to make inedible spaghetti sauce unless you dip tomato paste out of a can and add some seasoning. That's what I think it was. I cannot overstate how bad. It breaks my heart that this place has went so far downhill so fast. DO NOT get this pizza! First, I ordered online for delivery and had to pay with a credit card. They charged a delivery fee. Then they called about 30 minutes later and said they were unable to deliver and it would be about 45 minutes for me to pick it up. They said that they would reimburse the delivery fee when I arrived to pick up the pizza. When I got there, I was told they couldn't give me my money back for delivery fee. My husband is an adventurous guy and so he took a chance on a new place. We like to support local businesses and it's always fun to find a new place. After ordering 2, 16-inch pizzas and a 9" personal pizza, he was told our total would be $73 and wait time would be 75 minutes. He gulped and paid the bill, trusting the pizza would be worth it. We live 7 minutes from the restaurant and placed our order around 5:30 on a Wednesday night. Hubby set his phone timer as soon as he hung up the phone and at least they were accurate with their projection, since we got our pizzas within a few minutes of that time. Yet I can't imagine how long it would've taken on a busy weekend! The question is, was it worth the wait? Sadly, not so much. The crust was brick-dense, utterly tasteless and honestly the worst crust I've had in any non-chain pizzeria in Goshen. The cheese was poor quality and was greasy and rubbery within minutes of arrival. What really got me was that I have two boys ages 12 and 3, and neither liked their pizza. Twelve year old boys aren't picky about pizza! My only conclusion after eating the half slice I was able to chew and get down was that the pizzas are so dense that they literally take 30 minutes just to bake. read more

Pizza from Gerace's is always a HUGE treat. I got spoiled on the likes of pizza king in Muncie, but these guys do pizza right! There is no pizza like Gerace's pizza! The pizza is always so hot and fresh from the oven, the ingredients so fresh and tasty. On all of my 40 years on earth, this is the only pizza that tastes almost the same reheated as it did fresh, and that's the difference fresh ingredients make! The owner told me that they will make sauce from scratch multiple times a day just to achieve this taste because of how much of a difference such fresh ingredients make. Don't let the price get you down. We get pizza here often and pay the price just because it really is worth it and you truly get what you pay for here. Not overly impressed. I ordered a 14" combo and a 20oz soda and it came to $33.00 w/o tip (delivery). Ouch! The ingredients were fresh and are generously applied, but the hand tossed crust was over cooked, hard, and lacked flavor. Like I said, not impressed. I ordered delivery and it took a hour and a half to get to my hotel room. The delivery guy was very friendly, but no plates, no pepper, no parmigiana and no napkins. Strictly talking pizza here as I haven't had anything else from these guys. This is right up there with Venturi in terms of quality. Fresh ingredients make all the difference. The crust is superb. Cheese is thick and gooey. This is what fresh pizza should taste like. There is a wide variety of topping options and they also have many sizes available so they can accommodate all appetites. I'd really like to try a super thin crust pizza from these guys but their hand tossed dough makes one of the finest pizzas I have ever had. We were there on Wednesday the 17th of May, 2017. We walked in, the place was empty, and we sat down at a table. After 15 minutes, I went up and asked for 2 menus, she gladly gave me 1, not 2. Another 10 minutes pass, I finally asked the girl to take our order. We ordered the Bomb pizza, and 2 sprites. About 5 minutes pass, the waitress says from behind the counter, "You can get your bottles of Sprite from the cooler whenever ".....ok, I have to walk past her to get our drinks. Now, for the next 52 minutes, one customer comes in to get a pizza carry out, no other dine in customers come in. We can here 2 girls giggling loudly from the kitchen, and a young guy that occasionally looks out at us, but not one of them check on us. Our pizza comes out 53 minutes after we order it, and immediately it smells burnt. We lift it up, and the bottom is black, we call the girl out to the table and she gets the young guy. He tells us the dough is fresh daily, and the Bomb pizza has too many ingredients on it to not burn before the toppings are cooked. We tell him It would have been nice to know that up front. We tell him we cannot eat it, so he says he will take off the Sprites! Wow, really. We asked for the owner, but they said they don't know how to reach him, or where he is. So our bill came to $37 dollars, and they charged us $33. We paid $33 dollars for two 16oz Sprites, and a single bite of a pizza slice. We left there and had fast food down the road.
