Consumers beware. We brought our 2014 Ford Escape to Sutton Ford on January 28, 2026, because it…read morewas shuddering and shutting off once warm. After several days with limited communication, we were told that diagnostic testing identified a coolant sensor issue as the cause. Based on that explanation, we approved the recommended repairs. On February 3, we were informed the vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup. We paid $1,180.55 before receiving the keys. However, immediately upon starting the vehicle in the dealership lot, it continued shuddering and shut off. The tire warning light we were told had been repaired was still on. We had to leave the vehicle as it was inoperable. The following day, we were told by the service manager that a full inspection had not initially been completed. Shortly after, the diagnosis changed to a transmission issue with an $8,000 replacement quote. The invoice indicates that no post-repair road test was performed before the vehicle was released to us as "repaired." The original issue was not resolved, and the vehicle remains inoperable. We encourage others to ask detailed questions, request written confirmation of repairs performed, and confirm that a post-repair road test has been completed before paying and leaving the lot. We feel completely scammed by this dealership! Stay away.

Today, when I came in to use one of those oil changes, I was told there is no record of it in their system. To make matters worse, the sales associate who originally helped me is no longer with the company, and it feels like that's being used as an excuse to avoid honoring what was promised. This situation makes me feel completely misled and undervalued as a customer. Promises made during a sale should be documented and honored regardless of staffing changes. Very unprofessional experience, and I would strongly recommend future customers get everything in writing before finalizing any deal here. Better yet avoid this place at all cost. Go to McCarthy ford the do better business and even better ppl.

My complaint is the dealership tried to rob me of $500. When they finished they gave me a bill for $500. I asked the nice lady behind the counter whether this was covered under my warranty. I was told no. Then a gentleman named John, I think, took me in an office and told me the same thing. The warranty doesn't cover sensors, he told me. I was sent back to the counter to pay. The dealer that sold me the vehicle informed me I am covered with a 60,000 mile/5 year warranty. I was currently under 29000. While waiting I Googled it and yes I am covered. This finally convinced the counter lady to talk to someone in the back. She came back and let me know that yes, my warranty covers this work. That was taken care of, but my concern is the dealership was going to charge me $500 for work they know is covered. That's like stealing and not good business. How can I trust Hyundai now? I am on my fourth Hyundai vehicle and have always been happy with each vehicle and the service, until now. I was being taken as a fool, that's how you treat your customers? I will never go back to this dealership again. I might not want a Hyundai as my next vehicle either. If you go there, don't let your guard down.

I contacted a few dealerships and they were all booked for sometime to come. However, I called Hawkinson Nissan and told them of my dilemma and I asked for assistance ASAP, they told me what time to arrive, I did it, they fixed it... That very day. Jason, in the service department was exceptional! He was very professional, kind and very attentive. The issue was resolved and I was out the door in a good amount of time. So, I asked if I could bring my sisters car and Jason said if I brought it in early next morning, he'd have me in and out ASAP. Done deal! thanks Jason! Lastly, I also stopped by for the first time a few days earlier before the 1st service job to see if they could take a look at a key fob that wasn't working properly. Joel, (see pic) in the retail parts, simply changed the battery and 5 mins & $6 later, I was out the door. Thanks Hawkinson Nissan!

An aggressive staff (Jeremiah) that refused to clarify why he did not point out that the air-bag light was on when I first brought the car in (because it was not on) but like a faulty robot on the following day kept repeating that I should buy a new car. This surely revealed why my car has been tampered with. This out-dated tactic of messing up a car that starts out needing a tune-up and ending up with a massive repair bill after an intensional "throwing a wrench into the works" so as to sell Gerald Nissan's new cars will not work with me.
