To say the service was slow is an understatement. When myself land one other person arrived the place was practically empty. We ordered a salad and a chicken park sandwich. It took 31 minutes to arrive and people who sat down many minutes after us were served before us. I even had to go-to another table to get silverware because the table we were at didn't have any and the waiter didn't bring any. The original location has much better service and I personally thinks the pizza at the original location tastes better. Since other tables, who had other waiters, got there food far before us despite sitting around 15 minutes after us and having more people at the table maybe our experience would have been different with a different waiter. read more

I have driven by "Geraci's Restaurant" in Pepper Pike many times. It is in a very nice area along Chagrin Blvd; and many times I have thought we should stop in to see what it was like. The restaurant is in the bottom floor of an attractive office building and has a very nice red brick enclosed patio out front. In the evening, when it is all lit up, it looks very cozy. We made our reservations, which required a call rather than online. They were very accommodating. The establishment is a bit of a fooler when you first arrive. It is actually much larger inside than it appears from the outside. There is a lot of square footages that is split up into several separate rooms and distinct areas giving it a more comfortable and warmer feeling than that much space would typically afford. We were seated quickly in a space that was open and bright and very comfortable. A very pleasant young lady by the name of Celine introduced herself as our server for the evening and quickly took our drink order. The wine list was not extensive but it had a satisfactory selection of good wines (Italian) by the glass. Which I always appreciate as our party typically only drinks one or two glasses and a bottle would go to waste. I enjoyed an excellent "Montepulciano D'Abruzzo". When Celine returned with our beverages she answered all the questions we had and we proceeded to place our order. I noted right away "Geraci's" does something with their salad offerings that very few establishments do. They offer all their salads in two sizes. I often want a salad to start my meal but the typical salad in most restaurants is MUCH too big. I just don't want that much lettuce. "Geraci's" offers all their salad options in a small size to solve that problem. I really appreciated that thoughtfulness. So, we all started out with a small salad that was crisp and fresh. Nothing that had been sitting around getting wilted... Good start. We also ordered the "Breaded Artichoke Hearts" from the appetizer menu for the table (one order was plenty for the 4 of us). The artichokes were very good. Lightly breaded and NO TOUGH LEAVES. There are few things more disgusting than bighting into an artichoke heart and hitting an unchewable leaf... aaaugh! These were very nicely done. All tender and flavorful... nothing fancy, just a pleasant start. My wife followed this with "Chicken Piccata" and I chose the "Chicken Marsala". Our guests ordered the "Veal Cutlet" and a personal sized "Sicilian Pizza". Our chicken dishes were good. The meat was tender and nicely cooked. The sauces were pleasant. There was nothing exceptional about either one. They were typical "American/Italian" cuisine. However, the "Veal Cutlet" was a bit disappointing. The meat was tender enough. But the breading was dry and flavorless. The "Sicilian Pizza" was ok... just ok. The crust was palatable. The sauce was somewhat flavorless. The Romano cheese had no flavor at all (typical American Romano)... they should have gone with the good stuff. We followed the evening with an excellent cup of coffee and three different desserts. I had the "Cannoli Trio" which were nice and crispy with good flavor. My wife had the "Spumoni Bomba" which she was very happy with. Our guests shared the "Limoncello Tartufo" that was excellent. So, is the 4 star rating too much? Probably, but I feel like a 3 is too little. If a 3-1/2 was an option that would be more accurate. All in all, it was a good evening. The atmosphere was nice. The service was excellent. The food was mostly good, but not entirely. So would I go there again... yes, maybe, in a pinch. Would I call it fine dining... absolutely not. I think maybe you should give it a try and see for yourself. It's worth a try and another opinion. read more

I've been a loyal Geraci's fan for decades -- even after moving away from Cleveland many years ago, I still visit at least once a year when I'm back in town. So it pains me to leave this review. But I came to this location for dinner tonight and was frankly appalled at the many errors that happened here. 1) There was a long line of people waiting to check in and be seated, with no hostesses around. We waited for 10 minutes for someone to show up. When it was finally our turn, we were told "oh I don't have any menus" and she walked away for another few minutes. 2) We were seated in one of the side rooms and someone came to take our drink orders. Immediately afterward, another hostess came up to us and asked us to move seats because they were going to have a big party coming and needed that whole area. She told us she'd comp us a dessert in exchange. We obliged and moved to another table. There was never a big party seated in that area, and we could have stayed there. 3) Our waitress seemed very disengaged and not very friendly or helpful. We placed our order maybe 5-10 minutes after being reseated. All we ordered was a pasta and a pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. About 10 minutes later, she came back and said "you said sausage and mushrooms right?" So we had to correct her. 4) It took about 25 minutes for us to get bread. We were never asked if we wanted refills of drinks, more water, more cocktails, etc. 5) Our food was finally served. Both dishes were cold. The pasta also seemed gummy and not fully cooked. The waitress never came back to check on us, so there was no way to tell anyone. 6) After about an hour, we still had not seen our waitress again. However, there was a waitress going to every other table in our section. We finally had to flag her down even though she wasn't our waitress to see if we could even get our check. 7) Neither waitress seemed to know we'd been offered free dessert. However, at that point we didn't even want it anymore since it had been so long and we didn't want to have to wait longer. 8) A couple people in our party tried to talk to the hostess to let her know we'd never gotten any help or return from the waitress, and to see if the issues could be resolved. Nothing was taken off the bill, we were again just offered free dessert which we'd said we didn't want. They didn't seem to care that we'd experienced such poor service or that our food was cold when it finally came. All in all, such a disappointing experience. I typically go to the original location, which I hope is still good. But I will never return to this one and won't recommend that anyone else goes here, either. read more

Ordered veal parm and a Caesar salad for lunch. With tip and a water it was $41. For one! While the waitress was attentive the veal breading was burnt and the side of spaghetti was cold. It has been at least 20 years since I was to Geracis in the Heights and after this experience in Pepper Pike I think I'm set for life. I was in Cleveland for a week for surgery and the start of my recovery, and one evening we decided to pick up dinner from here -- and I'm so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious! While we didn't dine in, the decor and overall atmosphere looked really inviting and would definitely make for a great sit-down experience. Despite it being a busy Sunday night, the service was quick and friendly. We ordered a large meat lovers pizza, and it was incredible -- piled high with toppings and packed with flavor. It was definitely the kind of pizza you might need a fork and knife for, but it was totally worth it. The crust was especially delicious -- perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also had a meatball sub, and it did not disappoint. The marinara sauce was rich and flavorful, the meatballs and cheese were perfect, and the bread was fresh and tasty. It even came with a side of fries, which made for a great combo. My mom ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli and chicken. She said it was delicious and one of the best she's had -- she would absolutely order it again. Overall, this was easily one of the best meals we had during our time in Cleveland. Went here and was very disappointed. Not at the food. Food was ok. Not quite as good as the original to. E honest. It was the prices. $45 for a large pepperoni pizza, salad to split and waters. Just seems outrageous. No drinks. I think we are done with this location. Staff was nice. The atmosphere is good, it's a cute location. Just can't get past the cost. Great experience!! A family member chose this lovely restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had never been there and had just a great experience. Our group was fairly large, a party of nine, luckily a reservation was made. We got seated fairly quick and do recommend reservation for larger parties. Our server, Melissa, was excellent!! I moved out of the area several years ago and when I was recently in town, I had to stop by Geraci's for their pepperoni pizza. Yes, it's still the best pizza ever!!! We ordered double pepperoni to ensure we had enough of those delightfully flavorful and slightly spicy little pieces of heaven. Even the chunky pizza sauce had the same delicious flavor. And the pizza was as cheesy as I remembered. We enjoyed our pizza al fresco in Geraci's little courtyard. The seats could have been a bit more comfortable, but I hardly noticed as I was devouring my long-missed pepperoni pizza. Thanks, Geraci's, for continuing to offer your perfect pizza. the patio had a really nice view and set up with Italian signs and a fountain, and it is also dog friendly and well shaded. we were sat right away at 5:10 p.m. on a Friday and got our initial Waters and appetizers shortly after we ordered. my husband also ordered a beer, which came after we finished the appetizers. the mozzarella wedges and garlic toast with cheese were very tasty. the marinara was a non meat sauce and very chunky. overall, the food was not bad. the manicotti came out cold, but I was full by the time I received it, so no problems taking that home. the chicken parmesan was very good, but my husband didn't like the sauce as much as the marinara that came with the wedges. there are two other geraci's locations in the area, so we will be trying both of those before coming back to this location. Attended a luncheon for about twenty people. The private room was very nice. The service was excellent. The food included chicken piccata with a spaghetti side, lasagna, and salmon. Everyone received a good size salad to start, and cookies for dessert. All delicious. The restaurant is very nice. It's large with nice seating. A U-shape bar allows for social meet-ups and eating. This visit was my first, and I will definitely return. Thank you for hosting our group. This is a nice family Italian venue that specializes in pizza, a longtime Cleveland staple. read more

Had lunch with the family today. Beautiful patio setting but chose to eat inside. Very spacious dining room in addition to the bar area. They are practicing good social distance with spacing of open tables, offer paper menus, and have hand sanitizer in a few locations. I also like the carafe of water at the table. The fried mozzarella was awesome. Great chunk of good cheese. You can tell it is hand breaded and fried in fresh oil. We had to pizzas, a traditional pepperoni and a white with banana peppers. Cute Italian place! They followed covid guidelines with masks and table seating. There was hand sanitizer right when you walked in. Our server was Jeff who was great! He did a fantastic job and was very very polite! Our family got the chicken parm, eggplant parm, veal parm, buffalo chicken pizza and mediterranean pizza. However, he sub came with olives and banana peppers (it did not state that on the menu on the website, or I would have asked those to be held if I had known, not a fan of these which were not usually standard on a meatball sub- and lost more than half the cheese pulling these off my sandwich). But overall it was very good. I do wish they would offer subbing the fries for a salad, would be fine for an additional charge that most places do, but was not an option online), and that the menu was more clear on what comes on everything. read more

We ordered pizza for pick up. Got it home and the pizza dough was raw. It was horrible. We couldn't even eat it. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because my husband has ordered from here a ton of times and he absolutely loves it. The restaurant really need to change their game. I believe in supporting small local establishments as they are coming out of COVID but this was not to be. First, when you walk into the restaurant, it feels like you are walking into the convenience store. Then the older lady who was seating us gave us a look like she was doing us a favor by doing so. And when my wife asked if we can be seated at the different table - the look that the lady gave her, holy cow. But, I was till hoping the food was going to be good, but again, it was not to be. There was 10 of us at the party so we were able to try number of things - most, if not all, of our food tasted like it came in frozen from places like Sysco or GFS and were simply re-heated, re-fried or put in the over. And Italian restaurant that doesn't even make its own tiramisu and orders it from outside proprietor? Really? (and it tasted exactly that, boxed tiramisu). Service was slow, I know our server tried but she might have been overwhelmed. We kept running out of silverware and napkins through out the whole dinner Skip this restaurant. With the food like this, I don't know how much longer they can survive. On Wednesday night, the place was half empty. Don't know if its COVID-related or not, but with the quality of food like this, the restaurant is not doing themselves any favors. read more

I'm probably biased because I always eat the same thing (large pepperoni pizza) but a combination of how they prepare their pizzas, how they cook them and the tastiness of their pizza sauce makes it a great dining experience, dining in and out. I only order the pepperoni pizza which is my favorite. The pepperoni slices are thick with crispy edges. The cheese and sauce are just right. I'm in town visiting and I haven't been to the old location in a while. But my impression is that the the crust is slightly more tasty from the older ovens, although still delicious here. I will order again while I'm in town, though briefly. (Probably today, now that I'm thinking about it ;) That's how much I love it. read more

The pizza made me long for the frozen one from Trader Joes which we ended up eating because this one lacked flavor and the eggplant was dry and looked and tasted like cardboard. read more
