Fun and vibey restaurant Inside the Hetel Van Zant. I came for bunch with girlfriends. We had reservations for 12;30 and were seated right away. The atmosphere was driven by a DJ with a saxophone accompanist. Possibly a bit cheesy, but still fun. The place was hopping and quite energetic when we arrived. We ordered the French 76 cocktail, which we all enjoyed, and our meals: the chilaquilles and the pork carnitas torte. All delicious. This place is fun and the food is good. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but it's a hotel restaurant so sort of expected. Thumbs up I'd come back.

We did their Christmas experience, which was memorable overall. It was definitely on the expensive side, but we were celebrating a friend's birthday, so it felt appropriate for a special occasion. The tent was cozy and added to the experience. I enjoyed most of the food. Oysters were good, the tomahawk steak was tender, and the pork was excellent and very tender. The eggnog drink was sweet and creamy and came in the cutest cup, I honestly wanted to take it home Portions didn't quite match the price, but aside from that, it wasn't bad. Service was good, and everyone was polite and attentive.

I really wanted to love Geraldine's because I have been wanting to try it for a long time. The food was pretty good. I ordered the burger and I enjoyed it, but unfortunately, my visit was tarnished by the service. Our server didn't communicate well. We did have a larger group so we expected some wait time, but four of us ordered the frozen drink and 20 minutes later were told that the frozen drink machine wasn't working well and to give it a few more minutes. Ten minutes later we were told that it wasn't working at all. That was fine, but let us know sooner and we could've chosen something else. Another time we asked for mustard, she brought honey mustard. We politely mentioned it was honey mustard and she responded "well, that's what we have" and walked away. When you're paying $20 for a burger, you don't think it'll come with a side of sass. This continued to happen throughout the meal. Not sure we'll be back.

Stopped in to grab a quick drink. My wife ordered a Pinot Grigio from Italy ($16) and I ordered a non-alcoholic 0.0 Heineken ($7). The drinks were good. Service was good. Beautiful restaurant. The food looked amazing. We'll go back to have dinner one night.

Came here for brunch with my two youngest daughters. It took awhile to find decent parking (should have used the hotel's valet) in a sketchy neighborhood. Pearl was a good server. We ordered eggs Benedict, a cheeseburger, overnight oats with fruit, and biscuits. Food was okay. Live jazz musicians were great.

This classy sophisticated brunch restaurant was delightful and unexpectedly great. Probably the best eggs Benedict of my life. The waitress was polite and food came out really quickly. Definitely recommend

We had a reservation on a Saturday and we were seated within 15 minutes of our reservation however after ordering, it took over an hour for us to get our food. I ordered the French Toast and was not impressed - the center was very doughy. A few of my friends ordered the Benedict and one of my friend's side salads was so salty and it made it inedible.

We came here for our anniversary brunch and loved it! There was live jazz in the morning, which made the vibe so nice. The food was solid--we tried the avocado toast (it was okay), but the chilaquiles were amazing! They also gave us a free cinnamon roll, and honestly, it was the best thing we had. Overall, great atmosphere, awesome service, and good food. Definitely recommend!

This was one of my favorite meals while I was visiting Austin. The ambiance, the service, and the food were all on 100. It's a little more upscale than nearby restaurants so definitely put on a nice outfit if you're coming here. Our waiter was really nice & service was pretty quick. For food- Everything here is made to share so i recommend ordering about 2-3 dishes per person. The biscuits are a must!! They were so so good. I also really enjoyed the scallops and the buttermilk chess pie. I don't eat meat but my friends raved about the Korean fried chicken. We also tried the two pasta dishes - creste di gallo pasta & the Cacio e pepe, I prefer the latter. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the desert called arroz con leche. Things are a little pricey here but this restaurant is definitely worth the splurge.

Dessert, Buttermilk Chess Pie (15). Yum!

Does the restaurant offer happy hour specials?

Does it get loud here during dinner time?

Yes it does, even in the private dining areas. It's not unbearably loud though, you should be fine depending on the size of your party. They also have live entertainment on certain nights which adds to the loudness.

Anything vegan at this spot? Thanks.

Not sure but I will ask. The ceviche taco is made with Cobia

Our server was super friendly and helpful. She recommended a couple of her favorite smoothies. I ordered the Sweet Corn Cake Benedict: poached eggs, jalapeño cheddar corn cakes, avocado, tomato & corn salsa (4/5). I liked and enjoyed my breakfast, which was fresh and light. Berry Basil Smoothie: blueberry, strawberry, basil, banana, agave, pomegranate, coconut water, lime juice (4/5). This was very delicious. My coworkers order the Everything Sandwich: everything cream cheese, peppered bacon, baby kale, roasted roma tomatoes (4/5). Flavorful, with a light freshness of all the ingredients. My other coworker ordered a side of Breakfast Potatoes & a Detox Juice: acai, pomegranate, coconut water, lime. Both really liked the breakfast potatoes, which had a crisp exterior crunch yet soft and creamy inside. Come check them out. Support your local business.

While we didn't indulge in the beverages, we enjoyed the $10 burger special which also came with fries! We paired this with a side of a $6 Caesar Salad (really tasty and thrown together with thinly sliced cabbage, roasted chickpeas, and popcorn chicken). Next time, I'd really love to try the truffle mac and cheese (which was also on HH). We weren't aware of the upcharge for swapping out the slice of American for Cheddar (+$1.50), which would've been nice to know ahead of time, since we both got burgers and wondered about the swap...but lesson learned. Also, BIG lesson learned...the parking validation is for only two hours! We were having such a lovely time at Dish Society, but exceeded the 2 hrs (by an extra hour) and got charged a significant amount for parking. Next time, we will certainly park on the street. We tried reasoning with the parking attendant and they wanted no business in understanding we were patrons of the restaurant.
