SKIP THIS PLACE. Got in a little fender bender, all good. A few years later, got into an accident and trusted Gerber again. Bryan and office staff are great, but once I got my car back, my interior door handle literally broke through the door panel. The whole panel cracked and when I tried to push it back in because it visually bothered me, it wouldn't go back in because there was a glob of glue?? Thought it was strange because those handles are hefty and no way glue was keeping it there. Fast forward a couple years, my car just got broken into so I had to get the driver-side window replaced. The man asked "has this vehicle been an accident?" I said "yes, why?" and he proceeded to tell me that they completely jimmy-rigged my door back together, parts are missing, THEY broke my handle because they tried to take off my panel without unscrewing the handle so tried to correct their mistake with glue, and never put insulation or replaced other miscellaneous parts. Mind you, those words are coming from a professional and he said all-in-all it would've costed them maybe $100 to do it, but yet they cut corners? Like why? Insurance would've covered it. Better yet I'm going to pull up my invoice and see if they charged me for it and never did it. So they'll be hearing from me. read more

Great on all accounts! I took my 2017 Toyota Rav 4 to Gerber on Colfax for a repair after a hit and Run. They repaired the damage but the passenger side door made a little sound when I opened and closed it afterward. I took it back into them to have it looked at and they fixed it right on the spot. They also offered to rub out the old headlight so it matched the new headlight on the other side that they replaced. They gave great customer care through the whole process. Horrible customer service. Wouldn't fix what they estimated to fix and cracked my bumper after the fact. Jennifer D was of no assistance in my bumper being cracked. She did not deny Gerber cracked it, but never gave a solution on how they were going to resolve getting it fixed. I left a google review yesterday and got a response back from the owner this morning advising Jennifer D already spoke to me. Yes, she spoke to me, didn't help, so I left a review, and I would like the owner to reach out to me on some type of resolution, not just to say that Jennifer D already spoke to me. It is an impossible time to get a part from any car manufacturer, but at least Ryan kept us informed about the progress. He called every week to update us. The bad news is that I have had to bring my car to Gerber twice this year. The good news is that they have been wonderful to work with. Very good about getting me text updates about the repair process, worked with me to schedule the repairs when I could do them, and even were able to add an additional item I needed replaced to my repair. They got the job done on our car. Took about 12 days past the quoted 18 days. They said they would text/call with weekly updates on the progress, never got a call. Had to call them to ask if they were still working on it or not. Car came back fixed and new. Got side swiped and they returned it like new. Great work but 3 stars because I feel like they left us hanging on updates and letting us know it'd take longer. read more

My vehicle was hit while parked at St. Anthony's Hospital ER and the driver of course didn't stay on scene to take responsibility. My insurance scheduled me for an appointment with Gerber Collision. They initially inspected the vehicle and told me it was only cosmetic damage. They clearly didn't do a full inspection as my gas tank had cracked and I was leaking fuel. My car had to be towed to Gerber then sent to a dealership for that repair. My vehicle took over 7 weeks to repair. During this time, they were awful about communicating with me about what was being done. They said my vehicle was secured while there but it was left parked on the street several times with the parts on the seats (in a not so great part of town with lots of foot traffic). When I went to pick it up, it was parked in the lot of a neighboring fast food business. And the icing on the cake, the hood had several deep scratches which were not there when they took the vehicle for repairs. Gerber is refusing to accept responsibility for them even though the vehicle was in their care or the care of a company they partner with. I was told they "tried to buff it out" as a fix to the damage unrelated to the crash. They also refused to hook up the after market alarm system which was already installed, making me find another company to do this. I cannot put into words how awful this company is and how disappointing and frustrating this whole situation has been. Would rate negative stars if that was an option....I guess in reading reviews this is how they do business. Wish I would have known that before.... read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Although, I don't know the outcome of my car repair (from hail damage) as it was there for months when I was told it would take weeks and was then "stolen" once the work was complete. I was informed of the situation Tuesday morning through Roy who is probably the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. The entire situation seems a little sketchy considering the work had just been completed and the keys were left in the ignition over the weekend. When I asked Roy about their security system he proceeded to laugh, saying that they forgot to enable it and then continued to laugh at me when I got upset with him. Roy then proceeded to tell me not to worry because my insurance would cover it, but let's not forget about the fact that whoever stole my vehicle now has my home address and access to my home. If you steal a car I assume you don't have a moral compass to not break into a home. But then again, that's a laughing matter and not taken seriously by our dear Roy over at Gerber Collision. Class Act. As I said before, it seems a little suspicious that everything was so "easy" for whoever "stole" my car or at least we can say it good timing. I have my own assumption of what happened to my vehicle, but will leave it up to you to decide what you think really happened to it. read more

I've read some of the earlier poor reviews and can only think that they have done a bang-up job at Gerber to address their customers' concerns because my experience was wonderful. My 9-year-old car looks brand new! Wes and team were warm, helpful, and responsive. And, they were wonderful at communicating with their text updates. They did everything to accommodate my schedule between travels for aa business trip and a death in the family. For this, I am truly grateful. I have places that are closer to me in Golden, but I would return to this location because of the experience I had. read more

3 years ago I had the worst experience with this Gerber location and swore I'd never return. Came to find out they did a shotty repair so I had to return a few weeks ago to get the repair, repaired. I expected it to be a miserable experience but was blown away by the new GM Jennifer Diaz. She took total ownership of the issue and did everything she could to make it right while going above and beyond with communication and even assisting with getting my rental covered. 10/10 experience thanks to Jenny and her team. I was recommended to this business by my insurance agency who gave me a half dozen companies to contact. This was after my car's hood got a major ding from a rock being thrown up at it by a gravel truck. When I walked in Roy gave me several options for having the repair addressed and got me right in even though I didn't have an appointment. The man who actually did the work was also extremely professional, very polite, and made my car look all but new again. Their location is convenient and very easy to find being right across the street from Casa Bonita. It's also right next to my other favorite restaurant - Chicago - the perfect place to grab some food while your car is being worked on. I could not be happier with my experience. Gerber was late in getting my car down, which ended up costing me $200 in rental car charges. Rick from Gerber called today to apologize for their part, and is sending me $200 to cover the extra charges from Enterprise. Gerber did the right thing. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had working with a repair shop. The mechanic obviously doesn't know what he's doing my car is still out of alignment and it took him 3 weeks to do a job the dealership did in 3 days. Then my car was returned to me with a dead battery which it didn't have when it went in and they couldn't even refill the windshield wiper fluid after they used it all my car has grease stained leather seats and everything Inside has been rearranged why I dint know. It took 5 weeks for a two week job and then they lied to my insurance saying the car was done sooner and also told that to my girlfriend when she picked it up. Unprofessional and horrible service. Do not give them your business. I made an appointment three weeks in advance and when I came in they said they did not have me scheduled. They refused to make things right as it was their error. I was offered to wait if the next appointment didn't show up they would see me, but if not it would be another three weeks. I was treated like a criminal and not a customer. I let the insurance company know they are not an easy company to deal with. Apparently if you have so much business they don't need to practice good customer service. I called Abra and they got me in the next day. read more

I had a friend that went to this place a few years ago and said good things. Someone backed into me in a parking lot. I was trying to do them a favor by not going through insurance, but did need to get a general quote. The lady at the desk was nice, but would not even go get the guy to take 2 minutes to come take a quick look at a minor dent. I didn't need him to pull anything off or see what was underneath the dent. I just needed him to look a the area that was dented and give me a general estimate. The lady stated that he was too busy and booked all day and refused to even ask if he could take a few minutes to look. Sadly I will not be giving them service if they can't take two minutes for a new customer. read more

Some punk threw a rock at my back window and Gerber glass was the first to respond and able to get out to me asap. Will was my tech and he did a great job but just wasn't able to get all of the broken glass out if the hatchback door. We scheduled meet & greet at this location to uses pressures air to clean it out for free. It took about 30-45mins and all of the glass is out. Thank you so much Will! read more

I took my older vehicle there and they worked with me to redo some body work that was done previously by another company. They worked with the original insurance company, got it approved, arranged for a rental car and kept in touch during the process. I don't think they made any actual promises about the finish date. That seems to be an issue with some Yelpers. How can a body shop give any type of finish date when there are so many moving parts to this type of work? And what does how long it takes really matter if you have a rental car? I mean, my rental car was much nicer than the one being repaired, I was in no hurry to get it back. My finish date was pushed out a couple of times because they had to source a specific part. IIRC, when we were getting closer to the finish, they did give me a date to focus on. Then it was finished in due time and it really does look good and I am pleased with the results. read more

I was in a car accident and had the other driver's insurance (USAA) suggest this body shop, as they're a preferred vendor. I will not be recommending this location to anyone. The car was not delivered on time. When it was "finished," I was told that I could come by after work since they would be there after hours until 7pm. Once I arrived, I was told that my car was "buried in the garage," and they couldn't get it out. In reality, they weren't finished with the car. I waited another several days until they could have the paint finished. They did deliver my car to me after it was done, which was a nice touch, but it was delivered without a front grill, which they were still waiting to receive, and still needed paint touch-ups. When I went to go use it after delivery, my tire was flat. I dropped it back off, and was provided another rental. The manager, Josh, treated me like a child on the phone, making accusations that I was lying about receiving their update voicemails and that he wouldn't pay for my rental vehicle. I've never been so offended by someone who is supposed to be in customer service. Thoroughly embarrassed and disappointed by this whole interaction. Will not be returning. read more

I have had great experiences with Gerber. They repaired my Landcrusier back in 2014 after I was in a collision and did an excellent job and, more recently, helped me with my hail claim. Wes is the best! He explained everything to me clearly and walked me through every step of the process. He communicated with me in a timely manner and followed up regularly to make sure I had a clear understanding of what I was dealing with. My car ended up being totaled, but I would 100% have trusted Gerber to perform any repairs deemed necessary. I had such a good experience in 2014 and again this past month. STOLEN CAR & GM MAKING THREATS!! TERRIBLE DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WORKED ON BY THESE PEOPLE. First thing this morning my wife gets a call from Roy the GM (not the owner even though he claims to be) that her car has been STOLEN from their shop. So my wife gets upset with Roy.....because her car was stolen and we have personal information in the car like our address and garage door opener. She starts to yell at Roy, because he tells her they forgot to set the alarm, but it was only two cars that were stolen. My wife is crying and yelling at him, so Roy starts to laugh at my wife, and he says I don't know why you are so upset it was a company car...maybe because these criminals have our address and garage door opener (Roy isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but tool is appropriate in describing him). This is where it gets interesting. So I also have my truck being worked on at Gerber and so I call Roy and asked him if my car was stolen too, because it seems like a theme over there at Gerber. He immediately gets defensive and annoyed that I am calling. I explain to him that my wife's car was stolen and I am calling to see if my car was stolen but he cant grasp it and keeps saying I don't need to be yelled at by you too. I then said obviously you do because you are an idiot and bad at your job. He goes on to tell me to come on down so we can settle this like men, and I said are you serious I am a customer and he said no your wife is, so i said I have my truck there too. He then tells me again why don't you come down here and prove how tough you really are. Soooooo I drove down there to get my keys and tell them to stop work on my truck and to also remind Roy that he is an idiot. Instead of Roy following up on his threats when he was a telephone tough guy he locks himself in his office and calls the police....hahahahaha. Long and short of it the cops got my car out of this terrible place for me and I made a couple phone calls to corporate, because lets be honest Roy struggles in the customer service department. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR FIXED HERE, UNLESS YOU WANT THE GM TO TRY AND KICK YOUR A$$ OVER THE PHONE, OR THE POSSIBILITY OF YOUR CAR GETTING STOLEN!! read more

My car was hit a couple of months ago, and I took it to Gerber because it was the place recommended by my insurance company. When I went to get the estimate, I asked for an estimate on fixing a couple other things that had been previously damaged- the windshield and the grille. The estimate Eddy gave me for the grille was $265. I said that was WAY more than it was worth to me, and I didn't want to do that repair. Eddy said he would look around and see if he could find a used one for cheaper, and I said "ok." I never heard back from him on a cheaper grille. I dropped my car off for the repairs, and when I picked it up I was charged $268 for a brand new grille. I said that wasn't a repair I had approved and I should not be charged for it. Eddy offered to reimburse me for half the price of the grille (not the labor), which ended up being $85. After I left, I noticed the grille didn't even have a Toyota emblem on the front. When I called and asked about it, Eddy said they would have to order it separately. When I went in to get it put on, I was charged another $25 for the emblem. SO, in all, I ended up paying $208 for a repair that I had not approved in the first place. It was all very shady, and I won't be returning here or recommending it to anyone else. read more

Let's be real - nobody enjoys having to repair damages to their car. However, the people at Gerber did their best to make it as easy as possible for me, which was really appreciated! From the moment I called to inquire, Dana, the receptionist was so kind and explained everything in a very detailed manner. She answered all my questions and was so nice. I scheduled my repairs and I met her in person at the front desk. You can tell she really cares about her work and helping people. I had never had collision repair, and she took the time to walk me through the process and told me what to expect. Gerber also made arrangements for my rental car, which was really nice. I had a rental for 2 weeks while they repaired my car. They constantly kept me updated on the status of my vehicle by phone calls and texts. I liked knowing where they were at in the process. In fact, my car was ready ahead of schedule too! And, they interfaced with the insurance company, so I didn't have to worry about that. I'd give this Gerber location 2 thumbs up, and kudos especially to Dana for being so helpful, patient and good with explaining what to expect! read more

You would be better off giving a crack head a can of spray paint! After my insurance referred them I brought my brand new 2017 in for hail damage. When I showed up to drop off they had lost my appointment. They sent me to another Gerber in Englewood to accommodate. When I got my vehicle back the bumper was hung crooked. Brought it back to englewood. A year later the paint started chipping off, brought it back to Lakewood. They repainted one panel. When I left realized there was a gaping hole in my ceiling where a light used to be, brought it back again. They kept it to "go over everything". Left again and realized none of the lights on passenger side worked... brought it back for 3rd time. They fixed electrical they had broken. Left and was driving down I-70 when I heard something smashing my roof. They had taken 1/2 the roof rack off to paint and didn't bolt back on. Brought it back for 4th time. Insurance company now gets re-involved. They fix rack and detail. I leave again and now notice cheap paint job is chipping off next panel.... bring it back for 5th time. Gerber sends out their "quality control person", finds more faulty paint. They send To Cedar street location to have another panel painted for 6th time! After leaving I find paint flaking off on hood. It is now going in for 7th time!!! Need to be completely resanded and done over. They have had my vehicle in total for over 6 months. If I could give zero stars, I would. Hands down, this was one of the worst experiences of my life. My car was hit by a stolen car in Denver. Since I don't live in Denver, my insurance company had it sent to Gerber for repair. After being told an original estimated fix date of roughly 1 month, I didn't get the car back for 2 more weeks after that date. I called or emailed constantly to ask for updates and was consistently told it would be ready the next day, when in reality nobody apparently knew. After finally getting it back, the hood was not on straight, there's overspray everywhere, the leading edge of the hood is not painted, the paint wasn't even blended, and scratches on the side view mirrors were not repaired. That's just what we've found after having it back for one hour. Contacting my insurance company asap because this is completely unacceptable. Never, ever use Gerber. I am going to tell everyone I know about this experience. Unreal and terrible. Get it together, Gerber. read more

After a collision with a wall my insurance company recommended I go to Gerber. The receptionist was very nice and helpful; the estimator was thorough and the cost was in line with other repair shops. All went exceptionally well during the repair process. I was contacted at least twice a week with updates on the progress of the repairs and estimates of when I could expect to get my car back. It was actually finished a few days early and the repairs are excellent. If my story stopped here I would have given five stars. Unfortunately there is more. When I picked up my car it was a warm day and I turned on my air conditioning. It wasn't working. I went back into the office and told the receptionist that my A/C wasn't working. She asked someone to help we with it and before anyone could respond the "manager" started speaking loudly from inside his office (he could see the reception desk from there) about how no one had touched my A/C; that the damage to my car was all on the outside and they had not ever gone under the hood. And he kept going on and on with a raised voice as if I had stormed in and accused the shop of breaking my A/C. Then he said something that was clearly a completely made up lie about checking the A/C when I brought the car in. That made me very upset because the statement made no sense and I was obviously being patronized. Unfortunately this altercation escalated and eventually I drove my car away while he was still yelling at me. There are two sides to every story. He was probably having a really bad day. I never accused the shop of breaking my A/C, I just wanted some help. But even if I had his response was completely inappropriate for dealing with a customer. I was treated very, very rudely and he made me very angry. It was all so unnecessary. What would have been so wrong with saying . . . "Let's go look and see what the problem is."? read more
