We've had body work done at this shop several times over the years - some insurance work and some self-funded. This time it involved replacing some rubber trim that was eaten by the local car wash. I got the estimate, they ordered the parts, and I had them installed - all over the course of just two days. Other than the fact that I had to pony up ($) myself, the process went quick and easy and everyone at the shop was very friendly and helpful, especially Christian, the estimator. Wow, what a great experience at this location. Annette, front desk person was always very friendly and helpful even after having to answer the same question multiple times for people on the phone. Then you have Kayla. She is the Estimator that gave me the estimate and then kept me up to date on what was happening. Both of these people are true professionals and makes the process very easy and stress free. Finally, the people in the back that that you do not see. They did an excellent job on my car. In the span of a couple of months, both of our cars had to pay a visit to Gerber. Sadly, my truck was no match for a teenager in a sports car and we had to let it go to the big garage in the sky. My wife's car was returned to us looking like new after a rear-end collision tore the bumper apart. (I don't know what was going on, but there were a LOT of accidents in this area during that time... the folks at Gerber even commented that it was unusually busy for them) We dealt with Ruth at the front desk both times and she was great. Very helpful and compassionate and we got everything taken care of. She even remembered us when we had to come BACK for the second car. Anyway, going through all of the insurance paperwork and getting back whole was less of a hassle than i would have thought (and, the second time around so soon, we were already familiar with the process!) For our second time, they determined that the vehicle was still safely drive-able, so they ordered parts and called us once they arrived, minimizing our time without our vehicle, which I appreciated. I have moved recently and lost track of the name of the gentleman who helped us out, which is a shame because I felt like he really cared that we got what we needed and were back on the road ASAP. He went through the estimate with me to make sure I understood everything and the work they did was top-notch. I'd recommend this place. read more

These people are shady AF. My neighbor backed into my Jeep, his insurance sent me to this shop. Initially they were very responsive, and professional. I had several phone contacts with Gerber to coordinate the inspection of my vehicle. Then the insurance company sent them the money to fix my Jeep. After waiting for about three weeks for Gerber to contact me to take it in, I called them. They literally said they had no record of me, my Jeep or the neighbor's insurance company GEICO. It took several more phone calls between Gerber and GEICO over the course of about three more weeks; to make Gerber acknowledge that they had indeed already received the insurance money weeks ago, to fix my still damaged vehicle. Gerber staff told me that they hadn't contacted me to bring my vehicle in, because they "didn't have my phone number." So I take my car in, they fix it, but when I get into my Jeep to drive away, I notice a huge crack in my windshield that was definitely not there when I dropped it off. I go back in to Gerber tell them, the receptionist smugly informs me that the damage was there when I dropped the vehicle off and that they took a photo to document it. I acknowledged that there was a small pit from a rock on the freeway from the week before, but the damage was several inches from the new crack. I measured the crack to be slightly smaller than two dollar bills, end to end. Of course they failed to produce any photo to back up their assertion that the crack was there when I dropped it off; and a manager came out to try to gaslight me, saying that the crack was there when I dropped it off but totally ignoring my requests for the photo that the receptionist said they had taken. So beware of these people! They're shady. I do not recommend. read more

We've used Gerber multiple times to repair damage to our vehicles and this time we were completely happy with the service and quality of their work. One of the bumper sensors came loose the day after I picked the car up and I called and they got me right in to take care of it - took about 15 minutes and I was on the road again. Took my car in for an insurance repair. Before the repair my satellite navigation and USB charging ports in my center column worked perfectly fine. When they returned the car to me these items no longer work. Gerber tried to get my insurance to pay to fix, and claim that aftermarket parts and wires are why they can't fix something they broke. They have narrowed the issue down to wiring, but again, won't fix the car to the state it was in before they worked on it because they can't get the insurance to fix what they broke. read more

I drove to Mesa for a getaway from Las Vegas. During my drive a semi truck ran over a tire tried that flipped up and damaged the whole front drivers side of my car and undercarriage. It was a Friday so my insurance claim couldn't go they til Monday. Gerber came and towed my car, I got tons of updates from Ruth the office lady, very caring and amazing, she understood that I was scheduled to leave For Vegas on Tuesday and made every effort to get it done. Well, here i was in need of having my brand new 2020 Truck fixed due to a deer running out in front of me. With less then 1300 miles on the new truck i was very nervous to take it to a body shop, as my past experience with Caliber Collison was a nightmare. Called this place after reading some of their reviews and John the GM spoke to me. I told him my past experience with a body shop, and he assured me he would take care of my truck if i left it with them. Took it down there the next day and a lady by the name of Ruth greeted me. Very pleased with their Customer Service from the beginning!! John showed me around their shop and i decided to leave my truck with them. My insurance paid for the car rental, but due to COVID the body shop was unable to get all the parts needed for my truck s soon as it would normally take. John was nice enough to cover my rental after my insurance limit come due. To make this a short version, i got my truck back yesterday and it is perfect. John even took it to the GMC dealership before having me pick it up, to make sure everything was working properly and that all the safety points were still working. The level of service from John, Ruth and Christian was over the top !! Wish more business's treated people like this and gave the level of service this place does. For starters if you want to have your car looked at call them before going in cause you will need an appointment for an estimate, which should not be surprising to anyone with the amount of people moving to this state & how busy things have gotten. Ruth at the front is so sweet and so knowledgeable. She definitely likes to make sure everyone is taken care of. Christian did the estimate and it was quick & fast, took some photos, created my estimate then got back to me to schedule a time to drop off the car. John the manager is also very helpful especially when explain anything about cars (especially since I don't know much). Now my car OH MY GOSH ITS AMAZING! The team there did an amazing job, I honestly don't even have the words to describe how good of job they did! They are super reliable & will try very hard to get your car done as soon as they can. We discussed my concerns and concluded that it was an off day for this location on customer service. Overall I feel that Gerber is a good corporation where you can receive great service to get your vehicle fixed. I'm going to give three stars "A-OK" due to the fact my voice was heard, a manager personally reached out to me and we discussed my review/concerns to help them as a business move forward on providing excellent quality costumer service. Another reason why I give three stars. If I'm a customer seeking to earn your business. I expect you to honor your word as you expect me to pay the full price of your services. Updated April 1, 2019: Christian reached out about my review and had me get in touch with John their manager. John explained the dull patches in the paint as a mistake during their detail process and the oily spot was from a plastic rejuvenation product. John had me bring the car back so they could detail it properly and paid for an uber to get me there and back. My original review gave them 3 stars but after watching them bend over backwards to help me they deserve all 5 I really want to give them 5 Stars but I cant. On a good note John, Ruth, and Christian are the best! Ruth is super nice, and Christian addressed all of my concerns and got me a rental when I had to bring my VW back. If you want the TL;DR, their office workers are great and will do whatever they can to help make sure your car looks amazing when it leaves their shop. Dont be afraid to point out any blemishes. They've now had my car twice now and it's still not fixed. The first time I got my car back it they didnt refill the coolant. The reservoir was bone dry when I got home and had it not been for the short distance between my house and Gerber, they would be replacing my car. Christian was nice enough to send a technician to my house to fill it up but that's still a critical fluid that should've been checked after the car had its radiator replaced. The hood was also damaged in the accident but my insurance admitted they should've put it on the estimate, and told me they'll arrange to have Gerber fix the hood. I just got the car back a second time and now there's patches in the driver fender where someone leaned against the car while the clearcoat was fresh, theres a white/gray spot where I'm assuming someone sanded through the color while prepping the car. The hood also has this weird oil slick looking spot that I'm hoping is from whatever they use to detail the car and will go away on it's own. The office people are great but their technicians dont pay attention so I'll probably end up taking the Golf to a different Gerber to have these issues addressed under their warranty. read more

I feel after Gerber has contacted me about my review that I should update it. Per their comment on my review, they are trying to rectify my concerns. However, so far it's been all talk and no action. Secondly, I feel they should reimburse us, per their promise. Why should we be responsible for paying for repairs that were not completed upon multiple attempts. Lastly, in my original review I claimed this place was disorganized. Their response to my review only reinforces my beliefs. I have no clue how they think this is my daughters car since my review clearly states it is my wife's car. That's okay, this just shows how much they care about their customers. I took my car to Gerber Collision to have my car repaired after I was hit by another car. I was very pleased with the work done on my car and the customer service I received from John Schira, Christian Garcia and Ruth, the first face you see when you walk in the door. I've had to bring it back a couple of times to have work from a previous accident that was unfortunately done by another body shop and John and Christian went above and beyond to help fix something their shop wasn't even responsible for. The staff here was super friendly and helpful. They just seem eager to go out of their way to do little things to be helpful, especially the lady at the front desk. I appreciated getting periodic text messages letting me know the status of the work. I realize they are likely automated, but it made me feel like I wasn't forgotten. Took her car in (my wife) on Friday, left with their promise to call me Saturday. Saturday, Monday and Tuesday went by with no call.
