They used after market parts and junk yard parts on my car. They said they would warranty all the parts and labor. All the parts have gone bad. Ball joints went bad, cv axle, mirror, strut, control arm.and wheel bearing. The first time they did the wheel bearing they installed it in backwards. They put a mirror on the car that was bad and made use find out what they broke before they would replace the mirror. They forgot to tighten the the bolts on the control arm which I Hade to pay someone else to fix. Hade to pay Honda to tell me what Gerber messed up to get them to install it correctly. The paint is rusting and they looked at it again said they would fix it and every thing that is broken with oem parts. Then when it was time to bring it in to get fixed they said they changed their mind they aren't fixing it now. They are lairs and do very bad work. Save your self the nightmare of going to them. I have my attorney getting ahold of them, he hade my paperwork from when the accident happened. Hoping my attorney can help me get out of the mess this place has but me in. Plus the lady at the desk always has an attitude when you call them. Never again hope this helps everyone that thinks about going to them make the correct choice before ending up in my shoes. Sad every part they replaced went bad so fast not just one part every part they used. If it wasn't because of them installing it wrong or using junk yard parts it went bad because of how cheap the parts where that they used maybe all the parts came from junk yard kinda seems that way to me .plus that kind of work can kill someone. This is, by far, the very worst auto body company you can go to. They have hired a bunch of people who are rude, banal, profane, vile, repulsive, arrogant, churlish, insolent, impertinent, and have an imitation sense of superiority over their customers. If you enjoy masochism then you will like this place, but if you prefer a body shop that treats you kindly then you will need to go to any other location because even if another place treats you poorly, it will still be better than the treatment you get at Gerber. You will have the phone hung up on you, you will have your car held for ransom, I promise you will not leave satisfied with their work or their customer service. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I requested a quote for my windshield repair. I received a call back and it was like the Spanish Inquisition. The rep would not believe me when I told him that I did not have any heated seats, a sunroof, or special rear view mirror. I had to repeat myself at least 3-4 times and he demanded my VIN because he said "I show you should have this in your truck" I told him that I'd had my truck for 5 years and I knew its specs and I had nothing special. He was so rude I hung up and sent an email complaint to customer care. A customer service supervisor called me back but left a generic phone number. When I called it back, no one knew who he was and had to send an email just to get him to call me again. When he called back, he did apologize and offered me a lower rate. When I tried to schedule service however, I was told "well I can't actually schedule you a time, I will have to have someone call you tomorrow after 9 to give you a time." I explained I had to be at work at noon. This went round and round. I explained I lived over 1/2 hour from the shop and could not chance not being able to get in for repair. I told him I would hold off. I then tried to schedule an appointment myself on their website. This was at 415 pm. NO ONE EVER RETURNED MY CALL! I then called customer service this morning and received the wrong area. The guy I talked to promised me he would pass along the info and I would get a call back ASAP. That was at 9 this am and NO CALL. Will NEVER use these guys for anything or recommend them to anyone. read more

Horrible experience. Don't listen to a word they say. They will say that your car will be ready but you won't get it until several days maybe weeks after they"promise." They are very rude when you call for a status on your vehicle. Stay away!! read more

I personally do not have experience with these guys, but my wife has been dealing with them for about a week now. I understand that an estimate is just that, an estimate, but when she brought in the vehicle, they estimate both time and money. Both of which were WAY off. Were told it would be done in a few days, so we got a rental.. then they call late Friday night and leave a message saying it was gonna be 1200 more and wanted the go ahead. We said ok, then they call today saying it' gonna be yet another week. Mind you, we chose this place because even though they were "short staffed", they claimed it would be done within a few days. Now it's going to be two weeks of a rental car. Which officially makes the overall experience way more costly that we had anticipated. We won't come back to this place. It's gotten too expensive at this point. read more

I took my 2014 GMC Sierra here for repairs after getting rear ended. All of the staff were courteous and professional throughout the entire process. The repairs were finished quickly enough that my vehicle was returned to me a day ahead of schedule, and they did a very good job; the truck looks like it did the day I bought it. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for one. Hell yeah Gerber!! They seriously are the best people around. I was really anxious about having my truck repaired...it's my everything. I went for my estimate and was super impressed. They are extremely professional but fun to hang out with too. I was well taken care of, they spoke to the insurance company for me. They updated me on the status of my repair daily. They really were on top of it all. When I picked my truck up it looked better than when I dropped it off! I can't thank this place enough. I love the staff too they really made the experience for me. Ed was easy to deal with, provided a quick estimate and seamlessly handled everything with the insurance company to arrange the repairs to my vehicle. He had a rental car ready for me when I dropped off my vehicle, sent frequent updates throughout the process, and had my car ready (looking perfect) exactly when he said he would. They even detailed my vehicle so that it looked brand new inside and out. I had a pleasant experience with Gerber! I had a freak accident with my not even a week old Jeep where something on the highway flew at me and took off my side mirror. My insurance set me up with Gerber and I couldn't be happier. They got me right in and even had a rental ready for me right down the road with transportation to it. Well what can you say when a friend recommends a Body Shop and you try to go get a Estimate for your car ? I called in on a Saturday around 9am to see if they had time for a Estimate, nobody picked up the phone but the recording indicated they were open till noon, So I packed up the kids and headed to Akron about 25 mins from my house. To my surprise nobody was there and on the door it said Saturday Hours by appointment only ? I had some shopping to do in Akron anyhow and it was no problem. I called in Wednesday to scheduled for 9 am the following Saturday and explained to Ben what happened and he laughed indicating the phones don't ring in to our location on Saturdays but was available to see me. Ok here we go again pack up the kids head to Akron 25 mins away get there ten minutes till and nobody is there ? 9:15 still nobody so I walked over to the Cadillac Dealership and spoke with a gentleman and he laughed indicating this happens all the time, and I asked who was the manager was and he indicated his name was Ben ? I found another Body Shop local and had a great experience. From Ben Lying and Laughing to the gentleman at the Cadillac Dealership Laughing it seemed I was the only one not Laughing over my experience ! read more
