Excellent customer service from the Gerald Nissan staff. I worked with Andi Valquez who took the time to show me several cars. She even included a gift for my daughter's first car. GM Derek Urban offered excellent incentive and discount of the vehicle I purchased. Sales Manager Anthony Adams and Finance Manager John Palmer finalized the purchase and thoroughly reviewed all warranty terms and conditions. Thanks again to you all!! If your looking for a great deal and excellent customer service visit Gerald Nissan in Matteson!!!!

Online sales person contacted me directly after my online inquiry in response to their online listing of Nissan Altima 2019 SV trim AWD. She provided the quote of $21,000 excluding title, sales tax, documentation fee. We drove 2 hours to this dealership and when we sat for final numbers, Sales manager came up with a OTD price of $26,040. So the price that they confirmed changed from $21,000 to $23,710 (+ the sales tax+documentation fee+government fee is $2,330, which was excluded from advertised cost that we already know). So when we asked about it, he mentioned about the mandatory dealership items (wheel locks $599, simonize paint $1599, anti theft protection $399 and ETHOS $355) that I should pay to qualify for the online advertised price. When I showed their site where this information is not mentioned then he mention that you won't be driving all 2 hours to their dealership if price is not attractive but they will be in loss if they sell the car for online advertised price. So I have to buy these dealer added items at their mentioned price. I ended up paying extra $2000 than what I was expecting to pay for the car. I know if I buy the wheel locks directly from Nissan it cost me $70 but I paid $599, I don't need the simonize paint and anti theft stickers but had to buy in order to qualify for online advertised price. After reviewing google reviews, I am seeing similar responses from other online shoppers about this dealership. So please beware of the online scam price that this dealership offering, though dealership and inventory seems decent not sure why management is encouraging this dealership item scam(?)

I did the usual research and pretty much cut the deal in one day via email with Hawkinson executive manager Tim Curran.

The battery was UNUSED, and when he attempted to return it, he was told that they do not accept returns on parts. Our biggest issue is that this policy was never disclosed to him at the the time of purchase. We could not find it stated on the receipt, and there were no signs in the store informing customers that parts could not be return. When my husband asked to speak with the manager, the person assisting him stated that she was the manager-and she was also the person who originally sold him the battery. My husband asked a very reasonable question: Why wasn't he told at the time of purchase that a $300+ battery could not be returned? In my opinion, that is extremely poor customer service and management. When a customer is spending more than $300 on an item, a no-return policy should be clearly disclosed BEFORE the purchase is completed, especially if the item is unused. Unfortunately, our experience with corporate customer service was no better. We were extremely disappointed with how the entire situation was handled. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this LOCATION. I would suggest taking your business somewhere that clearly communicates its policies and makes customer service a priority.

I should've recorded the officer who locked me in the back of his squad car to help me "stay warm" but didn't respect my wishes to let me out and try to drive the car and didn't listen to my parents who were on the phone with me during all of this . The manager pulled off with the car as soon as they brought it up . Without my permission, as well as his "employee" who was African American and didn't have no say in anything witnessEd it all but as soon as we pulled up there . The employee was on another call and drove off while we were pulling in very guilty huh? So here we go with the disrespectful , lying , money hungry , goofy manager. He kept lying saying that I said one thing when I told him to his face "IM NOT MAKING A DECISION TILL MY MOM AND SISTER IS HERE". Gladly my mother walked in and talked things out with them because they know what they did to me her son . So with this also being connected to Park Forest police who tries to use people's accidents or people being stuck in a ditch. To their advantage so they can meet their "buisness" quota , and or make there police buddies look good as well for putting people into their money trap . Luckily me and my family was able to get the car out of that piece of shit ass yard. And gladly they didn't get reported to the news for the actions that I went through on MLK day . With Park Forest Police as well as Coys towing place . They prey on people who get into accidents on the backroads . should've just left myself in the car and waited on my insurance to pull up . But police are supposed to respect your wishes and help right ? Not help themshelves and their crooked ways of thinking. But God don't like ugly so in due time what goes around comes back around . God Bless and have a good rest of your year :)

After several days with limited communication, we were told that diagnostic testing identified a coolant sensor issue as the cause. Based on that explanation, we approved the recommended repairs. On February 3, we were informed the vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup. We paid $1,180.55 before receiving the keys. However, immediately upon starting the vehicle in the dealership lot, it continued shuddering and shut off. The tire warning light we were told had been repaired was still on. We had to leave the vehicle as it was inoperable. The following day, we were told by the service manager that a full inspection had not initially been completed. Shortly after, the diagnosis changed to a transmission issue with an $8,000 replacement quote. The invoice indicates that no post-repair road test was performed before the vehicle was released to us as "repaired." The original issue was not resolved, and the vehicle remains inoperable. We encourage others to ask detailed questions, request written confirmation of repairs performed, and confirm that a post-repair road test has been completed before paying and leaving the lot. We feel completely scammed by this dealership! Stay away.

Today, when I came in to use one of those oil changes, I was told there is no record of it in their system. To make matters worse, the sales associate who originally helped me is no longer with the company, and it feels like that's being used as an excuse to avoid honoring what was promised. This situation makes me feel completely misled and undervalued as a customer. Promises made during a sale should be documented and honored regardless of staffing changes. Very unprofessional experience, and I would strongly recommend future customers get everything in writing before finalizing any deal here. Better yet avoid this place at all cost. Go to McCarthy ford the do better business and even better ppl.
