No one likes having to take their car into the shop to get fixed, especially after a hit and run. Everyone at Gerber in White Center took extra good care of me. Special thanks to Silvia and Roberto who helped me. They kept in touch throughout the process of the 2 weeks while my car was in the shop, called Enterprise to get a car for me and took care of returning it for me. Silvia even got ahold of my insurance woman who I was unable to get ahold of myself. The work on my car came back to be perfect! Detailed, cleaned and better than when I purchased the car. Never did I have to wait in their offices for more than 5 minutes, even during the inspection, drop off or pickup - which is very important to me! I would give -5 stars if I could. We called on Thursday to have our broken driver rear window fixed - from theft- as well as the windshield. We were on hold to get an appointment for 20 minutes. They then told us that the technician would arrive on Friday between 9 am and 1 pm and that he would call/text at 9 am to give us a better time of arrival. We made arrangements to meet the technician at home. We waited... and waited. At 10 am - no text or call. We then called the main number - same number on yelp - and I was on hold for 1 hour waiting for a representative. RIDICULOUS. We didn't hear from the technician at all on Friday. I didn't get through to a representative and wasn't about to wait on hold for more than I already have. I called all star glass repair shop in sodo and got it fixed! A few days later, on Monday, the Gerber technician texted and said he would be around soon. I replied and said please for f*%# sake disregard! STAY AWAY!! This company IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!! read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, even my mother in law. This company works in favor of insurance companies rather than its customers. I brought my 2013 BMW M3 to Gerber Collision and Glass to have the rear bumper filled and repainted. It took them two tries and almost a month. The first time they thought their work was done despite the wide variety of impurities, dots and and paint bubbles (it looked like a coral reef), not to mention the bumper was not mounted straight. I had to take it back to have it repainted. They said the car would be ready in a week but it took them ten days instead because they said "we want to do a good job". The paint issue was addressed, however the bumper is still not straight and it was not mounted properly. I recently took the car to another body shop (a real one); I was determined to find out why was it so hard to mount the bumper properly. I was told that there is a damage in the bracket that holds the bumper in place and somehow it was overlooked. Gerber Collision and glass conveniently neglected the damage in order to contain the cost to the exact amount of the deductible; Gerber Collision and Glass did everything maliciously in order to not file an insurance claim. The out of pocket deductible is instant cash while the insurance claim may take months for them to get the funds and it may compromise the dear contract gerber collision and glass has with insurance companies. At this point it's clear that Gerber Collision and Glass looks out for the insurance companies rather than the customer. They prefer to execute budget minded repairs in order to get cash flow and reduce the numbers of insurance claims. I don't want anything to do with these people anymore and I do not want them anywhere near my car. Seems to me that I have wasted the money on a phony repair, and on top of that I have to bring it to another body shop to have the car fixed a third time. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

I went in for a scheduled appointment for an estimate. The gal was nice and told she would have the estimate to my email later that Saturday. Tuesday arrives and I call the office and get the Customer Service Manager who says she will flag the estimate and call when it is ready. I called a few days later and nothing. Never even got an estimate -In the long run I am happy for b/c I am sure this is how they run their business. I've been to this Gerber Collision 3 times and the reason I go back is because each and every time they have done a spectacular job. They are very good about excellent customer service and attention to detail. I absolutely love Silvia, their front desk lady. She's always so personable and remembers me every time. She makes my visits there a personal visit and I feel valued as a customer. The current manager's name is Greg and he's such a nice guy. I trust them at Gerber and won't go anywhere else. Truly outstanding customer service. Incredibly nice, knowledgeable and professional. Went to Gerber Collision today to have my side mirror replaced. John looked it over, offered a few different repair options- ordering a new part, a used part (which he actually shopped out himself) and even a cheaper used part of another color! He gave me the cost of all options and then offered to try to glue it before trying the other more expensive options. He was able to glue it back in place- and was honest in saying that it may last a few days or indefinitely. He also glued the inside of the door panel as a bonus. And after a more than 45 minutes repair, he refused payment! Will definitely go there for all future repairs. read more

Gerber Auto Collison and Glass is awesome! Great customer service. Easy to make a appointment. I went there to get a estimate and got one written up in about 10 mins. I got one printed out and even emailed to my email. Easy for me to send to the insurance company I'm doing a claim for a accident that my car was damaged in. The gentlemen Alan Wall came out and did his job very well. Took lots of pictures and got on his computer and did what he does best! The receptionist lady was great too. She made me account for their company very quickly. She had a awesome vibe to her. Very easy to talk to. Everyone there to be honest had a great vibe!!! READ THIS BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. My family has been a long-time customer of Malo's before they transitioned to Gerber but this last service was virtually criminal. The same people still work there. We took our car in for a minor fender repair. The estimate was a week but they called later in the week to say that there were items that they had overlooked and needed more time. A week after that we were able to pick up our car. The customer service was very courteous throughout that whole time. That's the only good thing I can say about this business. The horror came when we picked up our car. The repair was certainly complete and was passable from a distance but up close it was substandard. You could clearly see that the seams were misaligned. That was very disappointing but fixable. They offered to fix it, but we opted not to give them a second crack at our car. Here's why. Our car was drivable before the repair. In fact, it was driven to their shop. Upon picking up our car, they informed us that our car was no longer drivable! They even gave a diagnosis and said that they had tried to make adjustments to be able to move it! WTF! You are a body shop; what are you doing messing with the engine?! Why did you not inform us of this issue when you first encountered it? There's more: they used up half a tank of gas and didn't even bother to hide unauthorized use of our car. On top of that I find that one of the wheel rims had been gouged. I truly believe that during the extra time that they had our car, they swapped parts out of it with another car. Without before and after photos and without serial numbers on the parts, I don't have proof that they did what I allege but I believe my evidence is compelling. read more

Gerber Collision & Glass recently bought this location, which was formerly Malo's Autobody. You can find more reviews for this repair shop by searching under their former name. The same Malo family that has run this location for decades still works here. My car was recently t-boned by a woman flying out of a parking lot who crashed into the passenger side of my car as I was driving down the street. It was a low-impact accident so the engine was fine, but my front passenger door was dented and wouldn't open. My insurance company sent me to Gerber because it was the closest approved repair shop. I was able to drop my car off for an estimate and pick it up an hour later. This place is popular so they were booking repair appointments for 2 weeks out. I was able to schedule the repair to fall over a time when I was going to be out-of-state on vacation so that I wouldn't have to deal with getting a rental car. They estimated that the repair would be done in 4 days and it was. The only problem was that when they painted the new door to match the rest of the car, the shade was slightly off. It was subtle - only visible in a certain light at a certain angle - and because it was on my passenger side I probably wouldn't have noticed it right away. Fortunately Gerber saw their mistake before returning the car to me and alerted me. They wanted to keep it an extra day to fix it, but I couldn't leave it because I needed the car the next day to get to an appointment. I dropped it off a week later on a day that they were busy, but they promised me I could get it back that evening so long as I dropped if off first thing in the morning. I would have dropped it off early, except my car developed a flat tire overnight from driving over a nail, so I had to wait more than an hour for roadside assistance to come in the morning and put on my spare tire. Because I dropped my car off later in the morning it wasn't done by the end of the day. I explained that I really needed the car the next day, so they stayed open late finishing the job! This time the paint job was perfect. I'm not a car person at all, and I was nervous about taking my car to some random repair shop that I knew nothing about. But they did a good job, were eager to fix a mistake and make sure I was satisfied, and even went out of their way to get my car back to me on time. read more

A guy smashed into me on the highway on Wednesday. I had my car into White Center Gerber on Thursday and it was done by the following Tuesday (just 4 business days.) Office Manager, LaShanda is friendly, extremely helpful and super knowledgeable. She made the process go so smoothly. She arranged for my rental and was helpful in the insurance process too. Jimmy was very responsive and provided a quick estimate and then had my car in the shop right away. The shop was so fast at getting my car repaired well! I am super impressed with this shop. I had an absolutely amazing experience with Gerber in West Seattle - my less than 2 months old SUV was rear-ended before I even had made my first car payment and we had a horrible experience with FixAuto in Burien, the repair paint didn't match the body paint, and we were in a tough spot trying to resolve the issue after months of going back and forth with Fix, who basically had told us "tough luck". My husband talked to Gerber and from the onset they were nothing but helpful and accommodating. They were able to find their best paint facility with a technician who specialized in Mazda paint, and although the facility was over an hour away, they offered to make arrangements for my car to be flat-bed shipped to the location, rent a car for us on their account with little/no work from us, and had my car back to me in less than a week in perfect condition. The paint is flawless and it took less than 1/3 the time that the original body work took. Morgan who helped us was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They made a pretty horrific event so much less stressful and I would not hesitate to come back should we ever run into any other body or glass work needs. I want to preface this review with the information that I went completely through your online process. As far as the local service techs go as far as I can tell they were doing their job. Your Corporate office or entity or whatever Glass USA is messed things up and lost my money as a customer. They first messed up the part order which wasted both my time and your service techs time last Friday. The service rep from Glass USA based in Las Vegas??? called me and apologized for the mistake and guaranteed my window would be replaced on Monday. I get a call on Monday morning that it cannot be done but guarantee it can be done on Tuesday. Already wasted a few hours taking time from work to get this done and a week after my window was broken in a vehicle prowl.....it is still broken and not replaced. Perhaps it would have been a different experience just going locally but this is the route I was directed through by your online services and interactions. Locally you guys seemed to be up to task but whatever corporate entity you are affiliated with is not good and should not make guarantee promises for service that they cannot live up to. read more

Lets start with costumer service. Linda at front desk is super sociable and nice. I like talking to her because she can keep a convo going whether its about your car or whatever else. As for John, he is great! Always the one to keep me updated on my vehicle while its still in the shop, he sends out estimates really quick and of course a nice man. As for Gerber, they really did the job well. Its like brand new! Love it. Close to home, ill definitely go there again. I trust them. However pricing wise... Haha pricey. This place is extremely unprofessional and does a horrible job of managing timelines. Every week was whoops we for got order that. Or oh the car will be done Friday then we would hear nothing from them for a week. The car was with them for over a month and a half. Their continued excuses were unacceptable. The work was mediocre at best. I let my insurance company know how horrible it has been and they even said we aren't the first ones to complain about this place. They stopped providing us timelines and would just go dark, so my husband would have to reach out to them to ask what was going on and it would be another excuse with another nonsense timeline that they would not stick to. This place is amazing! I can't recommend them highly enough. I went to their shop after I rear ended someone (first time in my 40 + yr driving history) so I was very shook up. I only have liability coverage so I needed to get my car fixed out of my pocket. The front right tire, headlight, bumper and fender were damaged They could have told me they don't do that kind of work and sent me away but instead, Linda, who is one of the kindest people I've ever met, had one of her guys put a spare tire on it and see if it was ok to at least drive to a shop that handles my kind of situation. They referred me to a shop that they know who does good work at a reasonable price and they stored my car until I could move it at no charge. But after the incredible, amazing customer service I received yesterday from the new owners, Gerber Collision & Glass, I am excited to say that they absolutely have the same high level of care & excellence as Malo's & urge everyone to check them out because they ROCK. Some jerk had scratched my side door while I was parked & didn't leave a note, so I resigned myself to paying for this thru my insurance or out of pocket. Alexandra Juras, who works the front desk & is amazing, came out to give me an estimate and said they could buff the scratches out & apply any paint needed, for FREE & would have the mechanic do it while I waited! As I sat in their front room, drinking the FREE, delicious Keurig coffee, PRESTO, within 5 minutes, had my car looking like brand new again.
