My car was repaired after being hit in a parking lot, and if I didn't know that already, you probably couldn't convince me the car had the damages it did. On top of that, everyone at Gerber is incredibly personable and kind with excellent customer service. They even vacuumed my interior, which is no small task, given I'm a mom with two dogs who shed their fur like crazy; my car hasn't been cleaned inside in an embarrassingly long time! The cherry on top was the offer to return my rental for me. I couldn't be happier with my experience, and plan to return for future services. read more

My vehicle was in an accident and I asked AAA to tow to GERBER. I've had positive experiencing in the past with this location, however based on their lack of customer service, it's best to steer clear. I was able to be serviced by North Olmsted Auto Collision located at 28415 Lorain Rd North Olmsted, OH 44070 (2 miles further on Lorain) and they gladly received the towed vehicle despite they're busy schedule. read more

My journey with this company to fix a dent on my side car started Aug 20th, 2024 and Ended hopefully today October 2nd, 2024. They quoted me 9 days to fix my car so if you have to come here for any circumstances please be prepared to wait forever to get your car fix. They have no communication whatsoever unless you keep calling yourself waited for 2 weeks for a call back for a part for my car and only called to find out they been having the part(a mirror) with them the whole time. At this point i'm over the whole situation i want this nightmare to end so i finally go in 9/23 to get my mirror replaced the final piece to end this nightmare one would hope. Now I did go through my insurance so my insurance paid in full to REPLACE the whole mirror. I go they say my car is fixed and I leave but something in my head tells me to pull over not far from the shop and check my mirror. Sure enough they tried pulling a fast one and just buff my mirror didn't tell me that so if i would've never double checked they would've walked away with extra in their pocket for not doing a job they were paid for. Whoever is the "boss" ,i said that cause i've meet 3 people that are in "charge", needs to inspect their employees work and make sure they are doing the job correctly. Not only was the mirror done wrong, they messed up my blinker where it didn't work, the door rattles when i drive it. Someone needs to do better there but i doubt it will happen. I should've asked for a gas card for how many trips i had to make back and forth for them to keep fixing stuff that should've been done correct the first time. They say they have lifetime warranty on their repairs but now i know it will take a lifetime to get one part in. I will add though Dez was very friendly only person to make this experience slightly better. This is a response to the comment left under no one was in contact with me before or after this review was posted it's all lies. 16 hrs labor took12 days and I had to call on progress Finally ready for. 30 minute ordeal waiting for a passive nonverbal person to finalize my paperwork and take my credit e but their antiquated system wouldn't work. Watched her open and close a computer payment app about 50 times until I waved someone to come out of his office to help. Turn the computer off and back on no apologies just shrugs. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would... TL;DR -- Had drivers side control arm replaced. New control arm made knocking/squeaking noises. Pointed this out as soon as I picked my car up and was told it was normal. Now 2 years later my Ford dealer cannot align my car because the new control arm is loose (but somehow the old control arm is still fine?) I'll preface this by saying that my initial repair was over 2 years ago by the time I'm posting this and the shop was previously Suburban Collision, but I believe they were bought by Gerber or whatever series of events happened that lead it to be what it is now. Anyway, Gerber definitely has the records of the repair, so for the sake of this review I'm considering them the same. Just over 2 years ago now, I had to take my car there as suggested by my insurance provider, Geico, as a certified location. I hit a nasty pothole on these wonderful Ohio roads which lead to a series of events culminating in 2 blown tires and a busted drivers side control arm. Everything seemed to go fine at the time. The repair took just as long as they told me, but when I went to pick it up... there was a weird noise that wasn't previously there. I took my car home the first day and immediately brought it back after work the next day because there was some obnoxious knocking and squeaking coming from the new control arm area. I even had a tech take the care for a spin around the block and was told "this is just a normal sound" but as I'm sure most people reading this know that a normal car doesn't make sounds worth noting... but this one did. So as I'm not a mechanic, I take this as a reasonable reply and continue on about my life driving this car that knocks every time I hit a bump. Now we're 2 years down the road and it's time to replace some worn tires and get an alignment at my dealership... but suddenly I'm told that they can't align my tires because my "drivers side control arm is loose." What? How is that possible? It's less than 2 years old and I was told it was fine. I had my dealership techs take the car for a spin and toss it up on the rack to check it out. I explained all of this to them and just asked that they verify what the noise is and where it's coming from. Low and behold the sound that I reported to Suburban Collision (Gerber) at the time of repair is exactly what is preventing my car from being aligned. The Ford dealership calls Gerber who informs them that it has been over 2 years since the repair so it is not warrantied... again despite me having mentioned this EXACT THING at the time of the repair and being told it was perfectly normal. read more

I took my Sprinter van to Gerber Collison in North Olmsted on 1/3/19 for rust repair through Mercedes warranty. They were instructed to Paint the following areas: 2 back doors and a small area next to the passenger door. I called several times to check on my van, I was told they didn't have a painter and that they were behind. On March 20th, they called and said my van was done. When I arrived to pick up the van, I found additional rust and dents that weren't there when I took it in. Gerber said, "No problem, we will fix it." About a month later, the van was finally ready to be picked up. I inspected the van when I arrived at Gerber, everything seemed to be ok. When the van was under a light I found several problems. First, there was rust on each side of the windshield. Second, body work that was done poorly, I could have done a better job with a can of spray paint! When I asked about the rust they stated that I didn't tell them about it. Again, I asked for them to inspect the van for rust! I finally called Gerber Corporate. I was put in contact with someone to take care of the additional rust and poor workmanship. Weeks went by nothing was done. I called and sent emails about getting this taking care of, I was told they didn't have a loner available (which Mercedes provided). Again this started 1/3/19 now it's May. Finally, they called and said take the van to Gerber in the city of Berea. I met with the manager and went over what needed done. They tried to get Mercedes to pay for the third time for rust work. Mercedes said they would not pay a third time to do the job. Finally, they agreed to fix the poor workmanship and the rust on each side of the windshield. About week later , I received a call that additional rust was found on the roof. The manager stated it was from the ladder rack. Now, this is the 4th time I asked them to inspect for rust. When i took it in, nothing was said. It was stated to me by a Gerber employee that all vehicles have rust, it's not their practice to inspect vehicle for rust. So, when I asked them to inspect the van, he said that wasn't their job. I would think they would want to inspect it for additional work. I guess they don't need the business. It's 6/4/19 the van still isn't repaired and won't be fix properly. I'm a contractor, my van is like my office, my business has been disrupted since January. DON'T USE GERBER. read more
